This piece of erotica is like no erotica I have ever read, and that’s saying something, considering I read a ton of it. A cross between a contemporary romance and a sci-fi fantasy, this story within a story is unique and engaging, and at times, the writing brilliant, especially during the science fiction world the two main characters, Faith and Kevin, write and create together to explore their darker desires.

Of all the books I've written, this one was probably the most difficult. I have on occasion written entire novels in two to three weeks. This one took me three years of climbing over one writer's block after another. The biggest problem was keeping Faith and Kevin's relationship realistic and engaging while still getting them where I wanted them to go.

As a novel, it is unusual in the fact that quite a bit of it employs a story-within-a-story device as Faith and Kevin work out their desires by w

Michael Dalton is a professional journalist and editor.

Michael wrote his first piece of fiction in third grade, for which he was immediately accused of plagiarism by his teacher. Since then, he has been writing more or less steadily, interrupted only by occasional demands of work and family.
