Carlos was a man of his word. He willing sacrificed all he has built in his life for the truth of one woman. He put it all on the line for her. He proved his worth in more ways than one.

I must say that after this first read from Hart. I am anticipating my next read from her. I especially want to read the remaining books in this series. Plainly speaking. I hope to score the set by the end of the week.

This is book 3 in this engaging series the story of Judith and Carlos.

For me this was a romantic read I loved Carlos. He was not afraid to show Judith that he was interested in having a relationship with her and he pursued her full tilt. Judith likes Carlos but because she is hiding from what happened to her in her past she was unable to respond to him the way that she would have liked to.

Judith makes a mistake and because of her fear and trust issues she is not able to tell Carlos what she did and therefore makes Carlos doubts what they shared when he discovers what she has done.

I really enjoyed this story.

Queen of His Heart is book 3 of Lena Hart’s Queen Quartette series, and it was an interesting read. This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed the story-line.

In this segment Judith Bell is living a quiet comfortable life as she heals from a past relationship. She is not looking for love but Carlos Moreno, the security chief at her job, is determine to show Judith he is the man for her. His advances are proving hard to ignore as Judith tries to fight the inevitable. Just when she thinks she can let her guard down, someone knowledgeable of her past blackmails her into leaking company secrets. Carlos is now investigating the crime and wonders if Judith is really the innocent woman he is fast losing his heart to. He has a difficult choice ahead. Will he choose the woman he loves or lose her?

The story-line flowed well and will keep readers turning the pages to find out what happens with Carlos and Judith. The author did a good job displaying Carlos’ feelings towards Judith, from the love he feels to the sense of betrayal he experiences with her. Judith is portrayed as a sweet, quiet woman with secrets and as the secrets unfold, Judith must work to overcome her fear and open her heart to trust Carlos if she wants to ever free herself from past demons. As the two embark on the journey to clear Judith’s name, as well as heal her heart, Carlos is determined to protect her at all cost, even at the risk of his reputation and employment.

Overall, this was a good read and I look forward to reading other works by Ms. Hart.

REVIEW: 3.75 stars---QUEEN OF HIS HEART is the third installment in Lena Hart’s contemporary, adult QUEEN QUARTETTE romance series. This is PA Judith Bell, and security expert Carlos Moreno’s story line. QUEEN OF HIS HEART can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Some of the previous story line characters (David Carrone) play secondary and supporting roles.

Told from dual third person points of view ( Carlos and Judith) QUEEN OF HIS HEART follows Royal Courts Casino security expert Carlos Moreno as he slowly begins a seduction of personal assistant Judith Bell. For weeks Judith has fended off Carlos’s flirting but one moment of weakness finds our heroine agreeing to dinner with the handsome security expert where she works. But a mysterious letter and phone call ‘demanding’ something from Judith in exchange for some personal information finds our heroine going against type, and placing herself and the Casino in danger. What ensues is the search for the person responsible for a security breach at the Casino, and the fall out of Judith’s relationship with Carlos when it is discovered that Judith may be the guilty party.

Judith Bell is on the run; she is in witness protection fearing the release of her ex, and the threats he has made against our leading heroine. Carlos is a security expert, and the man that has stolen Judith’s heart, but a man who believes the woman with whom he has fallen in love has too many secrets, and has told too many lies. The $ex scenes are intimate and seductive. Carlos takes his time getting to know his prey; Judith continues to think about the past, and everything that destroyed her life.

QUEEN OF HIS HEART is a romantic tale about betrayal and deceit; heartbreak and love; secrets and lies. The premise is entertaining; the characters are colorful, real, and animated; the romance is a slow build to a happily ever after-Judith knows that at any time she will have to pick up and run. I would love to read more about Carlo’s brother Tristan.

I had intended to take a break from this series after my review of His Bedpost Queen to read some new books. That was short lived after I purchased Queen of His Heart late one night.

Queen of His Heart follows David Carrone’s assistant, Judith, and his head of security, Carlos.

Let me just state for the record: Carlos is my favorite. Not only was he good looking but he was protective and very supportive. Not to mention I swooned more than a few times when he would whisper Spanish to Judith. Though it happened fast, I respected the fact that he wasn’t afraid to show his true feelings and express himself in ways that they both needed.

