A bit disappointed in this one, which is really a surprise seeing that I’ve enjoyed pretty much all her other books. The story itself along with the issues that Byron has with McKenzie seems so far fetched. If he truly thought she ruined his brother why not just burn her attempts at starting over? He had the power to make it happen.

So, she closed her company starts a new one. She gets the phone call even if she does take the meeting without all the info she had so much more to bargain with. She

Byron and Mckenzie story was Nice!! Yeah just nice. It deliver was promised. I wanted to see a cold, unfeeling, Byron but I got someone else. Not sure who but he wasn't the hard person that was led to be. Book had a lot of mistakes. Names were mixed. It was like someone was in hurry to just write down what came to their mind and never looked at the writing. This was the 3rd book in the series and I haven't an idea how old the brothers are!! Kinda confusing.

It's been awhile since I read book #2, even though I had book 3 downloaded I was reading other things. I forgot how good this series is. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

After readings books one and two, this one was disappointing. It ended too soon with underlying storylines incomplete. The prologue for book four does not appear to finish this story.

I would recommend this book just to follow the series.

The three brothers have closed their hearts to love from childhood until now. One is married and learning how to love with his whole heart and to trust. The women have all been through rough times in their life whether it's due to family problems or to have their hearts broken by men. A must read to learn that the walls can come down and hoe to open your heart to love and to learn how to trust a partner. Melody Anne is a very talented writer and knows how to make you feel a part of their lives. ...more

The story in itself was good. I think this is the first time with Melody Anne that I was looking for more. Something was missing.

Another one

Another great book from this author, Mckenzie finally found a man that she could trust, and Byron let himself be happy, all they needed was the right one.

This is book three in the Forbidden Series

What can I say... the woman knows how to write and am never disappointed. Another wonderful instalment to an exciting series. Byron Knight is as smug and arrogant as it gets until he meets McKenzie Beaumont who is a successful, secretive, introverted businesswoman that he's both angry and intrigued by after one kiss. They are both broken individuals who find themselves within each other but can't seem to trust their feelings enough to truly give more. How they get to a place of acceptance is a h ...more

Melody Anne has a way with complicated storylines. And this series has had plenty of that with Blake's story. But, Byron and McKenzie have surpassed that level. These two have a lot of issues individually and together. I have to admit that this one wasn't my favorite. I didn't feel a strong connection to the characters, at least, not as much as Blake and Jewell. But, that didn't make the story any less interesting. McKenzie's past was horrible, and it shed a whole new light on her. I did feel li ...more

Great read

Love the chemistry between McKenzie and Byron. Hilarious how they fight there feelings towards each other to protect themselves from exactly the same reason without knowing it. Bill is such a character a great asset to the story his ability to get through the tough exterior of the brothers is uncanny. Nice to see that Blake and Jewel are getting along so well. Nathan was a jerk of epic proportions it would have been nice to see Byron take him down a peg or two. Heads up the epilogue is

Sometimes perceptions can be misleading

The Forbidden Series continues with the second Knight brother, Byron, who is a cynic regarding true relationships. He feels that McKenzie Beaumont ruined his brother and is determined to find out what she is up to.

Getting involved with McKenzie has Byron confused about his feelings. McKenzie has been hurt so many times so she doesn't trust anyone and tries to maintain the attitude that she doesn't need anyone -- until she gets involved with Byron Knight. Th

This was an amazing story as all of Melody Anne's books are. This is McKenzie and Byrons story. McKenzie had a rough childhood. She was determined to never trust anyone again. Byron always vowed to never be like his father. He swore he would never fall in love and become weak. He is out for revenge on McKenzie. He wants to ruin her life like he believes she did with his brother Blake. If you want to know what happens with them you will need to go out and buy this book. If you haven't read any of ...more

I've found MacKenzie an intriguing character since the first book, got a few glimpse of her in book two, and finally this book came out.

