What's the first thought that would run through your mind if you woke up, completely naked, strapped to an operating table, sans a kidney? What ran through Nora Daniels mind was that, sadly, nobody would even notice she was missing. No family, no friends, not even a boyfriend. No, there would be no Prince Charming busting down the door to save the day or loved ones to mour ...more

I really dislike having to give negative reviews for books, especially if I received said book for review but my overal feeling for The Donor was that is just wasn't my cup of tea, unfortunately.

The book started out good for me because it was all wrapped in mystery with Nora waking up on an operating table, not knowing what was going on and I love a good mystery but from there on out I started getting less and less interested with the story and the characters. The writing also couldn't hold my a
I picked up this book at Sci-Fi on the Rock in St. John's in 2017, and had a great chat with the author.

I very much enjoyed The Donor. It is a fast-paced, exciting story that took some interesting twists and turns, some of which were a big surprise! The characters were interesting and you feel a connection to them and want to know what will happen next. I don't feel the need to go over the plot, but as I read I wanted to continue the story, seeing it to the end.

But at the same time, the story i

Honestly I wasn't impressed. The story was cliched in every way and the big secret was revealed almost immediately. There was no suspense, no interesting turn and nothing that made it even remotely worth suggesting to anyone else.

To avoid giving too much away The main character Nora wakes up strapped to a table in pain. She gets away, meets a guy, has a bunch of dreams, has a 'hard' decision Mary sues the heck out of it, then it's badda bing badda boom done and you have no feeling of satisfactio

Look at the cover! Is it not scary and makes you wonder what is The Donor about? Although the synopsis was what made me take the book for a read and review, the cover I believe will draw attention too.

Nora Daniels was barely awake when she realized that she was facing a threat of being snuffed without a trace. But she got out alive thanks to someone with a conscience. But her life turns complicated when the doctor she looked after dropped bombshell after bombshell.

Nora and Henry are the only two

Despite the three-star rating I gave this book, I absolutely love the storyline. For me, the storyline receives a five star rating; however, I would have loved to have seen more in-depth detail of the characters and the future world they live in so for that reason I had to give it a lower rating.

Some of the storyline is very predictable. I would have loved to have seen more mystery about the characters before fully revealing everyone's connections. However, there is a twist in the story that wa

Nora Daniels woke up on an operating table, fully nude, and based on the conversation she overheard, missing a kidney. Nora realized no one was going to save her from these butchers and she had to make her own escape. Nora also realized she had no one in this world – no family, no friends, no one who would miss her. Before Nora can escape, she is released by one of her captors, but this leads to more questions than answers. THE DONOR is an interesting blend of science fiction, mystery, and roman ...more
