This is great for a "sharing lesson". This concept book was based on Bessey's messy closet and while going through it she decides to have a little yard sale and share her clothes with others.
Cute book, perfect for my 1st graders. I’m trying to get them used to the idea of giving things they no longer need away. Hopefully this book will reinforce that idea for them.
The wonderful thing about this character is that she is so authentic. I love how she learns as she goes along, adding to her knowledge base. In this book, her heart response about giving and sharing was perfect. That's the type do lasting lesson I want my kids to learn.
I secured a copy of this book from my local library.
Read this book with Collin, a young boy who is lagging in his reading skills. He enjoyed the book and rated it 4. I agree. Nice illustrations, simple story, just a bit preachy, in my opinion. Quick and easy.
Frank really liked this book, and I think it has a great lesson (give away the things you don't use anymore). Couldn't we all apply that more in our lives....
