Black Friday should be all about shopping and discounts, but Sean and Sara get more than they bargained for. When they only have a few more items left to buy, screams fill the mall—and for good reason. A man has fallen to his death from the second level.

But what exactly happened isn’t that straightforward, and normally, Sean and Sara would leave this matter to the police,

'Tis the season, when emotions run almost as high as credit card debt. Black Friday is an experience, one that even those who don't need to shop can't bear to miss.
Sara drags Sean from store to store until screams drown out the carols. A cop can quit the beat, but the instinctual response remains for life. Sara makes a beeline to the scene of the crime.
Looking down upon a man's body, fallen from the Mall's upper level, Sara recognizes the screaming widow. Besides cop instinct, Sara can not turn

As someone screaming brings Sean and Sara running out of the latest store they enter to find someone has fallen over the 2nd floor, as Sara approaches she recognizes a friend of her's from school. This series of books is a nice easy read I wish that it had a bit more suspense/action. In this one it revolved around Christmas shopping on Black Friday which as most people will tell you makes you crazy enough to want to kill someone! Sometimes it's fun to read a book which doesn't require a lot of thought.

I read two of these books back to back while I was on vacation (I will be putting the other one up tomorrow) and both of them were great! Honestly they were even better than I expected.

I started with Shopping is Murder and very quickly and easily got right into it. I loved the two main characters - Sean and Sara they were great! I loved their fun quirkiness. And this was a great little mystery as well.

OK I did not know this at the time, but these books were actually inspired from the old TV seri

"Mystery At The Mall"

This is another great mystery story created by prolific author Carolyn Arnold. In this story it is Black Friday and Sara and Sean McKinley are at the mall getting some Christmas shopping done. It's really crowded and busy but they have most of their shopping done. Suddenly, they hear screaming down on the first level. Sara works her way to the balcony railing and sees a man laying dead on the lower floor. Did he jump from the balcony, or did someone give him a shove? She dis

With Shopping is Murder, Carolyn Arnold has created the sixth instalment of the McKinley Mysteries series. Like its predecessors, this is a very enjoyable read. Sara and Sean did not really want to ‘take over’ a new case, especially if a former friend of Sara’s is involved. Suddenly they find themselves in the middle of their next mystery, aided by their friend Jim. Shopping is Murder is entertaining with a thrill, a fast read, making you yearn to read the next instalments as well.

This was a good book, with a husband and wife being the investigators and working with the local police. A person falls from a upper story in a mall and they investigate it. The ending has a mild twist to it, as the reader is left wondering if it is a crime. I like this author, but I am not sure if I like this duo. The solution she came up with came almost too quickly. Usually, a reader can follow along and come up with the same conclusion, but this suddenly came out of the blue.
