Hitchhiking is a bad idea but Caden is desperate.
When she accepts a ride from the first car to come by she meets Gabriel. He's her age, hot, and the closest thing she has to a savior. Problem is, he is a total jerk. With nowhere to go, Caden convinces Gabriel to let her stay with him for one night. He reluctantly lends a couch.

That night Caden wakes up to stra

YES! Really enjoyed this book so excited for the next book like THAT CLIFFHANGER THOUGH!!

***Was sent this book by the author, E.V. Fairfall in exchange for an honest review***
(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to author E.V. Fairfall.)

This was quite a strange story about a boy with two different identities, and the girl who tried to figure out what was going on.

I felt quite sorry for Rebecca/Cade, especially because things were so bad that she felt the need to change her name and run away from her abusive ex-boyfriend. Hitchhiking, and then staying at a strangers house could have caused h

An intriguing story that really keeps the reader guessing. While not quite a mystery we get a peculiar situation that demands answers from us as spectators.

Rebecca is a teen girl recently abandoned by her abusive boyfriend. So, starting in the first chapter, she decides to call herself Caden. Hitching a ride with a boy named Gabriel, she goes to his condo and starts to live with him in return for cooking/cleaning.

Caden only feels comfortable wearing black, an estranged rel

I loved her first book and debut novel Transformed. I loved it so much. I feel bad because it took me so long to get the review up. One word LIFE. This word is a killer when you get very busy doing things. Anyways this book was amazing. I can't tell you how much I loved it. I thought her first book was great. This book was way much better on so many levels. Not that her first book wasn't amazing. But this just like rose to my expectations. I mean I had high expectations already but wow. I couldn ...more

Its...Its...Its so beautiful!

Thank you Miss Fairfall for giving me the chance to read this magnificent book of yours!

I love every bit of it; how its so down to earth and its simplicity was what made this book memorable to me.

This book revolves around a teenage boy with multiple personality disorder and how a teenage girl, who loves the one and care for the other, try and make two into one. This story is also much about Caden finding her true self; will she be Rebecca or

Oh maaaan this book.... I'm in love!

The story started right away, and it is very gripping from the start. The subject is interesting, and the events just kept rolling. Not one second of boredom. The plan was to read this as a buddy read, but once I started, I couldn't put it down. And before I knew it, I had reached the end.

We start off by meeting Rebecca, abandoned on a bridge under the rain by her abusive ex-bf Sean. After playing with the idea of just jumping off the bridge, she

I enjoyed this book so much that I had to stay up until 1 in the morning to finish it yesterday! The story line is so different and unique from anything that I have ever read before. You don't see many things coming so it keeps you on your toes, especially the cliffhanger at the end really makes you want to jump to the second book right away! So you follow Caden (formally known as Rebecca) who has just got out of a really bad relationship and her boyfriend just left her. Caden couldn't go back t ...more

E.V. sent me a copy of her book for an honest review of it so here I go...

Summary of book- Read the description on the GR Sleeping Tom page. ;) Sorry (not sorry).

Ending of book/Spoiler- After lots of fights, crazy moments, realization of love, and such, Gabriel and Tom's shifts switch. So I guess Gabe (Can I call him Gabe?) now has Tom's nightshift and Tom is a little boy during the daytime. Wow, that did catch me off guard, sorta.

Alright, now for my random spouting off of my love for this book- Alright,

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.

In all honesty it took me a while to get into this book. I wasn't a fan of the poor life choices the main protagonist was making right off the bat. I began to realize that was because I've read too many of those "pixie tough chick" books lately. There are many women in this world that think like Caden and subject themselves to these kinds of situations. I began to read this book as more of a factual a

My Video Review:

This wonderful contemporary YA read explores identity: those identities that we choose and those that we're forced into. When Rachael flees an abusive relationship, she decides to remake herself as a stronger woman, someone named Caden.

With no other recourse Caden decides to hitchhike to escape her situation. She is picked up by a reluctant young man named Gabriel. He begrudgingly agrees to let Caden spend the night in his apartment. However, in the middle o

Fantastic book that kept me wanting to keep turning the page. This is one of my fav books so far this year and i highly recommend it.
I loved how we saw caden gain confidence and how the story unfolded.

Despite giving it 4 stars this is probably one of the most interesting book I've read this year.

Rebecca who changed her name to Caden after what happened with her ex meets Gabriel after hitch hikingride with him. Gabriel is nasty to her but when night comes he's a different person. But as she spends more time between Gabriel/Tom, she knows something is up plus she's starting to have feelings for Gabriel.

