What is the worst that can happen?

Maria and Jonas Boegh asked themselves that very question when deciding to sign the papers for their new house. It might be expensive. They might be in over their heads a little financially, but they were never happier than on the day they moved in. Everything was perfect. It was the house of their dreams. They had their entire life ahead of them.

They were untouchable.

When the couple’s bodies are found the very next morning by their next-door neighbor, Emma Frost, a series of strange things start to happen on the small Danish island. More people are killed, and soon, Emma is chasing a serial killer about whom she only knows one thing. He’s obsessed with the old classic movie, The Wizard of Oz.

This was an awesomely entertaining read - I just love the Emma Frost series. I feel sorry for poor Emma though, she attracts more serial killers than you can poke a stick at and with this foray she's managed to capture the attention of none fewer than three! Add in men troubles and you have the full gamut of emotions running through the story.
This novel follows on pretty much straight after Easy As One, Two, Three and looks set to continue in Slenderman with a plotline set in an arc. It should be a ripper of a conclusion.
It's hard to explain much more of the novel without giving spoilers away, especially given that this is quite a short read, but I can guarantee that you'll never look at The Wizard Of Oz the same way again. A must for all Emma Frost fans!

Willow Rose keeps her well deserved title as the Queen of Scream, and this is definitely a nail-biting edge of your chair thriller. The only problem is so many ends are left untied and not wrapped, so many mysteries are never solved. Still it's a good read and will surely leaving you wanting to read more of Rose's clever books. Therefore, I recommend for a book to give one thrill after another.

Kindle Unlimited, although own 9 of the 10 and possibly some of the sets; wondering if should buy 10 so going to read on ku but first going to read 1 NOPE ALL GARBAGE, went through 10 piles of filth and garbage and sewage. Every story has cardboard characters, unbelievable and stupid nonsense situations, and that is IF can understand the broken/bad mangled sentences of 'English'. CLAIMS a 'modern murder she wrote' uh how, it's not a decent mystery, it's not a decent 'book', and it's ridiculously BAD. "A hair-raising thriller from an Amazon bestselling author!
...A must read for mystery lovers." NOT NOT NOT NOT and btw 'thriller is NOT the same as 'mystery', otherwise they'd be listed under the same subheading.

This is, by far, one of stupidest things {ALL TEN} have ever read in entire life, and that's thousands of books across every genre. Did person writing this have English skills, because sure doesn't seem that way, and if it was translated that person needs fired, whoever edited this crap as well because there are misspellings, run on sentences, words in weird places, missing words, wrong syntax, pretty much unreadable mess. The switching of perspective in telling this mess is ridiculous. Switching tenses is ridiculously confusing and definitely wrong. When a 'story' is this bad, it makes it worse if that's even possible, when can't tell who is saying what or talking to or about who. This whole piece of junk should have warning label for graphic crap garbage. These books are so full of garbage even a toxic landfill would refuse to take this sewage.

Maria and Jonas Boegh asked themselves that very question when deciding to sign the papers for their new house. It might be expensive. They might be in over their heads a little financially, but they were never happier than on the day they moved in. Everything was perfect. It was the house of their dreams. TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE, stupid 'stories', ALL happening on a TEENY TINY ISLAND!!

5/2014, Maria Boegh & Jonas Boegh newlyweds were looking to buy their dream house.
3/2009, Fanoe Island (Flashback). Louise Tanggaard (38) watched the news from Copenhagen, Denmark.
Bjarke Lund (15) had been on trial for killing his mother.
All the furniture in place Maria & Jonas went out to eat pizza.
7/2014, Jesper Melander (voyeur) was enjoying watching the couple have sex.
Emma Frost (neighbor) called Officer Morten (Emma’s BF).
Dr. Williamsen was at the murder crime scene.
Later; Christine Hansen (wife/mother), Jacob Hansen (husband/father), & Emilie Hansen (son) moved into the vacant house.
Regardless of what society thought/said Louise (nee Carlson) & Bjarke got married.

It was a package deal.
Lurifax (cat), Lorianne (cat), Maria (daughter, amnesia, Social Anxiety DO, Agoraphobia), & Victor (son) were included.
Camilla (tattoo artist), & Mikkel were the next owners of the house.

Warning: This book is for adults only & contains extreme violent or graphic adult content or profanity &/or sexually explicit scenarios. It may be offensive to some readers.

