At the end of the last installment, we get a bomb dropped about Rhys. He’s not all who he appears to be. He is so much more. Violet has been through an intense few months. With Rhys, her attack, her pending divorce. It is just too much. She needs to get a way for a short while. So she does. And while she’s there, she gets to know Rhys better, without all the physical distractions. She gets to make her own choices with a clear head.
I loved getting to see Rhys’s past. Why he is the way he is. We get introduced to a character I loathed even more than Violet’s ex. One of the best things about this installment is the dual pov. Getting in Rhys’s head was a real treat.
Even with Violet and Rhys’s relationship changing and evolving, they still have that magnetic attraction and that intense sexual relationship.
Like I’ve said in my previous reviews, I love that this series is insanely hot, but there is also a great story. With each installment we get more and more. The writing is fantastic and I think both characters are so lovable. That ending... gah! I wouldn’t call it a cliffhanger, but another bomb was dropped and I didn’t see this coming. Not at all. I can’t wait until the final installment to watch all the pieces fall together and see how Violet and Rhys’s journey ends!

This series continues to hold my attention. Each short serial is packed full of drama. They're the perfect length for passing an hour or so when you need to pass a little time.
In this third serial, Vi and Rhys recover from one shocking secret, only to dive headfirst into another. A lot of time is spent with these two playing house, settling into their relationship roles and getting to know each other beyond the bedroom. Everything seems to be going along nicely.
Then, Rhys's crazy ex-girlfriend decides to reappear. While Rhys is content to send her on her way and be rid of her once and for all, she's not going away so easily. When Vi comes face to face with her own ex, things come to a head. Once again, Rhys's honesty is called into question and their relationship is again up in the air.
Overall, I thought this was a great story. I love these short serials that can be read in a single setting. Ending on a cliffhanger, this book has me headed straight for the final book.

I'm still finding this series to be an extremely hot and enjoyable read. I keep crossing my fingers that it will not take a turn for the worse and so far I've not been disappointed.
This book is all about Rhys and Violet getting to know each other. At first it was all about the sex. Violet was looking to explore her sexuality and Rhys was looking for someone to satisfy his needs as a Dom. They ended up getting a lot more than they bargained for.
Violet decided to take a trip to the Cayman Islands alone to clear her head. She and Rhys keep in constant communication through phone calls. They are opening up to each other more. I don't want to say too much so that the story isn't ruined for anyone who hasn't read it yet. I will say, I kind of wish she had stayed home and tried to communicate with Rhys face to face. I get that she put some distance between them because they can't seem to keep their hands off of each other when they are in the same room. I was missing the secret sexy rendezvous. I was in need of some code RED encounters.
Once Violet finally realizes that she can't stay away from Rhys any longer and is back in Savannah, I finally got some RHYS RED!!! And I was again fanning myself. He can go from super loving and affectionate Rhys to extremely scary, but mouth wateringly sexy Dominant Rhys in an instant.
Just as it seems everything is going smoothly for them, we get a surprise at the end. Coincidentally there is someone they both know who I am thinking is going to cause some angst for our two main characters.

The truth will set you free. That is how things begin in The Last Dance. Violet knows about Bryce now and seeing as how he is the mini to the man she is falling for, it is easy for Violet to fall for Bryce too.
Violet has left Rhys, she isn’t leaving leaving, just taking a break. She decides to go away for a week and goes to Grand Cayman to clear her head and reset. A lot of things have changed for Violet in a short time: her loveless marriage has come to an end, she is starting back working, and has found a man she doesn’t know how she could ever live without.
Rhys is left waiting for Violet to come back. After her accident and almost losing her, he knows he doesn’t want to waste anymore time without her. Left at home we get to see a different side to Rhys, we get to see him as a father. I loved seeing this. We have seen him as the business owner, the dominating man and asshole, but I have to say my favorite is seeing him as a father.
I also liked how Ms. Chase used this installment to tell us more about Rhys’s past. We get an understanding of how he became the man he is today. It also sets us up for what’s to come.
So this whole review I have talked about how sweet Rhys is, what a great father he is, no fear he is still the same dominating man we fell in love with. Rhys may be sweet, but he is still the same man just more open with his feelings.
I have loved this series, every time I see my arc show up I get so excited to see what happens next. This one does end with your mouth hanging open, it isn’t a huge cliffy but you know something big is about to happen. I seriously cannot wait to read the finale. I highly recommend this series if you haven’t started it yet!

