“Storms never end. There are lulls. There are “calms” at the center. And there are even extended breaks. But life is made up of storms, and they will inevitably hit from time to time. Some will manifest with no more power than a strong gust of wind…others will strike with devastating force.”

Storms brew in multiple lives as Axel awaits his fate at the hands of Angel and Maddy – the two boys with most cause to condemn him to hell. And as Carl’s heart begins to trust Lex’s intentions…it is hit with a gale force that sends him reeling. Dane remains caught in his own private whirlwind of guilt, quietly battling the demons of the past while hiding his pain from Angel. And when a destructive storm strikes the heart of Abel’s own little family…all hope of salvation rests in Cole and Gabe’s hands.

But can they heal the hurt when, this time, “they” are the cause?

Pen name of author A.M. Snead.

Born and raised in scenic Coos County, Oregon, CJ enjoys the small town atmosphere and down-to-earth country folk who populate the area. She is a single mother and lives with her 18-year-old daughter, 1 horse, 4 dogs and 6 cats deep in the country woodlands which gives her plenty of time to write.

She is a Christian and a strong supporter of the LGBT community and favors gay erotic romance when it comes to writing. She hopes that her stories of love and acceptance will help further compassion and understanding for LGBT people who she feels is greatly misunderstood and persecuted - in a large party by the Christian community.

Most of all, she is hopeful that her stories will bring comfort to those who have been told that God hates them because they are different. It is her strong belief that God loves everyone and His love covers all.

Of course , this is the Phoenix boy's continues.
I love how the story developed with Lex and Carl (Carl somehow deserves someone who adores him like Lex), and the development between Devlin and Abel, makes this story more interesting, not to mention, added more drama to the young couple.

I can understand Devlin's insecure feeling about Abel, Gabe and Cole's "relationship" , but its Gabe and Cole we're talking about!
C'mon Doc, you can't be jealous to the guardian angels! Your loss anyway!

I loved how brave Maddy is to protect Angel, and his relationship with Max...Awww...the day he asked Max to call him "Dad", I was kinda teary eyes at that moment. *snif*

Can't wait to read Phoenix Reborn, I hope Devlin come to his senses, sooner !
Or, he can leave it to me to make my own ending with Gabe-Abel- Cole in the picture!

And I hope I can read about Axel very soon!

"One sacrifice covers a multitude of sin. Is complete redemption really possible? Why was it so much harder accepting forgiveness than giving it? Was it because the guilty one knew they didn’t deserve it? Or because it just hurt so fucking bad to be given a gift so freely and unconditionally?"

"Sometimes missing someone is just…missing them. You miss how they made you feel, their company. There’s no sin in that. Maybe a part of you will always miss that, even if you happen to…fall in love with someone else... "

NOOOOO!!

I can barely breath what's going on with Able and Devlin. Oh God Devlin don't you know how much Able loves you? Not fair this should not be happening they should be making wedding plans, not crying and trying to find there way back to each other. As for Axel he needs to get over whatever he thinks is holding him back from Clint. He could be the one good thing in his life.

Never a dull moment. The second of this trilogy continues with all the characters from the Phoenix Club. We kinda jump back and forward from one relationship to the next keeping up with what they're all up to and how their lives are all interwoven. There's lots of hot sex, they're all at it. I'm particularly liking the development of the relationship between Lex and Carl. What's not to like?!

Everyone is still dealing with so much from the last books. Devlin finds out about the time Abel was with Cole and Gabe which throws him through a loop. They know just what he needs though and helps him deal with his pain and know he is loved by them all.

Angel wants Dane to start dancing again and asks for help with that from Caleb and Abel. Clint and Corey show up to help Gave deal with a guy that's coming for him. Horatio and Max are finding their love with each other which is wonderful. Dane's interruption curse has shifted to them which was funny.

So much happy and little heartache but perfect. Lots of hot sex too and a threesome. Been while since read book one but hope finish this trilogy soon.

I loved the Phoenix Club series so read this follow up series. You need to have read the Club series to enjoy this one. In my opinion it's not quite as good. What I loved about the Club books was the combination of gripping angst ridden plots and the developing characters of the sexy men from the Club. Now this series tied up some lose ends & is more sex than plot, which is ok as I love the characters but the series doesn't really add anything new. Despite my criticism I still give 4 stars overall for the series.

Wow !!! Ok so i loved the first of this trilogy, but this one just blew that out of the water !!
This one is still catching us up with all the Phoenix Club gang, but in this we see the growth of some and also we see how, the guys who were indirectly part of the Phoenix Club are coping too, how their relationships are going. I love the way CJ has written this but, must state that you will need tissues when it comes to Maddy and the way he's turning out, the maturity he shows is indescribable but he still has his vulnerable side too.
Absolutely AMAZING !!
