So this was super underwhelming.

I'm just gonna throw that out there.

In the first book, Vincente was this mysterious, sexy, badass.

Like Chuck Norris badass.

Only...good looking.

And wearing a long leather coat.

In this book, I expected him to kick some ass and take some names.

But what we did get instead?

Vincente came off like a whiner with no spine.

You are a fucking mafia underboss, homie!!

Buck the fuck up!

In fact, ALL of you are supposed to be mafia or MC club BADASSES.

After the nicely executed tease we got in the end of A Love of Vengeance, I was more than ready to get my hands on this couple's story. The immediate attraction and lust they felt was scorching. I was so gobsmacked by how much I loved this book! Vicente is like the ultimate in protective tough guy, the ultimate loyal sidekick, and supremely sexy in the sack. Nika is a fantastic character...a blend of vulnerable and tough, and her story is believable and cringeworthy.

Abused emotionally and physically by her husband, Nika feels stuck in her situation due to the video footage he has of her brother killing a man. As her husband's controlling and irrational behavior seems to esc

***5 sweet "Reaper" stars from me***

You are probably wondering how the hell is possible a Reaper to be kind and sweet, right???
Yeah, i confirm that it is possible, especially if you have met Vincente "The Reaper" Moretti...

That guy was the kindest and sweetest man ever...
Yeah, i know that he is the underboss of mafia, but still...
Believe me, from outside maybe he seemed cruel and capable for everything (that was for the nickname), but deep down inside he had suffered many cruel things himself

In the second book of Wanted Men series we get to hear Vincente and Nika's story.

4.5 Underboss Loving Stars

I knew 10% into this book was going to love mafia underboss Vincente "The Reaper" Romani. When we were introduced to him in A Love of Vengeance he came off as the total bad-ass he is and I think I was already half in love with him. Regardless of his callous comments to Nika during their fist encounter in A Love of Vengeance, Nika is drawn to Vincente and cannot get him out of her thoughts and at times it's only

I loved book one so much that despite reviews of this one blasting it for pushing away I still needed to read it. I am so very glad I did. It spans over a few weeks time. The actual love story where they are together is like 3 days. Lots of trauma, action, suspense and so many things that yes would cause some hesitancy for these two to be able to make it work. I actually understand and love Vincent for wanting to protect Nika. I didn't feel like it was too much. And wow did that man grovel. Love ...more

Nika is married to the man of her nightmares but in order to save her brother Caleb, she has to take whatever Kevin, her husband dishes out. When Nika finally has the means to make her move, she takes it but Caleb and the sexy Vincente find out the hard way what Nika had to endure in the last year. The hero was too wishy washy, he seemed to find any reason he could to run from the heroine, who actually would have had good reason to be afraid of a relationship. The story was still pretty good though.
5 My Favourite So Far Stars!

My honest thoughts whilst reading this book were -

I am sure it comes as no big surprise I am a massive fan of all mafia related books and this fantastic series in particular. So, it goes without saying that I was incredibly excited to receive an ARC of this book.

When I originally read A Love of Vengeance I was shocked to learn that it was Haviland's debut novel and once again, I find myself shocked that she has managed surpass all my expectations and deliver a boo

The first 30% made me cry crocodile tears. The h is heavily beaten by her husband and it's quite graphic. The love between siblings also made me cry. The OTT possessive and protective alpha worked for me to some degree. No cheating or love triangle.

Don't be fooled by the mc and mafia shelves, coz this book only scratched the surface of the letter M. Mafiosos and bikers included, act like they are all though and badass, when in reality they are bunch of sissies who notice how well decorated the h

I couldn’t quite bring myself to give this read a full 4-star rating, simply because it would be unfair to all my actual 4-star-reads.

