I have very mixed feelings about this book. 1st, I'm so relieved to find it after having done carnivore and intermitted fasting for about 2 years. It just wasn't working. This gave me an eating plan that should be helpful for this next season of life. All that should earn it 5 stars.
But, as per normal, their writing style makes me want to commit murder. The bullets at the end of each chapter are the only reason I made it through. I'm going to have to make my own short-hand notebook that includes the information I need. I don't want to keep flipping through this massive book to find one piece of information.
I was disappointed by the push for hormone replacement therapy. I really don't want to do that and was surprised at the push they made for it. It started to feel like the vain striving after youth. I'm going to get wrinkles. How much time a day do I want to spend trying to fight it.
I also found the last few chapters to be super overwhelming. Maybe I'm just not that high maintenance, but I want more time for reading, not more and more time for healthcare.
I'm going to take what I can from this book and set my own goals for the next decade, but I think preserving youthful vigor isn't it.
Also, I did not read every page in this book. I thumbed through the last 400 pages or so.

Whew…I feel like I should have a medical degree after reading this book!
It took a long time to plod through and I want to go back and re read portions again for reference.
I love the information in this book. It was helpful and I think I can find at least five areas that I planning on working into daily routines to help me moving forward.
All that being said, I struggle with the amount of fluff I have to work through to get all the information.
Like if maybe a few pages could have been left on the editing floor I would have appreciated it. But the weight of the book makes sure you start your weight training right away so that is good!😝
Good information just be ready to commit to reading this for quite a while!