At the conclusion of The Tango, Rhys and Vi were once again put to the endurance test. Individually they are both strong and yet, their weaknesses continue to hold them back from finding peace in one another. In order to come to terms with the twists and turns transpiring, Vi takes a trip away to gather her thoughts and feelings.
RHYS: Hi.
VIOLET: Hi RHYS: I can’t stop thinking about you.
VIOLET: I was sure you would have your number changed.
RHYS: Don’t regret telling me how you feel. VIOLET: Right now I don’t trust how I feel.
RHYS: I’m calling you.
While Violet is away, she and Rhys have the chance to talk and actually start to get to know each other. Imagine the idea of being with someone sexually but not actually knowing their favorite color! These two lovers may have had success in the bedroom but during these moments apart it is almost as if they are meeting for the first time.
"Just come back to me!"-Rhys
After much trepidation, Vi decides to return home to Rhys. She knows that he has her heart. Despite all of the turmoil they have been through, she knows he is her home.
"I looked up at him with everything in me and said the words that had been on the tip of my tongue that I could no longer keep inside. “I love you.”-Violet
"I had something to walk toward. And for the first time in my life, I hoped I’d be enough for a woman."-Rhys
Although the lovers dance seems to be coming to a dramatic "HEA finish", trouble slams into them again! With each installment Ms. Chase builds the conflict and reminds us that a lovers dance never ends. The twists, turns, and dips continue to shake things up!
Overall, The Last Dance was a gripping addition to the series because the driving conflict crescendos to deafening levels for our sweet lovers. Rhys and Violet are trying to find their way together while Violet's ex husband and lover enter the scene to shake their resolve. Everything is chaotic and yet, Rhys and Vi seem to have found peace in the storm. Or have they? Now on to the conclusion. I hear the curtains are beginning to close!

4 jaw dropping-cliffhanger stars
Last Dance can be interpreted in many ways, but in this it's actually the mark of a new beginning. Goodbye to the old and a welcoming of new.
Rhys and Vi have a lot to work through, but when they are together they are unstoppable; considering Vi doesn't run away again. She has her reasons to go and Rhys understands that, doesn't mean he has to like it though. Through text messages and daily conversations they hit rewind and get to know each other on the more basic level. Both navigating in uncharted territories, they need to find a balance with their everyday life and their more insatiable needs. Just when they get over one bump another is right on it's heals, not even allowing Vi to enjoy her once in a life time command of her Master.
Last Dance is the calm before the storm, or so I thought, what started out to be sexually sweet and erotic ended with such a bang. Lucky for me I only had a few days to wait till I got my hands on the final book, because I needed it, BAD. Just when I think nothing else can go wrong, I am proven wrong. This was wonderful written to build up to what I hope to be an even greater finale.

I thought in the last volume I was finally getting the story I craved from this series but I found myself still needing more to the point I'm starting to think there's something wrong with me because everyone else appears to be enjoying this series to epic proportions but that's the beauty of reading we don't all glean the same from the page. To me it felt like there’s a lot of back and forth and many time lapses. I didn’t feel his dominant qualities as much as I desired and sadly the story didn't develop in the manner I originally expected.
This series up to this point still very much concentrates on the physical aspect of their relationship and I needed more drama, more angst to truly feel their characters, their connection and their relationship… I needed something to make me care more.
Equally the great draw on this book is the explosively erotic sex… Their attraction to each other is undeniable….. And the end of this volume is the best climax so far for the series and left me still wanting to get to the last book.

“The Last Dance” is the third installment in Angelica Chase’s series “Sexual Awakenings” and like its predecessors, it picks up right where the last installment ends.
Violet knows Rhys’s secret now. She feels she doesn’t know the man she loves and she needs to clear her head, so she takes a trip alone to Grand Cayman. Rhys knows he made a mistake not telling Violet about Bryce and he truly regrets his decision. He also knows the connection between them is strong, something they both know is worth taking the risk for. If in the past he didn’t get attached to any woman, now he feels lost without Violet. But now he's not the only one who needs her, Bryce needs her as well.

Despite the fact Rhys lied to her, Violet can’t stay away. She feels drawn to him more than ever and their attraction is off the charts.
I enjoyed this installment more than the first and the second, maybe because despite the short length of the book, both Rhys and Violet are more developed. I truly enjoyed the dual POV. This time I liked more to be in Rhys's head. He's a sexy Dom, but he’s also a sweet and caring man not only with Violet, but with Bryce too. I liked how he is with his son. He clearly is a great father. Loved his filthy mouth.
The attraction between Rhys and Violet is fantastic and the sex scenes are insanely hot.
Overall, a great read!

