What if the government doesn’t want a cure?
A blinding light in the Southwestern sky changed everything. Nothing worked anymore and all Alexis could do was hope that her boyfriend and fellow scientist Jackson would still head to New Orleans for their week end together.
She couldn’t help thinking the worldwide pockets of viral outbreaks and this were somehow connected. If s

Overall a decent prequel. I did like the plot, but I had a hard time connecting the characters because we had A LOT of people introduced. I really enjoyed Carrie’s story.

I haven’t read that many zombie books, so I can’t really claim to have a lot of experience with the topic. I am however, one of the millions bitten by the “Walking Dead “bug, and I really did like the idea behind the book.

A few minor spelling mistakes. And I would have like a little clearer way of showing who was who

I read an advanced copy for an honest review, that said, I will also purchase a copy because it's that good....E. L. Loraine and Tim Frasier put a new twist on an apocalyptic story. Pathogen is a riveting story and will have you on an emotional roller coaster. I was on the edge of my seat, mad and even laughing through this story. Alexis is a scientist who wants to cure the "evils" created in labs by a rogue government. Jackson is a scientist from Texas, who happens to be her boyfriend, who has ...more

I was given a copy of Pathogen by E.L. Loraine for an honest review...
E.L. Loraine writes many different types of books. Pathogen surprised me because I didn't think that she would write a type of book like this.
Pathogen is a zombie story, but it has a love story behind it. There is my new favorite word - FUBB.
A blinding light has been seen over the Southwest. Alexis was on the road going to visit her boyfriend Jackson. At first she has no idea what happened, but ends up figuring it out.

Pathogen reminded me of the movie "The Day After". It was horrifyingly real and made something that we don't want to think too hard about come to life.

This book has everything, science, politics, love, loss and so much more. I was moved by many of the scenes and quite surprised at how fast the problems seemed to pile up for our hero.

Many times we try to push reality to the side and hold onto the faith that something bad may or may not happen or be a possibility. Pathogen shoves that theory our o

Pathogen is a unique mix of ebola breakdown and zombie apocalypse. I give it a 3.5 stars as I liked it...maybe even really liked it. I'll give it credit for keeping me interested to the end despite a few flaws here and there.

There are some really rushed parts with attacks, actions, decisions, even some of the sex that seems to happen way too quickly. It was a bit jarring. Overall, the book is fairly well edited, but not without a number of minor typos and missing/wrong words.

It's defintely wor

What perfect timing for this book with all the Ebola craziness going on! Props to timing this story perfectly :)

Pathogen is a great one of a kind zombie book with the Ebola twist on top of it. I dived right into this book until I finished. You will for sure want more.

Zombies and hot sex is always a great combination to me with lots of emotions all around. It's a roller coaster of emotions. I truly wish the next one was out, lol. I'll be keeping up on these authors for sure.

this was an awesome new twist on a zombie appocolypse! I loved this new twist and how not all the zombies are the same norm. some are enhanced, super humans. And the love story in between wasn't overbearing on the rest of the story. I cannot ait to read what these two authors write next! ...more

Great start to new kind of zombie

Fast paced read. Characters well developed and the plot is good.
Author gives new highlight how monsters are created. Almost zombie like. And everyone is infected different ways.
Great start for new series for me to read.

( I was given this as a gift for an honest review. )
I will start out with, read this to find out what FUBB is!! You will love it. I seriously had to make myself stop reading and sleep. Sleep is important, really. This is a fast paced, draw you into the story read. Different take on apocalyptic, virus turned bad genre. The characters, well, the good guys you will love, bad ones, you will wish awful things to happen to them. And sometimes bad things are so very good! I have already bought the 2nd

It was OK. There could have been a lot more explanation of what was going on, but this was also just a prequel to the main novel, so my issues may be resolved there. I wasn't blown away, but it wasn't bad either. ...more

This is going to be a great full length novel. If you are into the detailed weapons and biological end of all as you know it, this is a read for you.

I enjoyed reading this book. It sets up a great storyline for the series. The only flaw I found is that it's too short. 74 pages!? I received it free, no review required. ...more