I felt for Caden's situation. What with her family and her ex. I hate

Guys! This is so good!!

This book went in a slightly different direction than I thought it would. That's good. Most YA books have become a bit too predictable these days. I thought this would be more paranormal. Either way it was great.

Caden was a bit difficult for me to identify with. She just got out of an abusive relationship and is struggling to figure out who she is and where she belongs. She has nowhere to go, which is why she ends up hitchhiking and accepting a ride and a couch to s

I am happy to say I really enjoyed this book! It was so intriguing and different from anything I have ever read. The characters, while super irritating at times made totally sense for this story. I especially enjoyed that Gabriel and Tom, even though the same guy, had such contrasting personalities. While Gabriel was a jerk most of the time, Tom was really childlike. Something else I really enjoyed about this story is how confused you are about where the story was actually going

I really liked Sleeping Tom, it was really different to anything I've read before. Rebecca/Cade was an interesting character - I felt sorry for her, she seemed to have been through a lot with her ex and with her family, but she was quite brave to do some of the things she does! This is probably the most intriguing, unique, and interesting book that I've read in awhile. I was conflicted at first but after I started getting more into the book, I honestly could not put it down. I somehow could relate to some of the characters, they were very unpredictable and very interesting. I love everything about this book. Hopefully, there will be a next book because I can't wait to read more.

Definitely recommending it to my friends.

Sleeping Tom is made all the more intriguing by the fact that E V Fairfall explores the idea of multiple personalities, without crossing the line between reality and the paranormal.
At first, Caden assumes that Tom is another person, living with Gabriel, who she needs to rescue. In researching the subject further, she realizes that Tom is just a compartmentalized area of Gabriel's psyche, who, as a result of trauma or abuse has retained his childlike qualities.

E. V Fairfall has done it again! I have been lucky enough to receive an ARC of Sleeping Tom from her, and I have to say I loved it! This book drew me in from the very beginning, not to mention it has an amazing cover as well.
This book was such a great concept, it is always interesting to read stories about people with multiple personalities, this is the third one that I have read, and by far my favorite one. E. V Fairfall was able to write such a simplistic story, but it grabs you in.

When I was contacted by the author to read and review "Sleeping Tom," I'll admit I was a little hesitant at first. I read E.V. Fairfall's other book "Transformed" as well. Because "Transformed" was so good, I decided to give this one a try. "Sleeping Tom" was AMAZING. For the first few days I had the book, all I did was read. The vivid details and excellent story line made way for a very interesting read. The characters were developed quite nicely and every turn they came to keeps you on your fe ...more

This story had me sucked in from the start. I sympathized with Caden's situation and understood her desperation and ultimately her reason for hitchhiking. (Crazy girl!! lol) But I love how her depression and desperation turn to love and selflessness when she meets Tom, and eventually (view spoiler)

Thank you E.V. Fairfall for the opportunity to read this book. This was a strange NA read. I thought the story was good, but didn't grip me as much as other books have. Full Review at: What's Beyond Forks?

The two main characters both have some emotional issues going on that have hindered their lives. Rebecca/Caden is at a point where she is finding herself, and she's using a name change to do it.

Gabriel and Tom are opposite ends of the spectrum packed into one person. Both personas are drawn to Caden for different reasons, and Caden is drawn to both of them right back. I love a story with a good psychological aspect to it. I'm really looking forward to the

I loved this so much!
I found Caden so relatable, and I loved how the characters were dealing with things that seem dramatic, but really so many teenagers go through them. Unhealthy relationships, neglectful parents, identity issues, and so on, and I love that E.V. didn't try to minimize the impact of those problems, or cast them as "boy problems" or "rebellious phase" cliches. It was very real and genuine, and I appreciate that portrayal so much.

Sleeping Tom is an amazing read, I was captivated from the start of the book. I usually read paranormal or fantasy books so this book seemed very real to me, but in a very good way. I could definitely relate to the struggles the characters went through. I thought it was a very interesting concept to explore a character who had multiple personalities, it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. As unpredictable as its characters, Sleeping Tom is a unique and compelling story that had me chasing the rabbit down the hole instantly (and up until sunrise). I love books that expand your mind and have you thinking What would I do? Sleeping Tom delivers on both fronts. If you liked Stolen A Letter to My Captor by Lucy Christopher, be sure you don't miss out on this complex tale.