5 Romantic yet Erotic Stars!
The Last Dance is bar far my favorite installment of the Sexual Awakenings series. We finally get the love story between Rhys and Violet. The series started out with Vi looking for sexual exploration, bored and lonely with a cheating husband. Rhys, owner of The Rabbit Hole sex club, offers her this experience...and it was hot hot hot. But we never really got the character development, the dating part. Here, we do...Vi has escaped to Caymen for a break from life, and their phone dating begins. I LOVED their conversations and texts. If I didn't love Rhys before, getting to know him personally clinched it for me. His stories about his
Then Vi returns and we get it ALL. The physical AND emotional connection between these two. It's erotic and refreshing. Both characters have made mistakes and have some trust issues but I love their maturity through it all. No games...they just want each other. Imperfections and all. We also get dual POVs and being in Rhys' head was perfection! It's a perfect love story...
Moving on to the final installment. I don't want it to end!

The hits keep coming
I've been sucked in and thoroughly engrossed in this series. The characters are a messed up bunch and poor Violet seems to be cursed. I hate to say it Vi, it's not the bloody stairs that are cursed, it's you. How many times is this woman going to be bashed over the head with another revelation.
Of course, the hits (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) aren't always bad. Onwards...

The Last Dance is about contemplation, acceptance, and balance – a process in which one quickly makes about a dance partner; however, the stakes are much higher between Rhys and Violet and their union doesn’t end when the music stops. In this book, part 3 of the series, Violet and Rhys agree to return to the basics in order really build a solid foundation for their future. During this time, Violet reflects upon her mistakes and reaches a clear decision as to where she wants to be in her life.
Rhys knows exactly what he wants, but he knows that Violet must come to him on her own. Rhys is Violet’s match in every way and he is so willing to give himself to her and only her. As Rhys and Violet start their lives together, there is a shocking revelation that may just shatter their newly built foundation. I must say I wasn’t expecting it at all! How is this going to impact Rhys and Violet??
In part 3, the plot continues to build with outstanding character development and unexpected twists! I am immediately moving on to the final part 4, Curtains.

Holy Cliff-Bomb Drop! DID NOT SEE THAT COMING.....

If you've not started this series, I highly recommend you do! This third installment picks up from the last with Vi deciding a break is needed to figure out if what she has with Rhys is love, lust or what. So she heads south sans Rhys but with the mutual agreement that they start dating each other.

Ms. Chase continued to burn up the pages with the sexual heat and desire between Vi and Rhys
as well as giving us the added treat of Rhys' POV. I really loved hearing his thoughts and getting a chance to understand him better.
Just like Vi, we start to see Rhys falling for Vi as the both of them begin seeing a future together. Of course, this one ends with an interesting and rather significant twist at the end. I want more! Can't wait for the final installment and how this will all end.

We were left with quite a shocking revelation at the end of Tango and we get to see Rhys suffer from the same fate that Violet lived through during Tango. But we also get Rhys POV throughout this installment. As Rhys and Violet attempt to move past their prior omissions one thing is clear. She has fallen for the man that was going to guide her through her sexual awakening and that same man can’t seem to get enough of her.
I loved the dual POV in this installment. I knew that after the reveal at part two, why it wasn’t yet possible to see what was going through Rhys head... but now that I got a glimpse. I was in love. I think one thing that really stood out for me so far in this series is that although they move fairly quickly and she is just divorcing her husband, it didn’t feel instant at all. Sure she recognizes she’s falling for him and Rhys is a little slower to voice his feelings, but he does a fine job of showing them... something about it all just seemed perfectly paced.
These two share perfect chemistry and Angelica Chase does a fantastic job showcasing that chemistry and tension as she creates this story. The ending. Fuck. I was expecting a bang and got an explosion instead.

This novella is a scorcher The cliffhanger on her makes you immediately go to AMAZON and buy the last installment which at 4am seemed to be the best idea ive ever had.
The last dance I think of it as the last dance to their old lives and a new dance to their new ones. And I want a man like Rhys to text me like he texts V. This is their dating book. And in this book we get to HATE ALEX and the Devil!!!

This third book wasn't as erotic as it was emotional. Both Rhys and Vi are finding themselves in new places in their life and making these changes fit into their relationship, which they are still struggling to define. Rhys tones down his dominant side , and Vi learns to stand on her own two feet. There are some seriously sexy scene. Not the conventional type of sexy, where its flat out a sex scene. I mean sensual. The mirror scene when they're on the phone is mouth watering and perfect. The scene at the end where roles are reversed is jaw dropping and expertly weaves both characters' true personalities and emotions. It was a non-reversal reversal of roles best explained if you read the book.
I love this series and as much as I don't want it to end, I can't wait to start on Curtains, the last one.

