I DON'T THINK I'LL EVER GET ENOUGH GIDEON AND EVA! WHERE IS THE SIXTH STAR?; FIVE ARE NOT ENOUGH!

I've written a good number of reviews for Amazon as well as for publishers and authors directly, and I can honestly say that no other romance series has impressed or affected me as deeply as Sylvia Day's CROSSFIRE SERIES. With thousands of reviews already written for the four books and sets currently available in the series, I will address a few points here which are outside the usual synopsis/review

The first book in the series was intriguing, the second was ok, but with Book 3 and 4 it was straight downhill. It's a shame the series continued because it became almost contemptible. Never have I been so relieved to finish a book as I was with Captured by You (Book 4) - and never has a book been skimmed with such speed! I was also surprised to be finished, because I was expecting something to happen and it never did. It just ended with another pointless, childish argument that arose from very ...more

Similar to 50 Shades but much better written and plot! It is hard not to fall in love with Gideon Cross and Eva. Love her passion for him but still demands equality!

I'd Stop the World and Melt With You - Crossfire

Bared to You (Crossfire, Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
Eva and Gideon's saga begins and so far the tumultuous two have led us on a rollercoaster ride that I am sure will only get crazier. Eva is beautiful brainy but hides away dark pain from from a terrible trauma. All these things make up the woman she is and the choices she makes for her life. On what she hopes is a path to recovery she tries tries to avoid triggers and pattern behaviors detrimental t

A well written angsty book

This series was recommended to me by several people and this is a review of books 1-4 of this series. I will be honest and say this is not my usual trope; I'm more of an angst free book lover. The amount of angst in this series is unbelievable. I had a hard time with that but at the same time I admired the writing ability of the author. This story focuses on the relationships of people who have been sexually assaulted at a young age and the long-lasting effects to them

I enjoyed these books so much, I went back months later (I was missing Gideon) and listened to the whole series (1-5) on Audible.
From the moment Ava and Gideon meet it is white, scorching HOT! Ava can't help but be insecure (her man is a god!) and their 'accuse/explain/forgive/make up sessions' are 'O' so awesome!
Just thinking about them is giving me the urgh to download the books again! Mmmphm!

Fantastic books and a great author

Want to read a book or books with a great story of two people fighting their way to find love, family and a lot of baggage they have to over come. Well here is your chance. I had never read anything of Sylvia Day's my Niece shared her books with me, so very glad she did. I recommend these books with a 5 Star rating

Great love story and more

If you can get beyond the extremely intense sex scenes, the story itself is what pulls you in. Can two people with so much baggage find love and put all of their pasts behind them to keep it?

Loved this series as the Author was able to get me engaged with the characters and to feel for them. Also liked the humour and sensuality of the work and the "oh, so steamy sex".

Unable to put them down

The way Sylvia writes about Gideon and Eva draws me in and I become so invested in them that I can hardly put stop reading!

Love the author. I have read this couple of times. Kinda like the Fifty Shades of Grey books only have its differences. Definitely a good read for those that enjoyed Fifty Shades of Grey.

Yes, I finally jumped on the Gideon/Eva bandwagon and I have mixed feelings. Here's the thing, when you read a series, you are invested and pay attention to the details. What I didn't care for was the redundancy regarding Cary's orgy, Gideon's definition of Crossfire etc... We know these events/definitions so IMO, it was a waste of words.

With the loose ends with Corrine, Cary/Trey/Tat, Elizabeth, Christopher, and Anne & Terry Lucas, it wasn't necessary to add it to the storyline. It was all

LOL THESE SYLVIA DAY BOOKS ARE LIKE SOMEONE READ FIFTY SHADES OF GREY AND DECIDED CHRISTIAN GREY NEEDED TO BE WORSE.

CHRISTIAN GREY IS A SHITTY HUMAN BEING IN ALMOST EVERY IMAGINABLE WAY, ALTHOUGH HE HAS NEVER MURDERED A HUMAN BEING IN COLD BLOOD. SYLVIA DAY'S FIFTY SHADES KNOCKOFF DEALS WITH THIS PROBLEM BY MAKING THE HERO A FUCKING MURDERER AS WELL AS AN ENTHUSIASTIC AMATEUR RAPIST.