This story was by far my favorite. It was the longest, and it had the best storyline of the three. The characters were fleshed out and I liked that we got to see both points of view. While there were times when I felt Carlos was coming on a little too strong or his pick up lines were just TOO corny, Hart balanced it out well.

Judith was comfortable living quite the mundane life as she healed from a volatile relationship. She wasn’t looking for love, but Carlos was determined to show her how much she needed him. He became hard to ignore and she could no longer fight the temptation. Just when Judith thought it was safe, someone from her past blackmails her into leaking company information. She finds herself in a lot of hot water as Carlos has to investigate. He has to ask himself, is Judith really the person he fell in love with?

With Judith’s blackmail, the larger mystery continued in this story. We got a few more clues and some questions were answered, however, it looks like I’ll have to read the next book in this series to get the full picture. I won’t give any parts of that away so you’ll just need to read the book to find out.
Overall, Queen of his Heart was a good read and I look forward to reading other works by Ms. Hart.

This is my first Lena Hart book, but definitely won't be the last - especially considering I am dying to get my hands on the first two books in this Quartette! (Yes this is the third book in a series, but you can definitely read it as a Standalone!).

Carlos Moreno has been trying to woo/court Judith ever since he joined as the Security Chief - but she hasn't really given him the time of the day. But Judith has her own reasons not to be charmed by this charming cocky man - the last time she let that happen, she ended up not only being stalked, but also lost her identity and everything she held dear.

But after a long internal discussion, she decides to take the plunge - and just when that happens, she ends up getting a call that spins her life out of control.

I really loved the writing style of the author, it is simple, elegant and definitely engrossing - once you pick up the book, you definitely can't keep it down. The plot was intricate, and the definitely kept me guessing - but it was also a bit on the cheesy side. everything, including Judith and carlos's relationship, even with the angst was a bit light, but it is definitely worth reading, especially if you are looking for a change of pace - which I definitely knew I was.

This is a book that will warm up your heart - and the fact that the author has done a brilliant job of actually giving us strong secondary characters, just added on to the character of the book!

Definitely a series I would be reading more on!

**** 4.5 Stars ****

This is my first read by this author and it was wonderful. This story was full of suspense trying to figure out if Judith’s ex was going to come after her. Then there was the whole envelope with things inside that made her feel scared, who in the world knew about her past. Then of course there is the sexy Carlos that seems to have the lamest lines but at least at times they would make Judith smile. He was sexy with speaking his Spanish which I loved. But sooner or later she would have to tell Carlos about her past especially because he finds out that she was the person that was in an office trying to upload and download things from the server. She was going to have to tell him so they would be able to have a real relationship. The love they feel for each other is one in a million but communication is a must.

I can’t wait to read the other two books in this series and also the last book that finishes off this series. Ms. Hart has a new fan and will continue to look to see what she writes next. From the moment that I started reading this book I couldn’t put it down because I needed to know what was going to happen between them. The chemistry between these two characters was passionate and sensual. There was this deep connection and I knew that they would find a way to be together. I totally loved the epilogue but I wanted for it to be longer and I wanted to know what happened at the end. I know that no matter what they have their happily ever after.

I totally recommend this read!!

I struggled to really warm to Queen of His Heart though the more I read the better it got. I think perhaps I am just too old for this book, which is ideally suited to twenty somethings.
The plot, while plausible, had some holes in it, which I would have liked resolved. It felt a bit loose all the way through. Things seemed to be set up to happen but didn't and once or twice things happened for no apparent reason, leaving me feeling unbalanced.
I disliked Carlos from the first, though this is probably a personal taste thing more than anything else. I found his regular lapses into Spanish completely unnecessary and given that I had no idea what he was saying, I found most of the Spanish annoying. He did become more likeable as the book progressed, largely because the endless stream of corny lines abated. Judith fared better. Really there was nothing too objectionable about her - she was quite sweet although she really didn't come across as a person who would stand out in a crowd.
The dialogue throughout the book came across as forced and I found it annoying that the author felt it necessary to spell out in detail what each character was feeling. It's so much better when other techniques are used to convey feelings. For example, telling us all the colour drained from a character's face is a much more sophisticated way of suggesting that a character has been given a shock than to tell the reader directly.

Judith Bell is the assistant to the CEO's of Royal Courts. She has been there a short time but loves everything about her job. No one knows she has a horrible secret hidden deep inside.

