Happily the writing style has improved since the first book Legally Bound, and the plot kept me guessing.

Unhappily there is limited character development and very little insight into what has moulded the protagonists. This is a romance between Jesse and George who met when their best friends Daniel and Rafael became romantically involved under trying circumstances (excuse the pun) in the previous book Legally Bound.

I was expecting at least some insight or background,

After being sat on a cliff edge for the last six months, following the end of Legally Bound, I almost fell to my fate with excitement when Breach Of Contract came into my possession.

There’s nothing like starting with a bang, and JR Gray has certainly nailed it. From the offset we see George and his many sides. The man is just… He leaves me panting for breath, in need of a cold shower and also cautious as he has a dark side no one knows… yet. Jesse brings out another side to him, one George thou

I read the first book in this series Legally Bound back in March. Although I liked the characters and the story line I disliked the way people were referred to and I thought it made it quite choppy to read. This book is completely different in its structure and was a pleasure to read. I was sorry when it came to the end.

Daniel and Rafael are moving on with their D/s relationship and for the most part things are working well for them. One of Daniels limits

This is the second book in the Bound series and continues on from Legally Bound. The main characters from LB, Daniel and Rafael are featured in this book and delves deeper into their new D/s relationship and all the testing waters that can entail, however the main focus now is George aka King and Jesse. It was that tingling temptation of a spark between these two that was touched on at the end of book one that had me itching and yearning for this book. Well, let me tell you I was not disappointe ...more

Breach Of Contract is the second book from J.R. Gray which I have become a fan of after reading Legally Bound. Which brings me to say that before you read this book I highly recommend that you read Legally Bound first. Breach continues with the main characters, Daniel, Rafael, Jesse and George (King).

Ok, with that out of the way let me say that Daniel has decided to allow Raf to convince him to scene in public and take their relationship as Dom/Submissive live. There seems to be a little problem

After reading the first book, I was looking forward to the next one and I was not disappointed. In this story we get to know George and Jesse better as their connection deepens and they accept their undeniable attraction to each other. We also see more of Daniel and Rafael as they deal with their own issues. On top of that there is an element of mystery that keeps you guessing until close to the end. Great follow-up, J.R. Gray!

J.R Gray is trying to kill me! There's no other explanation to this. This series just gets better and better. Amazing intrigue, well researched on ALL fronts, exceptional characters and the flow is flawless! George is just... I want to kidnap him and make him mine... or me his *wink* Seriously, this is a brilliant series. Mystery, sex, intrigue... it has it all really! I am kicking myself for taking so long to fall in love with these books! HIGHLY recommend! ...more

So out of the blue I get contacted by Bare Naked Words asking me if I was interested with reviewing "Breach of Contract", book 2 of the Legally Bound series by Gray. Now, I loved the first book! Not only was I: 1) FLOORED, but 2) over the moon to be getting the opportunity to continue this story! So I dropped a couple of books I was reading and started on this testosterone ride of a book. Now if I thought Daniel and Rafael (the main characters of book 1) were mouth watering and delectable, I got ...more

JR Gray has done it again; He has delivered a phenomenal sequel to ‘Legally Bound’.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I truly enjoyed reading this book. As soon as I received ‘Breach of Contract’ in my inbox I dove right in. I was hooked. Everything else got dropped and forgotten about...including sleep. But it was sooo worth it.

I would suggest however, that you do read ‘Legally Bound’, before starting ‘BOC’ as it is a direct continuation of the s

This review may contain spoilers for LEGALLY BOUND, the first book in J.R. Gray’s Bound series. You could try to read BREACH OF CONTRACT as a standalone, but I wouldn't recommend it.

