Elizabeth Holloway Awesome! :-) Yes. Death Becomes Me picks up pretty much where Call Me Grim leaves off. And things are about to get real.

Let me start off by saying that this review probably isn't 100% fair to the author. It's been a year or so since I've read the first book, so this one was harder for me to read. I'll definitely have to re-read both of them in the near future.

Okay, first of all... the plot for this whole series is GENIUS! I absolutely love it.

Basically, there's a grim reaper in every part of the world. They collect our souls when we die, obviously. The only way for a grim reaper to give up their position is by s

* Thank you to Elizabeth Holloway for being so patient with me and my belated review! With the holidays, my job(s), and other personal obligations I have had very little time to read. Thanks again!

This review contains general plot spoilers of the first book of the series.

The action picks up right where it left off in this second installment of the Call Me Grim series.

Libbie and Aaron have left Caroll Falls in Kyle's hands and are trying to outrun/outsmart Abba

This is an awesome sequel to Call Me Grim, which brings the danger, the action, and the characters to a whole new level. Holloway's writing puts the reader right in the middle of the world she's created, pushing you to the edge of your seat to find out how Libbi and Aaron will get out of the mess they find themselves in. Plenty of blood-curdling and hair-raising scenes in this one, and you'll find yourself biting your nails in worry for the beloved characters. ...more
So, WOW, this book surprised me. I’d read the first book a week, maybe two, before diving in to Death Becomes Me. I thought it was fun and interesting and even playful, in parts, despite dealing with what can be pretty heavy subject matter (death, obviously, but also suicide, murder, attempted rape). I loved the somewhat lighthearted approach the author took, and it’s one I’ve seen before in books with the regular-person-recruited-as-a-reaper trope. We definitely saw some bad things and heard fr ...more

I received this book for free from Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Back in Call Me Grim, Elizabeth Holloway introduced us to the world of Grim Reapers, the dead who take the souls of the newly dead and bring them to Abbadon until they choose someone to replace them. Holloway left an open ending with Libbi's and Aaron's story, and while I felt Call Me Grim can stand on its own well, I decided to take a gander on

'Death Becomes Me' is the exciting second book in a fun young adult paranormal series. It continues to follow our main character - Libbi - as she and fellow Grim Reaper Aaron break out of their hometown of Carroll Falls and are now on the run with nobody to help them. By leaving their town, Libbi and Aaron have broken a covenant between Reapers and Abaddon (Death himself) - and now they're at the top of his hit list. With their options dwindling quickly, it seems like Death will win the final ba ...more

Death Becomes Me was a great sequel to one of my favorite grim reaper stories! Picking up immediately after the lightning fast ending of Call Me Grim, we follow Libby and Aaron as they try to stay one step ahead of Abbadon. With romance, adventure, thrills and secrets, Death Becomes Me hit a high note, just like it's prequel!

Libbi and Aaron have escaped from Carrol Falls, leaving Kyle behind as the new Reaper. It won't be long before Abaddon, Death Himself, realizes they have escaped and come

Why this book?

I loved the first book in the series!

What I thought

I first must admit that I didn’t like this book as much as I liked the first in the series, but I loved that we got more Libbi and Aaron romance! Actually I’m just happy we got more Libbi and Aaron scenes in general! I feel that Death Becomes Me wasn’t as much fun as

I give this book 4.5 stars

This is the first book I have read by Elizabeth Holloway, it kept me intrigued and took me on an adventure of Death. I didn’t know what to expect when I started reading this and I was surprised.
This book takes you on the adventure of escaping death not being in its grip or laying on the gorund dieing. This will give you a different outlook on death

The book picks up right after the first one. Libby and Aaron are on the run and Kyle is left at Carroll falls to be a reaper. Part of them think they are somewhat safe from Abbadon but they know they cannot escape him it`s just a matter of time before they catch them and the punishement will be hell.

They need help but nobody can help them, Abbadon is everywhere, they meet another reaper Booby, who reveals that there`s a rumour that another reaper escaped from Abbadon crutches. Is it true? Can t

I loved this book! Review to come :)
3.5 rounded-up to 4 stars.

The second book, Death Becomes Me , wasn’t as good as the first one (I mean, clearly, my review isn't as fan-girly as it was for the first book), but it’s still pretty good. The concept of being a grim reaper is more exposed as we learn about other grim reaper “powers” and rules. We get to meet new reapers, which is the main reason why I started this series. And we finally get to meet Abbadon and learn of his world.

The book starts in the middle of action MCs running

I don't know what i expected but this was not it, at all..

Not gonna fully review this but i'll say a few things:

For the majority of the book we have our MC, Libbi, whining and fretting over and over and over and over (you get it) about every little thing and about the thousands of possibilities there are for each and every little said thing to not go as she wants it to.
She has been running away from everything & everyone, never stopping to actually think, and again whining about every

I know its weird to start with the end of the book, but guys, this just got soooooo interesting!! Seriously, cliff hanger much?! The suspense is real. *grabby hands* Next book please!

The book jumped right into the action; it took me a while to get into it because of this but in Elizabeth's defence, its been a year since I read the first and I had to remind myself what was happening. Personally I felt that the book moved to fast, t

*I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review!*

I know I really shouldn't start like this but I hated that ending so much that I was an inch away from blasting my kindle to smithereens.
I loved the book up until 80% or so, it went downhill pretty fast from there. I was emotionally destroyed and incapable of coherent speech after that. I won't reveal anything of course, if I had to suffer like that, then by God, you all should suffer. But it was bad, it was so bad.
