Both Calculus AB and Calculus BC are covered in this comprehensive AP test preparation manual. Prospective test takers will find four practice exams in Calculus AB and four more in Calculus BC, with all questions answered and explained. The manual also provides a detailed 10-chapter review covering topics for both exams. Students who choose to purchase the optional book and CD-ROM combination will get two additional practice tests, one in Calculus AB, and the other in Calculus BC. The authors also offer an overview of the AP Calculus exams, which includes good advice to students on making best use of their graphing calculator.
Not sure why this review book has such low ratings on Goodreads. It offers great explanations of all the material featured on the AP exam and a plethora of practice problems and mock exams - in math, the best way to improve is to practice, and this book allows you to do that. It even possesses an index, a beneficial aspect a lot of AP review books lack for some reason. While some of the problems within the book are more difficult than those on the exam, I'd rather have it that way than for the problems to be easier. At least with harder problems you can practice formulas and applications. I highly recommend Barron's for help on AP Calculus AB or BC. I'm not a math person at all but with this book and my amazing teacher I earned a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam.
This rating is for the 12th edition. Comprehensive, well-organized. Some of the quiz answers could have used more explanation; as could some of the derivatives (e.g., compound functions, e.g., e^-x^2).