After all Vi have gone through in part II of this book, she decided to take a vacation away from Rhys and everyone to gather her thoughts. While on vacation the communication between Vi and Rhys continues and discovers more about themselves. It's like getting-to-know-you stage of a relationship. On this part of the series, the author gave us a glimpse of Rhys' past that explains why he do things, the way he do. I absolutely love this part III not only the character are well developed, but the scenes between Rhys and Vi are hot, hot, hot! I just can't put it down without fanning myself. Part IV here I come!!!

She wants Rhys, both his Jekyll and Hyde and he would stop at nothing to make Violet's every desire, pleasure, and wish come true.
I started off slow as I was taught, The Waltz. A little give and take, something to test the hard and soft limits.
When we moved on, The Tango, I tested her hard limits. She seemed to have none, which shocked me. I was sure at times I would hear the word stop pass her lips.
Their relationship was such an exciting rush to experience. No more secrets and no more lies, no matter how small. They were both invested in this, and I was rooting for them the whole entire time.
I learned so much more about Rhys, his feelings for The Rabbit Hole, and his determination to rid himself completely of a certain someone from his past.
An affair of the heart was not what I had been after, but it's what I ended up with, and I wouldn't change a second.
What I found so thrilling was at first Violet wasn't looking for anything romantic, she set out to indulge herself in her every fantasy and whim, but in the end had found an amazing man who would walk around the world and back for her, but also had a dirty kinky side as well. I loved that Rhys was a walking contradiction. I loved his gentle, compassionate, vulnerable side. And I also loved his kinky, erotic, dirty RED side. There were so many layers that made up Rhys, and getting to discover them was such a rush and made me love this fictional man even more.
Caring for a woman was easy for me. I had always cared for different women for different reasons.
Loving a woman had always been quite a bit harder.
But you know what they say, everything happens in threes.
The story line was yet again fantastic. More twists and turns, some self discovery, and a nice shocking cliffhanger thrown in that left me with my mouth hung open and desperate to be starting book 4. I mean, really really desperate. Sadly, I can't right away due to mommy duties but as soon as I get a chance, my fat ass will be planted on a chair and indulging myself whole heartily.
I highly recommend this series so far, it has been such an amazing, rollar coaster of a read and I relished in every single moment of it. Just when I thought I had a handle on their relationship and the way things were going, BAM, hit again with another shocker. I don't want to spoil it, and I won't say much because I want you all to read it, but it's a juicy one! I am hooked with this Sexual Awakenings series and will definitely be re reading it in the future, abso-friggin-lutely!!!

We jump right into this part treated with Rhys's POV. Still suffering from the huuuuuge reveal in The Tango, Rhys steers us through his turbulent emotions, which are quite a new experience for him.
Violet feels the need to escape reality, whilst the previous chapter in her life comes to a permanent close. Her future hangs in the balance, and she needs to regroup.
This part evoked big emotions from me, especially with the direction of the storyline, what they had been through and where their future may reside. With the added inclusion of Rhys's thoughts and feels, I was squashed alongside them, desperately rooting for their HEA.
Rhys has become super dreamy; his masterly manner has had its edges softened.
As I am becoming aware, Angelica is good at dropping quite a cliffy, and not only that, truly unexpected within the storyline. The end of this is no exception to that, and quite the development.
I'm loving this series and am jumping straight into the last course!

Oh my fucking God. I seriously didn't think Ms Chase could write any hotter but she totally surpassed herself with this book!! The sex didn't just sizzle, it exploded with the power of an atom bomb! And so did I ;-)
Rhys and Violet's relationship has hit the honesty level and they are learning more about each other. Violet is discovering more about what she likes and expects from Rhys. He is being the ultimate Dom in the way he is pushing her tolerance levels higher and higher.
Just when you think you can sit back and enjoy their coupling (in more ways than one) BOOM!! The cliffhanger of all cliffhanger endings!! You just know!!

Stunned. I am stunned. This part went a little differently than how I imagined, but still it turned out amazing.
Vi keeps on surprising me and Rhys keeps on shocking me.
I wish Rhys could confess his love and finally pour out his feelings to Vi.
I love Violet's mum, she makes me smile all the way while reading.
What the hell happened at the end though? Never saw that coming!!!!