On the surface, MacKenzie seems like the cold calculated owner of relinquish control; beneath it hides a person who gives, loves, who is loyal and never gives up. Among the brothers, I like Byron a bit more than Blake though at times I really want to just smack some sense in him. Love the bantering and chemistry between Mac and Byron, and I also love that this b

Best book so far in the series. We finally get to see why McKenzie is so cold and closed off. Byron is a much nicer character than his brother Blake but no less alpha for it. Great to see love wins in the end for these two people who were determined never to love. The sex scenes are fewer than in the pervious two books but the story is quicker moving than BIake's and Jewell's. My only issues were couple of editing blips, the wrong brother was said to be speaking (Blake when it should have been B ...more

Pleasant Surprise

There are some authors that you know will not disappoint you and Melody Anne is one of those for me. I'm going to admit I was pleasantly surprised, I really was not sure there was any way I could like McKenzie Beaumont, but Melody Anne did it, she made me like her. Byron Knight took some to like too but then so did his brother, Blake. It's that whole bad boy that has another side he doesn't even know he has, plus the heroine that has a tortured past she trying to overcome, that

As with all of Melody Anne's books this one was also great. I don't want to give anything away but this center on McKenzie Beaumont and Byron Knight. Byron wants to hurt McKenzie the way he thinks she hurt Blake. They are friends but Byron wants revenge. He hires McKenzie to do an accounting job at Knight. While they are working he starts to break down her defenses and gets into her life. This book does contain sex scenes so it may not be for everyone. The story line is great

A really good read, but a bit rushed and a tad anticlimactic. I knew the heat between Byron and Mackenzie was going to cause them to combust when they finally came together. I was not disappointed. I really would have liked justice or retribution for what Mackenzie suffered to have happened in some way. I also would have liked Byron's revaluation of being in love to have been slower and more in depth. Other than that I truly enjoyed this installment.

Am really enjoying this series. At times I wanted to smack Byron but he had issues and his hotness made up for his arrogance. I liked McKenzie a lot she was sensitive and guarded but still strong despite her hurt. In this book we get appearances by some of my favourite characters from previous books which I love in Melody's writing style. She write family and friendship storyline so well that you can't help but become attached to her characters. I loved Bill a lot. Looking forward to Burned.

Betrayed by Melody Anne

This is the third in the series about the Knight brothers. I loved Byron and McKenzie’s story. They are two people who have a lot of hurt in their past and it’s hard for them to trust. The chemistry between these two was clearly evident in the story. I loved how we were able to check up on Blake and Jewell and see what they were up to. Also having a sneak peak at the Anderson’s. Another great read!

Not her best, but a good read

I've read all of MA's books and love them. This is the first that was a little disappointing. I found it to have a lot of repetition in the story, and other parts where I kept waiting for McKenzie to fill in more blanks about her past in more detail. Her personal relationships or lack thereof. This felt more like a tennis match and then the book suddenly stopped. Still looking forward to book four, and more Anderson's and Storms!

Anger is sometimes a good start for love

Melody Anne once again took us on another romantic journey. The characters are beautifully flawed, defensive, suspicious, and undeniably attracted to reach other. The series of four books are so worth the read. Grab a glass of wine, and enough snacks to sustain. Turn off your phone and fall in love.

Melody Anne does not disappoint in this novel. She keeps you hanging on and brings out lots of emotions from the reader. I enjoyed how she brought back characters from her other books to fit into the story. You really felt for Mckenzie and how Byron treated her. If you loved the first 2 novels of this series, you will love this one and am anxiously awaiting the story of Tyler.

What a great story. Byron and McKenzie finally having their happily ever after. It was nice to read the journey they both took to finally admit to themselves and each other of their love. A must read. Cant wait until Tyler's story is released so i can continue to read more about the Knight brothers.

I love all of Melody Anne's series. This one is no different. It was good to finally learn McKenzie story and to see her fall in love with the very hard Byron. Funny how so much of what happens in our lives are shaped by things that happened with our parents or early childhood. Good it... Can't wait for next one already preordered.

I would have given it five stars but it ended too abruptly with unanswered questions. I know there is another sequel but the dropped storyline was part of this story and needed to be included with this couple. Mainly, I'm referring to - what happened with Nathan? Did he get away with no consequences?