What this story starts with:

Nancy Haviland is a good author I will be fixing on my radar, she can write great action and suspense-filled stories. I loved seeing Gabriel and Eva from book one, and I loved even more that there were some small sections with Gabriel’s POV.
This author for sure knows how to create a sizzling plot paired with just the right p

I'm unsure if this is a 3.5 or a 4 star read for me. I just can't decide where I'm landing. On the one hand I really loved the characters and the writing is great and fun. I love Nika, she was a strong female lead that had recently been to rock bottom and was trying her best to pick up the pieces of her life and not let anyone decide her future for her anymore. I rooted for her, after everything she went through I wanted her to get whatever happy ending she wanted. On the other hand, there is Vi ...more

A great sequel to the series, it did not disappoint in my expectations. I was glued from the start, like while reading the first book in the series. Love the whole idea of the brotherhood, it reminds me somehow of BDB series but without all the bites. Love all the characters and cannot wait to read other books in the series.

As in book one, the author continues to overwrite, giving too much and/or too detailed info that's not pertinent to the storyline. Long, tedious read!!!!

The storyline elements surrounding the nut job ex husband & all the resulting emotional and physical turmoil were all well done. The plot points in this area are dangerous, make good sense, and have a plausible cleanup.

Unlike book one, however, I didn't like the star players here. He was selfish and thought that physical protection made em

Another winner

I am such a loser. I try I really do to listen to the audible version. Then I get itchy and I can't just listen on the way to and from work, I have to see what is going to happen and I break down and read it.

I have to say at first I wanted to choke Nika. I couldn't believe her stupidity, but things worked out. I know the story got her and V together slow, but it fit what was going on within the story so I had no heart burn. V was hot and sexy. His self hate got annoying at times.

Since starting this series, I've been intrigued by each of the characters that make up this crew. Each member has a history that's hinted at enough to make the reader want to delve into their story. In the case of Vincente, his scene with Nika in A Love of Vengeance guaranteed I'd be reading this.

Nika's experiences were darker than I expected and Vin's behaviour sweeter than his image portrayed and although understandably so owing to their pasts, both characters were closed off with one another

After a hundred or so “OH MY GOD” moments, a few beers, two cans of Spaghettios and no sleep, I have finished this book and I can’t think of a word good enough to encompass what all I’m feeling.

First and foremost, I need to stress that this book may contain some triggers for people. There is a healthy dose of violence and domestic violence littered throughout this book, so if these are issues for you, do not read this book. You have been warned.

Five stars is nowhere near enough. I can't even describe how deeply hooked I am by these books. I read the first book and absolutely couldn't wait to get my hands on this one! When I was given the chance to check out an advance copy from Net Galley, I literally wanted to jump up and down. The story did not disappoint. Nika and Vincente were favorites of mine from book one. In this story, we get a glimpse inside Nika's life with her husband, Kevin. It is unbelievably horrific. She has begun to se ...more
When I was given the opportunity to read this story through NetGalley from the publisher/author for an honest review, I immediately read the first book (as this is the 2nd in the series). Each book is about a different character within the same world. Although this could be read as a standalone, I strongly suggest you read the first book about Gabriel/Eva. Not only is it excellent, it gives you a great introduction to this family and sets up Vincente and Nika's characters. I can't recommend this ...more

The Salvation of Vengeance is book 2 in the Wanted Men Series and its Vincente and Nika's story. I'm really enjoying the characters in this series and I'm looking forward to more. Now the problem I'm having especially with this one is the romance. It was lacking in book 1 too but I felt since it was book 1 and there was a lot of world building it was ok. Now for book 2 Vincente spent the entire book denying his feelings for Nika that it just became frustrating and hard to care about the HEA. I k ...more

I'm generally not a fan of stories that involve MC clubs, but this book surprised me. I actually enjoyed it!

Nika and Vincente are great characters. They come with serious baggage, and each of them is broken in their own way. Nika's life with her abusive husband, Kevin, is beyond horrific. I actually cried a couple of times (a little more than a couple). I have to admit though, when I read it, I was worried that it would be a book with cheating spouses! I don't like boo

Vincente's girl isn't a wam-bam-thank-you-ma'am she likes to make sure her man has stamina, " this 'one time' is an late-night thing, right?" Openmouthed, dry tongue laving, "or are we done?" Nika that girl has to coax guns out of her man's hands but it comes with a warning, " I will use it on any man that comes anywhere near you. I swear to god." Her man knows how to show appreciation for his girl's new tattoo, "it is beautifully foul. Holy s***. I think that's the sexiest effing thing I've eve
