Book 1 is Set 4 of the primary phonics series, this book focuses on the consonant diagraph SH. It follows the story of a sheep, and his conversation with a fish in a pond. Not an exciting story in and of itself, but a good continuation of reading skills, building on concepts learned in the books in the prior 3 sets.
