Lucy Maud Montgomery knew it. World renown author of "Anne Of Green Gables" has influenced the lives of millions of people around the globe. Linda Stewart knows it and shares it with her beautiful gift of expression. This brief glimpse into life here on Prince Edward Island is very familiar and much valued by me. "A Different Kind of Life" is a beautiful tale of Jon Andrews, a harried university professor from Montreal who leaves his good job behind in the big city to start a quiet life in rural Prince Edward Island. While living in PEI, Jon befriends many local residents. The author's descriptions of the scenic pastoral landscape of the PEI are phenomenal, as is the overall story itself. I highly recommend "A Different Kind of Life" to anyone who seeks a light, easy-to-read story.
