4 Frustrating, Hot and Finally Oh So Right Stars * * * *

What is it about people who always think they know best...They do things to turn the "love of their lives" away while wishing they were good enough for them... Forget the other person has made it clear as day... they want to be with them... Nope... the one doing the turning away ALWAYS thinks they know best...

This is a tried and true storyline and in this final part of Savannah Young's series... it makes us a little crazed...but in the end,

I just couldn't get over the fact that Jake was such a manwhore even more so while he was sleeping with Harley. So he goes out of his way to push Harley away because he didn't think he deserved her or that that she should be stuck working as a waitress in a small town if he continues to sleep with her. Jakes goes out of his way to pick up women & rub it in Harley's face in the hopes she would finally give up on him. The last straw was when he broke a promise he made Harley to ensu

Haley the martyr and Jake the 'well used'
The story switches POVs throughout between Haley and Jake.
I enjoyed this one more than the first. Not that it was better, but more balanced and there was more to the plot. I would've put Jake in my unforgivable-asshats shelf, but it was like he squirms out of it by being not that bright. He had his reasons for keeping Harley in that abusive limbo of somewhere between a booty call and a girlfriend. It's just that his reasons were lame and really immature.

This is one series where I have read Book #1 and now #4 , I didn't mean too but it's just happened that way but after seeing that Book #4 was as good as the first one, it has now made me want to read the rest of the series and get to know the middle two brother's stories about how they met their loved ones. In Book #4 we read as Cooper and Riley's wedding is coming up fast - this was the story I read in Book #1 and we learn that one of Cooper's brother's is dating a movie star and that Tucker is ...more

This was a very captivating and enjoyable novel. Young takes us back to Old Town and Haymakers for one exciting and emotionally provocative tale. Her vivid descriptions and down to earth storytelling transported me to Jersey alongside the characters.

Young’s writing style makes you feel like you’re sitting beside the characters listening to the story instead of reading it. This up close and personal approach really drew me in until I couldn’t put the book down. I really, really enjoyed getting t

The final book in the series... Noooo!

Jake's story. The eldest Wilde boy.

Known for his 'bedroom' antics, and by bedroom, I mean the back office at Haymakers.

Savannah has saved the best for last and as I read the first three I didn't think i'd be into the Jake story because well, he's your typical (at least for me) male and I've been around them enough. Complete asses!

Harley is one of those women that grows on you and although I was mentally intimidated by her, I was fighting her corner soooo muc

Welcome back to rural Old Town, NJ, home of loud trucks, cold beer, country music, and the hot Wilde brothers!

In each book of the Old Town Country Romance series, Author Savannah Young weaves an entertaining romantic tale that tells the story of each of the four Wilde brothers: Cooper, Jake, Tucker, and Hunter.

In Wilde Times, Author Savannah Young once again calls upon her NJ roots as the reader is transported back to the small rural town of Old Town, NJ, where this time the fourth and final boo

This book was given to me for my honest review

Growing up as a young child we all remember the infamous ping pong table. We could watch the older generation of our family members play this game for hours on end talking about everything and anything their hearts desired. What happens though when the reality hits and the talking stops does the little ball continue to be passed back and forth or do we just quit the game entirely and move on to the next?

4 Loving, Redeeming Stars

“Wilde Times” was the last book in the ‘Old Town Country Romance’ Series. Having read the first three novels in this Series I knew I liked Young’s writing and I was curious about the last Wilde brother and whether or not he and Harley could redeem themselves for their sometimes awful behavior, towards one another and their friends.

From the first three novels, it was obvious that Jake’s and Harley’s relationship was very different to the one’s Jake’s brother have. He wasn

This is exactly the book I was hoping for Jake's story. In the previous books he appeared to be a rather shallow man, the one who didn't think twice about seducing women and forgetting about them the moment they walked out the door. Definitely not my cup of tea! From book one, my favorite Wilde brother has always been Cooper, the serious, Wall Street hotshot who showered his fiancée with love and attention, something Jake would never be able to do.
I was really curious to find out if the author w

Oh, these Wilde boys. If you’ve never read the series, you should. This is the fourth novel where we get to better understand the eldest of the Wilde brothers, consummate player Jake Wilde. While the book is a standalone, I decided I wanted to start from the beginning. It probably gave me a different perspective going into this book since we meet each of the brothers in each book. Seriously, I was not a fan of Jake and didn’t think he was worth any time Harley devoted to him. I was pretty irrita ...more

I know every person wants to believe that he or she is a special snowflake, but we’re really all just part of a gigantic human slush pile. When you love someone they’re supposed to elevate you from the slush for a while, and at least to that one person you’re special. - Harley Davis

Just like the previous book in this series, this was a quick, fun read that I devoured in one sitting. But unlike the last book where I smiled throughout and confirmed my belief in happy ever afters, this book really

Jake Wilde, manager of Haymakers, and the last of the Wilde brothers holding out for true love. In the previous books of this series Jake was always depicted as the man-whore. The other brothers have been on his case for a while now. Why can't he settle down? His dalliances in the back room of their bar are famous. They can't keep bar waitresses for long because of Jake's one night stands with them.

