I was given this ARC for an honest review.
I give this book 5 stars and this is why. I love how this author gives a different spin on the whole North Pole and Santa theme. The Elves weren't your normal cute, loving elves. These were hard working with personality and one in particular had a rough character. This story was a darker book and I just really got into it. From the moment I started this book until the very end. I fell in love with the strong female elf character Marie. Clarence finds Ma

The Unknown Elf is an elf tale - about mystery at the North Pole. Marie, found in a snow drift, has a mysterious background which everyone is trying to learn about. But can Santa learn about Marie's background before the strange breakends at elf outposts come all the way to the North Pole?

Overall the book is good - an interesting idea and a unique take on the whole North Pole land. But the writing tends to jump around and is hard to follow at times. If you like Elves and Christmas, this is a goo

A really unique Christmas story. Not your regular elves - these are working a 9-5 job preparing for Christmas. A bit darker than your normal Christmas story with hints of even darker things in Marie's story but a Christmas story nevertheless.
Recommended to everyone (yes, even children)

This book was great!
The characters are so cute.
Even grumpy little Clarence was cute, in his own grumpy way.

I had a lot of fun writing this book. I guess you could say that Disney's The Santa Clause was a bit of a prompt and inspiration for the rough draft. Actually, this story started to take shape a year or so after that movie came into being.

I'd always played with the idea of Santa and his elves, but it wasn't until The Santa Clause came out that I really thought about how I'd like my version of the North Pole to be. The story came as a sort of daydream while I was riding the bus to school. I think

It's not this book is badly-written, but sadly I found it confusing and boring and depressing and too dark and so on...

Karlie Lucas is a dreamer, reader, and helpless romantic with a soft spot for female lead characters.

The third of eight children, Karlie often felt "lost" in the mix and promised herself that things would not stay that way, for herself or her characters.

"Each of my characters tend to 'feel lost' in one way or another. The real struggle, for them, is overcoming that and realizing they are of worth.