Carlos Moreno is in charge of the security for the Resort. He has been captivated by Judith's beauty and feels an undeniable pull towards her. She feels it too, just fights it on a daily basis.

Judith's past comes to haunt her and she is forced to engage in a devious act that involves her employer. Carlos is torn between his feelings for Judith and apprehending those involved in the security breach.

Judith's past is quickly unraveling her new life. She finally tells Carlos her past and why she is running. Will he be able to protect her? Will he be able to apprehend the suspects behind the security breach without her involvement?

I absolutely loved how they play off of each other. Lena Hart's characters are both strong and charismatic even though they don't actually view themselves this way. First story of hers that I have read , but definitely not my last.

This is a contemporary Romance . First I have read from this Author . Hero is Carlos . Heroine is Judith .
Carlos is head of Security for a resort . He takes one look at Judith and he fell hard for her . He knows she is his . He can't help it but always say corny one liners to break the ice . Judith doesn't give an inch.
Judith one night gets an envelope with pictures from her past . She is totally shocked and frightened. She also gets a phone call . Once she sees the photos she wonders how did someone know about these . The instructions on the phone was to tell her that they will help her but she needs to do something for them . Once she does those she knows she did somethings wrong . She has no choice but to get Carlos help . Thing is Carlos feels used. Judith needs help from her abusive ex boyfriend. Grab it and see . There are suprises all round ... With the photos ... What she did ... And her ex ...

Judith Bell hasn't had an easy life and with a painful past that haunts to this day. Judith is really attracted to Carlos Moreno head of security. When Judith's past raises it's ugly head sending her into a panic with dire consequences. Carlos doesn't understand Judith's hot and cold signals. Carlos' team investigates a security breach that leads to a mystery woman and Judith. Carlos can't believe he trusted Judith yet he's sure that she's not to blame. Can Carlos prove Judith's innocence? How does Judith's past catch up to her? Your answers await you in Queen of His Heart.

This new to me author created an awesome modern tragic tale with a happy ending. The characters and story were compelling, intriguing, real, honest, and raw. Definitely read more of this author in the future.

Have to say for being the 3rd in a series I loved this connection between Carlos and Judith. When he talks spanish it was like a seduction dance all the way. I felt for Judith and her reluctance to be who she really is because of her fears. Here is a woman who is still afraid yet trying so hard to be independent and work for the life she deserves to have. Lena Hart did a beautiful job in showing us that no matter how hard we try we all need a good, strong, sexy as hell man to be there for us to lean on and loved. Cannot wait for the next one in this series.

I actually haven't read any of the other books in this series, but I have to admit I just went back and bought them.
Once I started reading I couldn't put the book down. This is one of those books you're constantly wondering "who done it" and asking yourself when will the other shoe drop.
The cheesy pickup lines keep you smiling and wondering if you can remember those lines ever being used on you.
No spoiler to be given here =)
But can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series!

Carlos wants Judith badly. He has been trying to get her to go out with him for months but she is always turning him down. Judith has a tragic past that she is trying to keep secret. When it starts to be revealed and she needs his help, he puts it all on the line to keep her safe.

I really enjoyed the characters and the story. It kept my interest and I didn't want to stop reading until the end. I love Carlos and his silly pickup lines. He feels genuine. Judith has tried hard to start over and deserves someone as kind as Carlos.

Omg, this book had me hooked from the very beginning. The story line had the right amount of love, intrigue, sexual chemistry, and betrayal to make it a very good read. The emotional struggles and turmoil added another level of edge of your seat action that read like a TV series. I couldn't help but fall in love with these characters, and will definitely be adding this book to my favorite list!

Book provided by the author

This book is the third in a four part series. I was able to follow the story, as the author provides enough of a backstory, that I could understand what is going on in the book. I believe that reading the whole series will enhance the readers enjoyment, but I don't believe it is absolutely necessary.

This was a truly enjoyable book from start to finish. I loved the suspense and the drama, but I also loved the naked pain and heartbreak that Judith has gone through and still feels in her soul. I loved how Carlos pursues her, but he doesn't scare her away and freak her out with his intensity, but instead, draws her out, coaxes her into trusting him and believe that his intentions are good and that he isn't going to hurt her, either emotionally, or other wise.