BREACH OF CONTRACT continues the story begun in LEGALLY BOUND, a book I thoroughly enjoyed earlier this year after following the author on Twitter. (Full disclosure: I follow a ridiculous amount of romance and erotica writer

This is a M/M book. Obviously. I have read several M/M books. Most of them really good. I liked the Legally Bound and was looking forward to this one. I get to revisit the characters, find out more about Jesse and George and boy oh boy did I want to know more about Jesse and George. And here in lies the problem...there are so many guys. I know, it's M/M, so of course there are going to be a lot of men. But there are so many guy names. I had to really concentrate to keep up.

this is probably closer to 4.5 stars because i really liked it much more than the first book.

so in the first book, i really didn't like george until the very end. in this book you get a much deeper dive into all things george. and i will say my mind has totally been changed and i am now a george fan. he and jesse together are perfect. jesse is the only person in these books that has been honest and has 'stood up to him'. george loves that jesse treats him as an equal. george really opens up to j

Last we heard from J.R. Gray with Legally Bound, Daniel and Rafael appeared to have a promising future after Rafael's legal woes. And we were teased unmercifully with the budding relationship of George and Jesse, leaving us wondering will they or won't they? The tension was thick, the connection between all the characters intoxicating and we all were left wanting and begging for more of those intense feelings. I can promise you J.R. Gray hits home and hits it hard, giving us just that and more w ...more

I read this book in one day! George and Jesse are the perfect example of a slow burn and it was great! Jesse is witty and has no filter, which creates some fun reactions from George because he is used to everyone around him being so respectful all the time. My heart did break for Elliot. To be around the person he loves and to want something that won't happen plus his issues with his dad, you wanted to hug him. George definitely displayed how there are different kinds of love when it came to Jes ...more

Is it possible this book was even better than the first??? Yes. it is! As much as I loved Daniel and Rafael's story, I loved George and Jesse even more! Book 2 picks up where book 1 left off. All was resolved for Dan and Raf... and Jesse finally got the balls to leave his wife.... going to George to find shelter since George had offered... It was an unlikely friendship from the start. Jesse was bold and mouthy.. no filters and George found this refreshing. When Jesse feels his oats and decides t ...more

This book is crying for an editor. It's all there, the plot, the characters, the emotions.
I really liked it and simply feel sad that the mistakes in punctuation, pronouns, etc. were not picked up by the beta readers.

This is book two in the Bound Series, and you really must read book one, Legally Bound, first. BUT do not read any one star reviews, please don't!

Unlike most reviewers, I preferred the first book in this series. I definitely enjoyed this read, but I also had some issues.

I found the first 30-40 minutes to be a little awkward and slow. This picked up quickly, however, and I really enjoyed most of the rest of the book. It was great revisiting Daniel and Raf who played a significant role, and the current MCs--the King and Jesse--were wonderful! In addition, the storyline, though somewhat predictable, was also very entertaining.

When the book opens, Daniel and Rafael are in a contracted D/s relationship and Jesse remains living as a guest in George’s home after leaving his wife. Jesse has been seeing his former girlfriend and realizes that it was a complete mistake to start up any kind of relationship with her. He has to come to terms with wanting to act on his feelings with a man for the first time and coming to terms with that man being George.

After the first book, I'm kind of looking forward to Jesse and George, since I adored Jesse persona. While I did enjoy the book, I didn't like it was much as the first one.

Same with the first book, I didn't like the fact that the story captured the story of 2 couples even-though one were out of focus. However, I got used to it eventually. My first problem with the book is the pacing. It was significantly slower than the first book that's for sure. While there were a lot going on here, it

Like anyone who was a fan of Gray's first book, "Legally Bound", I was on pins and needles waiting for the next installment. Not only did "Breach of Contract" not disappoint, but it far surpassed by expectations, which were admittedly quite high. Instead of rehashing the whole book (you should be reading it yourself!), I'm going to focus on my favorite character, Jesse. He's been my fav since book one, so I was thrill to see the focus shift to him and his foray into not only the "freaky stuff", ...more

J.R. Gray is definitely getting his writing groove on with this wonderful 2nd book. I love Jesse! He was so witty, funny, charming, etc. in the 1st book that I was very excited to have him as the main character in the 2nd book. George was a little off putting to me in the 1st book but quickly became endearing in the 2nd book. I loved the chemistry between these two. I loved that Jesse would not put himself in the slave position, but was willing to concede to be a submissive. George, when he gave ...more
I'm still reeling over this book! So freaking good. Jesse and George are the best. The author has a way of planting seeds to pique your interest in the supporting characters just enough so that they play an important enough role but don't take away from the MC's. And then when you finally get their back story you realize how much more there is to them. The give and take between George and Jesse was my favorite aspect of the whole book. George got a little scare there towards the end but I love h ...more