I CAN'T DENY IT'S KIND OF HILARIOUS. THE RUSSIAN MAFIA HAVE JUST SHOWN UP FOR NO REASON AND I'M PRETTY SURE OUR DU

I thought this Crossfire series was pretty good: sexy, sensual and with an interesting story line. I read many comment saying that this was bad: they're both fucked up, it's repetitive and there are some very strange expressions, which made me doubt about reading it. However when I started I actually couldn't put the book down. Some parts are crude yes, it's erotica... what do you expect? The writing is, to my opinion, not as good as it could be but you get used to it, the story is interesting e ...more

Well where do I even start with Eva and Gideon's romance... Well firstly the story is hot hot hot... Although that being said for me I would have liked slightly less sex and more story line, although if Gideon were real I wouldn't blame anyone for not getting much talking done...

The story is full of twists and turns. I found myself getting frustrated with both of them at times...
But they bring out the best in each other and I can't wait for the 5th book...

Because there's 4 books in this set it i

Outstanding books! I am not sure what else to say the books just take you to a new place of two amazing people and their lives in a troubled relationship but come out swinging. Gideon and Eva just show how much they love each other and still fight through their troubles. Outstanding job Sylvia on the last book, I can not and I say that again CAN NOT wait to read more of their lives. I just have to ask when is the next book coming. Lol
Love them all read them is all I say to everyone that want to

Contemporary erotica. Not something I really thought I needed to read, but I followed my experience with romance novels and ordered the boxed set. I'm glad I did... the books seem to end in the middle of a thought. Not sure if that's a publishers choice or one by the author, but in both books 1 and 2, I didn't feel that we'd reached a resolution of any kind. So I was ok with continuing. And yes, its escapism, and yes it's explicit, and it's more than a little weird that all of this is bounded by ...more

Actual Rating: 4.5 Stars

The Crossfire series by Sylvia Day captured my attention with the depth of emotions Gideon and Eva suffered/rejoiced through, and with the complexity of the plot in each book. Now, I know…it has been compared to 50 Shades time and time again. I will admit that the basic idea of an overprotective rich businessman and his youngish girlfriend is similar. But to me, that’s where the similarity ends. The Crossfire books are more focused on the romance between Eva and Gideon, a

I loved loved this series...the characters, the story line, and the drama of Gideon's dark past along with Eva's past. I think it is better that Fifty Shades by far. I must say until Fifty Shades came out........ I had not read this type of Romance novel before thinking they were all rather silly. However, I got hooked on the Crossfire series. I am now hard pressed to find anything comparable to these books. It's rather disappointing but it is what it is.

The Crossfire series by Sylvia Day is most probably the most fascinating series I've ever read! It had no boring moments, it kept me on the edge of my seat, begging for more, 4 books in 4 nights and still I couldn't get enough! It was well written, with great characters having different but somehow similar personalities, they irritated you, made you laugh and touched you! I can't wait for the fifth and unfortunately final book!

The 5 book Crossfire series was passionate, emotional and oh so sexy! Gideon and Eva's chemistry was through the roof!! While some installments were better than others, I found the series as a whole to be highly addictive and well worth the read! I am almost saddened knowing that One With You is the final installment to the series, but this is a set I will definitely reread in the future!

Not enough stars

There are not enough stars to rate this book series. 5 stars just isn't enough. I fell in love with Gideon Cross just as much as I did Christian Grey. If you even have one doubt about reading the series...DON'T!!!! It's AMAZING.

I absolutely love this series and I love Sylvia Day. Everything she writes is HOT. Gideon is a handsome, sexy alpha male, and Eva is a strong, independent woman. This couple is wonderful, and Ms. Day writes them well.

Love this Book

Cannot wait for book five!! I love that Gideon is trying to be a better person for her. Love that they are communicating more. I loved this book especially because it centered on both Eva and Gideon's POV.