In the beginning of the book, Carlos muses that Judith is a gentle spirit and it's true, she really is gentle and delicate. I don't mean that she can't handle stress or is delicate health wise. It was in the way that she presents herself, in her mannerisms, and in the way that she interacts with her co-workers. She's personable, but there is so much more underneath the surface of who she is. I don't think even she realizes how deep she is. At least in the beginning of the book. Judith's character has to go through some painful growing pains to help get her to where she needs to be, and Judith is strong enough to go through those growing pains and get through to the other side. She changes and grows and Carlos is there to help and encourage as best as he can.

Carlos, oh Carlos, what as sweet, funny, sensitive, caring man. I think the one thing that I truly enjoyed about his character was the fact that he told corny jokes and used corny pick-up lines on Judith. I would think that that kind of thing would put Judith off, but the opposite happened. He was charming and funny and the reader wants Judith to give Carlos a chance and see what these two characters will do next. Carlos feels deeply, he emotes his feeling deeply, and he lets himself be vulnerable to hurt and disappointment. His character changes and grows as well, because he has to learn that he needs to communicate his needs, wants, and fears, and not hold it all inside.

These two characters are truly written for one another and they make the reader believe in them and hope that they get together and stay together.

I hope that if this looks like something that interests you, that you give Judith and Carlos a try and enjoy it as much as I did.

I won a copy of this book from the author, I was not required to give a favorable review. This is a beautiful book about a woman, Judith, who had finally felt like she had settled into a normal life after dealing with physical & mental abuse. Five years out and she is working a new job and has a new name, but when she receives an envelope at her job with pictures and instruction she thinks she need to do it to keep the guy that hurt her in jail. Little did she know that it wasn't that. But then the is the sexy head of security, Carlos who is very attracted to her. But she hasn't told them everything about her past. Know with everything that is happening can he help her

Wow! I was simply blown away by this book. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I had never heard of the author, Lena Hart, before I received a link letting me know this might be something I would enjoy reading and reviewing. Boy did I! This book had it all....romance, mystery, hot characters, and just the right amount of danger. Let me give you a quick overview.....

Judith Bell is living a quietly unobtrusive life with her feline companion Prince. She works as a Personal Assistant to the owner of The Royal Courts Casino. She has had a very troubling past involving an abusive relationship and all she wants is to just feel safe and comfortable in her new life. However, the head of security, Carlos Morena, has very different plans for her.

Carlos is an ex-Marine who takes one look at Judith and falls fast and hard for the sexy assistant. He is everything you could want in a leading man. He is sexy, tough, and shares his feelings without hesitation. He also is armed with an arsenal of cheesy pick-up lines. He comes from a very close knit Hispanic family and this theme of closeness is prominent throughout the book.

Carlos finally convinces Judith to give him a shot and then the steamy scenes that ensue were almost enough to fog up my glasses. I was laughing and rooting for this couple from beginning to end. This book did not disappoint by any means. There is a very unpleasant surprise from Judith's past that puts the newly developed relationship between her and Carlos to the test. That is all I am going to say because you need to read it for yourself.

It is important to mention that this is actually book 3 in a series. I actually didn't realize this until about halfway through the book when I glanced at the cover again. It is the Queen's Quartette Series and all 4 books are available for purchase. I am actually buying all the others this weekend and I can't wait!!!

This is not only my first book by Lena Hart but also my first in this series. Even though this is the third book in the series you can read it on its on. Carlos Moreno has been trying to get with Judith ever since he began his job as Chief of Security at Royal Courts. I really enjoyed the humor in Carlos' chase and Judith was so determined to not get caught, so to speak. She did have a very good reason that involves her past but eventually does take a chance. Of course it wouldn't be any good without some suspense and Judith gets blackmailed into doing something she didn't want to.

Carlos was a breath of fresh air. He was open about his feelings and really tried to show Judith just how much he wanted her. That doesn't mean he was weak or a push over because he wasn't. He just wasn't as hard nose as his character could have been . I really enjoyed that because it was a bit different than the obvious alpha man (whom I still love!)

