THIS BOOK HAS EVERYTHING. You would not know that this book was Karen Frances' debut novel. I love reading new authors, and I love even more when their story captivates you so that you can’t put the book down. This book did not disappoint.

Libby Stewart has a heart of gold. When her family really needed her, she was there without hesitation in any way that was needed. At her brother’s absolute time of need, she is the rock on which he depends. This unfortunately leads to Libby’s boyfriend ending

For me, this story took a little while to get going. I wasn’t sure about the author’s writing style. However, as the story progressed, I really got into and the story turned into something quite exciting and unexpected!

Elizabeth/Libby is part of a close family. Her twin brother, Ethan, is still coming to grips with losing his wife and becoming a father, on the same night. Libby and their parents have been his crutch and Libby has made a difficult decision to force him to become more dependent, b

Libby lives a life that involves working and her very close family.

This is the first book I read from this author. The begining of this book started off slow. I couldn't quite figure out where it was going at first the family dynamic was different almost strained and yet her primary reason for leaving her home was to help her brother reconnect with his baby daughter after a family tragedy. But then once Libby moved to the hotel excitement started to build.

I think I wanted to dislike Alex from the beginning just because of the way he treated Sally. I work in a

I really enjoyed this book. The author has outstanding writing skills, you can really connect with the characters and feel their emotions as they experience them. It's full of emotional turmoil, happiness and confusion. What will Libby do? You'll have to read this wonderful story and find out. I look forward to reading more from this author. I would recommend this to all romance lovers.

Really enjoyable read. it started of a little slow but the author did a good job at picking up the pace and keeping it steady.

I liked the characters a lot though I felt like Alex came on a bit too strong for my taste but he's a hard guy not to love. Libby on the other hand I loved her from the start. I cannot wait to see where their relationship will go and how they'll handle the storm that seems to be heading their way.

Well, so far it's a good story. I like the main characters. The storyline is well thought out. I'm interested in reading the next book to see where the story goes.

I received this book for my honest review.

This is the first by this author that I have read. I am always looking for new authors to read and am glad that I got this one. I read this in one sitting. It had me captured from the start with the prologue.

I didn't quite understand what was happening in the prologue but glad that I continued on. This is a love story. Libby is ready to start her life for herself. Ready to run the hotel for her dad. She has been holding back because of her family and h

It is a long time since I have read a book by an indie author where I have been this impressed with the writing. The author has written a book which is based in Scotland, yet it reads almost like it could be set absolutely anywhere. She hasn't gone down the route of making it overly Scottish and I loved that.

The storyline is extremely well done. There is a brilliant balance between romance, sex, our amazing Scottish countryside, and a bit of tension thrown in for good measure. There are a few po

He’s Captured My Heart is Karen Francis’ debut novel. Simply put, the book is superb. Ms. Francis has woven a beautiful love story filled with suspense and intrigue. Her characters are written well-rounded and with great detail. As I was reading, I felt like I was living the story through Libby and Alex. Libby has taken over the management at the family hotel. She is young, focused, and determined to prove to naysayers that she has what it takes to run this b
Oh my goodness!

This novel is so amazing that it took my breath away!

I expected it to be good, great even! But He’s Captured my Heart is one of best written and best developed stories I’ve read in a while!!

The story is mesmerizing, while the characters are simply, without a doubt captivating!

And to top it all? Alex and Libby are not exactly adorable..How could we call them? Perfect match? Other halves? Can’t imagine to have them apart?..Well, something like that..

Alex is a complicated man, to say

This is a lovely story that paints vivid pictures in my mind about the scenery where this takes place in Scotland. Truth be told, I'd very much like to stay at Libby's family hotel overlooking Loch Lomond!

Alex is not a likable character in the beginning, so much so...that I was beginning to have my doubts if I could enjoy the book when I first started reading. As his redeeming qualities come through, you are persuaded to give him a chance. Libby is a strong woman and I really like finding stron

You know that moment when you can't stop reading, but it’s 3 am and you have to get some sleep but as soon as you wake up you can't stop thinking about the book so you have to start reading more. Then you get to the end of the book with big tears and you just need to start on book 2. You're so into it and then they mention food, yummy food and them you say shit it's 3:30 in the afternoon and I haven't eaten and then you start place all the conversation that happened between you and your the kids ...more

Well it is 3:15 a.m. and I just finished He's Captured my Heart. I couldn't put it down until I had read the last word... When I started this book I was having a book hangover and nothing I had tried to read had kept my attention but as soon as I started this one I was hooked. You can't help but to fall for Alex even if at times you want to take something and club him upside the head.. as for Libby well you have to love her she is everything you would want in a female character. I was gifted this book from the author and boy I'm glad she did! The writing skill of this author was refreshing as well as being an author that so easily had me picturing myself staying at the hotel in which the story is based! I love Libby's strength and commitment to not only her work but to her family as well. I would like to say that I have figured Alex out, but I'm only going to assume the covers will be lifted once I delve into book 2.

To start this review off, I really liked the cover. It reminded me of Sylvia Day's covers (Who I love)

Instantly, I found myself attached to Libby. I found her story and connection with her twin heart touching. Her life has always been her family. Even taking over the running of her family hotel. That was until Gorgeous, rich, Alex came into her life. Again, it was a character that was appealing. I instantly warmed to him and looked for their relationship to blossom. However, never did I expect

This book captured MY heart and now I want more!

Just a warning, this book has the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers and I found myself screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO at the end just because I am one impatient reader!
I do not want to have to wait to see what happens with the fiercely independent Scottish Libby and the powerful and sexy American Alexander.

He’s Captured My Heart is the first book I have read from this author and will definitely not be the last. She is an amazing author. Alex Mathews is an American Businessman who comes to Scotland for business and Libby Stewart is managing her families hotel. When they meet it is an instant attraction. Well I feel bad for giving He's Captured My Heart only 3 stars, but I didn't capture my interest right away and I struggled to finish it. Karen Frances did a great job with the book, however it was something I didn't connect with.

I received a free copy for a review. With that said, I wish I could say I liked it enough to find out what happens with Libby and Alex. The story was good and I liked the characters. However, I found it distracting to read words used in sentences that Americans will never say. For instance, we don't say we're "shattered" when we mean exhausted. We also don't say "Up you get" and if we are going to see a football game, we actually say "game". These linguistic inaccuracies made the book difficult ...more

4.5 stars for me . This book took me about 6 chapters to really get into it, but after that I finished it with out taking a break . I didn't really get emotionally invested in the characters in this ,and I think a few times it was forgotten that Alex is American . So for me it was a good book . I really enjoy stories that don't make me cry all the time .a well rounded book.
