Carla Methon has tread on a lot of toes, men’s and women’s alike. But no one could be more dissatisfied with Carla than the lady herself. With a compunction to throw herself at every man within a three mile radius and a serious case of foot in mouth disease, Carla knows she is in desperate need of being taken in hand before she does any more damage to her reputation.

I was hesitant to start this book, knowing Carla's backstory. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Carla's backstory is more than what we've seen in the previous books. Yes, she's been a harpy and yes, she's caused major problems for couples. In this book, we see her vulerablility and her shame.

In walks Kieran, a total newbie to the world of spanking. When he figuratively walks in on his brother spanking his wife, Kieran

If you have read any of the other Corbin’s Bend books you are familiar with Carla Methon. Carla is back and this time she will surprise you. Kieran O’Brien just had his heart broken and decides to go and spend the summer with his brother, who we have also met before Jim and his wife Angie. Kieran has no idea what Corbin’s Bend is about and when he does find out, he isn’t too sure how he feels about it. However,

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

In series one we met Jim and Ange, who escaped for a shaming court case to Corbin's Bend, where the community embraced their lifestyle. Now Jim's brother, Kieran has decided to pay them a visit - and extended visit. How will he react to the spanking community, how will he fit in?

Carla, who caused Ange so much trouble when they arrived, is still in CB, even after her problems with Cadence and Marcus ... but she is trying

Carla Methon had a bad reputation in Corbin's Bend for causing trouble and with so many different people and households. She had stir up so much trouble that she even began to feel like an outcast. Kieran O’Brien is the brother to Jim O'Brien, he has had a bad break up in Ireland and decides to come visit Jim and Ange in Corbin's Bend. Not knowing that Corbin's Bend is a spanking community and he is totally vanilla, he is in for a surprise! Carla and Kieran meet and hit it off. This story covers ...more

Carla finally gets what she deserves … a happy ending! His Forever Summer gives Corbin’s Bend fans a chance to get to know the real Carla and to find out why she has been such a troublemaker in the past. It may have slipped my mind about her previous marriage but even so the details regarding its demise were so sad. It makes it easier to understand why she tried so hard to cling to what she saw as a good man (e.g, Jim and Marcus). It’s also what makes her decision to friend-zone Kieran not only ...more

Tara Finnegan's first Corbin's Bend Exile to Unity is one of my favourites of the series so far. It's an excellent read albeit one that had me sobbing in the bath. But you know, in a good way. It was cathartic. His Forever Summer introduces us to Jim-from-the-first-book's brother Kieran O'Brien who has invited himself to stay with his brother's family for a few months, blissfully unaware of the spankiness of the Colorado community. He meets Carla who has appeared in numerous previous books, less ...more

For an author to write a book where one of the main character’s has been a strongly hated character in prior books, that takes some massive guts! When I started reading this book and realized that it was about Carla, I was totally disappointed! I didn’t want her to have her story yet; I was perfectly happy remaining upset with her for a few more seasons of Corbin’s Bend.

But also for an author to write a book about a character that people have such strong feelings for, and make the reader fall in

The O'Brien's from Tara Finnegan's book Exile To Unity are back. Jim receives an em from his brother Kieran letting them know that he is coming to Corbin's Bend for a 3 month breather after breaking up with his fiancée. The next door neighbor just happens to be Carla. You remember Carla don't ya - the pain in the butt(no pun intended) young woman who pounces on every new male who comes into town. Kieran is unaware of the type of community Corbin's Bend is and comes home and sees Jim spanking

Ahh, the second season of Corben’s Bend continues. In this story we are reacquainted with Ange and her husband Jim. Jim’s brother, Kiera has invited himself to visit for 3 months. Kieran knows nothing about the community they live in and does not know that his brother and sister-in-law practice domestic discipline. Kieran meets Carla, the man-hungry girl from previous stories. But, we learn that there is more to Carla than meets the eye. We find out about her past marriage and how that has ...more

Ok, first of all, who didn’t want to see “bad girl” Carla get some comeuppance after season 1 of Corbin’s Bend?

I adored Carla in this story. It was so easy to see her as misunderstood and totally in need of a partner to help her stay in check.
She desired a spanking relationship- No, she NEEDED it.

She desperately wanted someone to help her, and see her as worthy of spanking.

And she got that in Kieran. A vanilla from the start, the man oozed dominant sex appeal, but seemed to be oblivious to the

Getting to know a character, Carol, in a completely different light, has been oh so right and oh so raunchy!!

Kieran, coming off a bad breakup in Ireland, decides to move in with his brother, Jim, and sister-in-law, Ange, for the summer. Not knowing the premise of Corbin’s Bend prior to his moving makes for a very interesting summer….
Completely disliking Carol from previous books in the series, His Forever Summer has changed this. Falling in love with her, feeling her pain and knowing her

I could not turn the pages fast enough with this book. I loved every second of this spanking romance. The characters were thoroughly entertaining. Kieran was a smoking hot vanilla turned a delicious chocolate. I loved being taken into Carla's head and seeing her sensitive side. This was a compelling story that had it all. Hot spankings, spicy sex, tender romance, laughs, and beautiful resolution. Tara Finnegan has earned herself a spot on my favorite authors list!
Enjoyable continuation of the Corbin's Bend series. Carla has been a minor character in a couple other books so it was nice to see her more fully developed in this book. Kieran is a new character but he is related to Jim and Ang from Exile to Unity (season 1).

Good story and a fun quick read.

Kiernan comes for a visit without a whole lot of permission and no clue what goes on in Corbin's Bend. Carla wants to do better. They quickly become friends and she starts to help him understand what Corbin's Bend is all about. It was fun to see Keirnan move from not interested to embracing the life. A lot of fun.

The accidental writer, that’s me!

A lot of writers will tell you that they dreamed of being a writer for years and were making up stories from they were knee high to a grasshopper. And a lot of them loved English class.

I dodged all forms of essay homework (not even bothering to look for an original or plausible excuse) and entertained myself and by poor desk mate during my English classes by very