Only one waitress has remained loyal - Harley. She is not your usual waitress. Yes she is a beauti

Like the other Wilde brothers and their books on love this one doesn’t disappoint. Here we get two POV. We finally see Jake and see what he is thinking and feeling. We get to see the real Jake. After all the antics in the three books before and this one where he is a douchecanoe we finally get to see why. What his reasoning is. I actually felt sad and proud of him. I know feeling proud of a man who was treating someone like he treated Harley but I did. His reasoning was so honorable they make yo ...more

This was the perfect ending to this series. I have to say that I have completely enjoyed all of these books. I am looking forward to the spin off series that Ms. Young will be doing with the side characters that have made appearances throughout this series.

Jake Wilde is just that wild and has no plans to settle down to just one woman. Why should he when he can have his cake and eat it too. He is co-owner along with his 3 brothers of Haymakers, country bar in small town Old Towne. He liv

I felt like I knew the outcome of this before it even began. We have been watching Jake and Harley flirt and go to the back room for 3 books now. They are hot and heavy for each other, each one of them having their own little quirks that would make them push the other away. We knew that these 2 were going to end up together, it was just a matter of when that was the question.

I loved that we got to know more about Harley as the book went on. First off, we didn't know that her parents were big bik

A digital copy of this book was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.

It's been a while since I read a breezy countryside romance and this book fit the bill pretty well. Having not read the first three books in the series, I presumed I would find it hard to relate to the characters. But the author has done a good job in weaving this story as a stand-along tale. The story revolves around the Wilde brothers. While three of them have settled down with partners of their choice, with one a

MY REVIEW
This was the perfect ending to this series. I have loved all four books in the Old town series, each brother unique and a total hottie.
We have been teased with Jake and Harley's story throughout the previous three Old town books, they have always been involved in the stories about the other brothers but in the back ground only giving us little tit bits of the couple. But now we have the whole picture from them.

There were times when i wanted to smack Jake and Harley then there were times

This was the last book in the Wilde brothers series. This is also a short story about 175 pages or so. This is Harley and Jake Wilde's story. If you have read the other Wilde books you know Jake doesn't do relationships and he doesn't like to commit to anyone. Harley has loved Jake since she was a young girl. She stays in Old Towne and at Haymakers because Jake runs it. It is ten years later and she still is getting punished by Jake every time he takes a new girl with him. What Harley doesn't kn ...more

Jake and Harley. These two needed to be smacked or locked in a room together for a few days or something, maybe they could have gotten themselves together sooner!!

I enjoyed the banter back and forth between the main characters, though at times I wanted to slap Jake silly.
His idea of giving Harley the out she needs to have the life he thinks she deserves is so backwards and twisted but at the end of the day comes from the heart though he had absolutely no idea how to do it without compl

Once again, it seems I am late to the party as this is the first book I have read in this series, but is the final book of 4. Fortunately, my reading of the story was not spoiled by this.

If ever there were two characters who you just wanted to bash their heads together, to knock some sense into them, its Harley and Jake. Dont get me wrong, the physical chemistry between the two of them is very well described, and Harley's frustration with Jake's actions is tangible.

Happily, Harley takes her ros

I thought the plot for this book was good. Girl loves boy, pines for him, 'leaves' him and they end up together in the end.
However I just can't fathom how a smart girl (it is constantly mentioned how smart she is and how many scholarships she was offered) would not see it earlier that the lead male is a player who has no respect for her or really cares about her. The lead female is not really respected in this book. The lead male realises that he has always loved her when she cuts him off - he j

I'm so sad to see the Wilde Brothers stories come to an end, but this couldn't have been a more perfect story to save for last. Reading about Jake and Harley from the beginning you know they are destined to be together, but what you don't know is how Jake has felt about Harley throughout the previous three books. In Young's typical fashion, there is some "will they? Won't they?" tension but readers who fell in love with the Wilde boys will fall in love with this story, the ending, and all of the ...more

It's a must read!!! It seems like you can read it as a stand alone which thankfully I did and I felt like I wasn't missing much as it kind of goes over what has happened in the past stories but not much. The characters are amazing and the events that the characters go through even more amazing. This is a 2 person POV story that is told with emotions that for the characters are over powering, basically something that never happens for them. The details in which the author has the characters expla ...more

I have been waiting forever for Jake and Harley story and I was not disappointed. Everything came together nicely. I hate to see it end but am overly excited about how it ended. Tucker was the saving grace in this book by being more openand honest with Jake and Harley. This book is a must read. Thank you Savannah

Fun loving and fun

Loved them all. Swept into the sage again and again. It's nice to escape reality and get lost in the pages of a great story. This one was able to make you believe you were right there with them. Loved the characters through the whole series. Well written and easy to follow. You to will love the charm of this family and get lost in their world.