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written psychological thriller book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great psychological thriller movie, or better yet a mini TV series. To be continued. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

My dislike for Morten continues.........
A serial killer is targeting couples who are new homebuyers and killing them in a gruesome way.
Of course Emma has to start investigating these crimes which puts her on the radar of the killer. I mean really she asks for stuff to happen to her.
So here is my issue with Emma. I’m all for full figured women. But not for unhealthy women who eat their sorrows away. That is something that needs to really be addressed. I don’t know why the author insists on making these middle aged women (Emma Frost, and the Eva Rae series) break down and eat their feelings. You want to route for them but the author makes it so difficult.
Since day one Emma has not really felt passionately in love with Morten and we still have no answers on what happened with his ex wife. So why is Emma so broken up when Morten chooses his practically adult daughter over her. Why is she so self sabotaging! And why is Morten so threatened by Emma? Is it because she is a better cop than he is.
Also the numerologist from the last book is back and still on the loose.
Victor is still pretty cool and helping to solve crime.
I liked the plot but the main characters are really making me dislike this series.

A newly married couple moves into their first home, next to Emma Frost. They are so happy and begin to decorate the house. The next morning Emma hears a scream and goes to the neighbor’s house and found the couple brutally murder. She is devastated and can’t believe is was so close to her and her family. Then another family gets brutally murdered across town. The people on this island realize the have a serial killer in the town. Emma does some investigating and discovers a common link between the 2 murdered couples. They both just moved into their new homes. So she hunts all the new homes purchases and manages to stop the killer from killing the couple. He gets away but not before seeing her and this places her and her loved ones in danger. Hopefully this killer will be caught before he kills anyone else.

Poor Emma Frost is certainly a magnet for trouble. This time the trouble came to her. Somebody is taking out young couples who are buying their first homes on our little island. Fortunately for us, Emma can't keep herself from solving this case. Along with her son, daughter, best friends, and boyfriend she dives right in an gets herself in trouble while figuring out exactly who the murderer(s) is/are.

Can't be bothered to read this one

Not fantasy , not mystery . Bloody with Wizard of Oz nonsense and follow up from previous book's crazy doctor .
Willow Rose has written many good books that I have read, this series is childish and nonsensical not even good fantasy . It feels rushed , like she is writing for quantity not quality .

Love a good mystery

This was a pretty good mystery, kept me interested up into the ending. Still wondering how some of the other characters played into this story so I will have to read up on some of the other books before this one. This was my first Emma Frost novel but it won't be my last.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review

This book is written around psychological manipulation, murder, torture, and police procedure. The characters are well written and developed, the plot is active and dynamic and constantly charging thus keeping the reader engaged, the twists, turns, and cliff hangers are top notch and will keep the reader engaged also.

Entertaining read

I enjoyed the story - unfortunately I read this one second and Slenderman first but no matter the stories intertwine and are a good read. I have questions about some of the story and I’m not sure English is her native language. These books are not meant to be classics just a nice way to spend a rainy weekend curled up with a murder mystery

OMG, OMG, OMG. I thought i had this one figured out ... about 5 different times. Probably some of the most (and best) twists and turns. This one had me hanging on until the very, very end and anxiously waiting to start the next one (or go back to the start of the series for some that i missed! Willow Rose is quickly becoming one of my new favorite authors!!

There's No Place Like Home

There isn't anything different than what I have Karadzic about these books. This is a great mystery thriller . I can't wait to start the next book in the series. As soon as I finish one book I am right on to the next one. I highly recommend this series. Great thriller.

Best one in the series, so far.

Emma, once again finds herself mixed up with a serial killer. As she tries to live a, somewhat normal life, it doesn’t go quite as planned. while Emma is trying to simply survive, someone is watching! Someone, from her past, is planning to get rid of Emma, and her family. You must read the complete series, in order to find out who it is.

My biggest problem with the last few book in this series is that they're cliff hangers. You have to read the next one to find out what happened. In this case, I guess it's the next two, though. I got this one to learn what happened to the numerologist and now find that I won't find out till the next book... or maybe even the one after that. Who knows?

So Good

I love me some Willow Rose and the Emma Frost series is my favorite. I’m so glad she has added a new installment in this series. I can’t wait until it comes out September 20TH. Poor Emma she sure can get herself into some trouble but she always seems to come out on top. Good triumphs over evil again.

I will say this much, I never saw the end coming.

Definitely held my interest throughout. I am not fond of Emma Frost. She seems to me to be too self-absorbed quite a lot of the time, but not always. She certainly has an interesting life. Sometimes I'm surprised she has survived so long. LOL

I will never be able to watch The Wizard of Oz and not think of this book! Another outstanding book! Someone is using the Wizard of Oz as a killing resource and is taking lives and other such things! While Emma and Morten are deciding on their future the numerologist is praying in on Maya!

Loved this

With Emma Frost, you never know what will happen. Love the characters, especially with all their little qwirks. The island setting and the plot. Especially loved the line Quote Ding dong, the Witch is dead, unquote. Laughed out loud, literally!

Another exciting adventure with Emma

This book felt different from the other books in this series. Maybe because of all the cake she ate. Well written with believable characters and intriguing plots. Read it in one day. Would recommend this for anyone who loves a great thriller.