Queen of His Heart by Lena Hart is a continuation of the Queen Quartette series. This time the story focuses on Judith Bell, the administrative assistant to the owners of Casino Royale and the head of security Carlos Moreno. Judith is a woman with an abusive past and wants to keep to herself. Carlos is a man that won’t accept no for an answer, but instead of pressing her, he keeps wooing her with corny jokes, his devastating smile and his Spanish. ;) The two have been dancing around each other for months and Carlos finally senses a break in Judith’s resolve and gets her to agree to a date with him. The story unfolds as Judith receives a mysterious phone call that rocks her to her core and she compromises herself and the company. Once Carlos finds out that Judith is involved in this scheme, he is furious with her, but he also helps her by hiding her away to find the real culprit in this scheme since he realizes that Judith didn’t act alone. During the time she was sequestered, Judith has had time to ponder her feelings for Carlos and comes all the way clean and tells him her reluctance in trusting him. The story is of course predictable, but it was still a good story.

Carlos is head of Security where Judith works. From the first time he met Judith, he is smitten. Judith is doing her job and trying to not make any waves. Carlos stirs something in Judith from their first meeting but she is determined to keep him at arm’s length. Finally, with his corny pick up lines, he wins her over and she agrees to go on a date with him. When she had to compromise her job to protect herself from her past, she has to depend on Carlos to help her, even though he feels betrayed and is angry at her for not coming to him for help first. Burying these emotions, he does everything in his power to keep Judith safe. The story flowed at a steady pace and the characters were well developed. The secondary characters were refreshing, especially Prince, the cat. I loved how Carlos’ family embraced Judith into the family. This story was very poignant and touching with a HEA ending. I would love it if Carlos and Judith pops up in other books in the series.

So I stumbled upon this little gem quite by accident. I realized halfway in that it was third in a series and while there were a couple of loose ends, this could definitely be read as a standalone. Judith works as an administrative asst at a casino in Vegas. The head of security at the casino, Carlos, is sweet con Judith. But Judith has secrets. She gets involved in some messy business that gets her in trouble. Carlos wants to help but feels betrayed. This was a great little romance with some familiar tropes but done so well. A little insta lovey but the author captured the connection and smoking chemistry between Carlos and Judith and you realized that these two belong together. Loved Carlos!! Judith was strong - a little timid but you understand why. When Carlos says "eres mia" I yelled yes, yes!! Really hot smwexy times. So the mystery continues in book 4 but this couple does get an HEA. Plan to go back and read parts 1 and 2.

This was my first book by this author. It was a bit suspenseful, a lot steamy, and a nice afternoon read. Judith is a good girl. She does her job, stays out of trouble, and keeps to herself. Carlos has been hooked on her since he first saw her. He is full of funny flirty come ons and always ready with a smile. While Judith also feels the attraction, she knows she can't act on it and risk exposing her secret. She keeps Carlos at a distance until someone else threatens to expose her. She needs Carlos's help, and he gives it freely not even knowing all that he is getting into. He proves his loyalty over and over until Judith has no choice but to trust him with everything.

I enjoyed the story. It had nice chemistry and some great action toward the end. Also, I really liked the cover.

*ARC received in return for an honest review*
From the moment she came to work at Royal Court, Judith Bell has been the queen of Carlos Moreno's heart. He will use all his charm and all his passion to win her. Judith is a woman in hiding but she's finding it hard to resist him. When the past threatens her new life, Carlos is the only one who can save her. Carlos is a swoon worthy hero and Judith is a very sympathetic heroine in this romantic suspense story. I love that he never walks away, even when he is angry. My only complaint about this book is that we never find out the story behind the attempted theft of company files. We don't even know for sure if the attempt was successful. It's possible there are answers in the next book of the series but I am not sure. I enjoyed the author's writing style and am looking forward to book four of the Queen Quartette.

I love Lena Hart's Books they are always have great character details and are really pantie melting hot. I was excited to get this book to read for a honest review. The cover of the book alone will tell you this book is just going to be great.

Carlos is Chief of Security where Judith works and they both think they are hiding their hots for each other from each other. Judith has been burned BIG time in the past and is on the run from a mean SOB who is in prison. Some major thing happens that has Carlos doubting himself and Judith too.

I am one of those folks who hates to giveaway to much in a review and this book is just so good you really need to read this book. It is part of a series that each book is a book to itself. Romance, Mystery and lots and lots of HEAT! Great Read!

This is book 3 but you would never know, total stand alone. And I have falling in lust with Carlos ! With his cheesy pick up lines, to his sweet sexy accent. And Judith and her trying to make it all work and trying to make it when everything was taken away from her. When you get them two together BOOM! Magic! And I was in love , and I know want to go back and read the other books in the series! Congrats Lena Hart on this rockin book !
