This is the story of Sara Forrester and Kevin Scott who are connected. How, where, why and when form the core of their mission and their life is a long and arduous quest after truth and enlightenment.
Sara couldn’t run fast enough to catch whatever she was chasing or escape from that which was close at her heels. She was no longer in another world, but instead with Kevin on the mission to obtain the first key of enlightenment, and with any luck rescue humanity.

When I picked up this book I must had been distracted and did not notice it was the second in a series but once I started reading it didn’t matter which book it was I was hooked. Dana Alexander wrote this book beautifully. Giving me enough information to just keep wanting more. I think my favorite art of this book was the relationship between Sara Foster and her soulmate. There is so much he knows that she does not and it just adds to the frustrations and trials that they are already facing. But ...more

Having read the first book in the Three Keys series, I knew that I wouldn't be able to avoid digging into this second installment, and I was not disappointed. Sara's adventure deepens immensely in this second book, and we find that the stakes are even higher than we had first realized. Whereas the first novel was focused highly on exposition, welcoming us into this world and helping us soak up the premise and plot, A Light Within was much more focused on Sara as a character, and finding a health ...more

A Light Within is the second book of the series and it has some back drop from the first book but I think it is more understandable if you have read the first book. Again, we find Sara in the middle of the fight between good and evil plus the budding relationship with Kevin, her protector. I was happy to find that she does learn more about her past lives and who she really is. I definitely felt like there was progression and didn't feel as frustrated with the hidden knowledge. In this book, Sara ...more

This was a really good tale. Even though I didn’t read the first book in this series (this is the second, and I really need to start picking up the first books from now one), the story wasn’t hard to follow. The author did not swamp you with information either, rather she lest the story unfold and feeds you a bit of background information little by little. That is the best way to do this I think. I did feel a tad lost amidst the many characters and their relation ships from time to time, but nev ...more

When I bought A Light Within (Three Keys Book 2) by Dana Alexander, I didn’t see the second half of the title, and didn’t realize this was the second book in a series (whoops!). Then I opened it on my Kindle and saw it was a sequel, and prepared myself to not understand thing that was going on. But then, something strange happened.

I loved it.

As I read, I did feel that I had missed out on certain key plot points, but the storyline of this novel was so well-developed that I didn’t feel I particula

Remarkable Fantasy Thriller!

“Even with my growing anticipation of getting the first key, my thoughts had never left Tarsamon, the demon that directed the evil that had recently been ordered to hunt me. I was an increasing threat as I grew closer to each of three keys that would put an end to his forces sucking the energy out of the humans to create an existence for the dark energy.”

In book two of Dana’s remarkable fantasy thriller, she doesn’t miss a beat as Sara and Kevin’s quest continues in s

I do like sci-fyi and and fairy tale but this was a bit too much supernatural, magical, mysticism, demons and weird creatures. It was almost for a pre-teen imaginative mind but the sexual scenes, being so descriptive, excluded that age group. The plot was still pretty intriguing however and really held my interest straight to the end.
It was well written for the most part. The author was pretty skilled ensuring that sufficient detail and time was spent on each scene allowing you to feel what Sara

I truly enjoyed “A Light Within (Three Keys Book 2), by Dana Alexander. She is able to take a character, by traditional roles, should have been somewhat meek and then transformed into a strong, independent character. Instead, Sara is portrayed as her own person that eventually succumbs to her own inhibitions, loving Kevin. The truly great thing about this connection is that is was something she never wanted or was aware of in the past, but Kevin was completely aware of their connection. The lack ...more

The second book in the series. Sara is off to find the second key. If you didn’t read the first book, Dana Alexander somewhat clumsily gives the backstory in a rush in the beginning of the second book. It’s never completely easy to update the reader on the plot of the previous book, but Alexander blurts it all out at once which might turn a new reader away.

Once you get into the flow of the story, it’s easy to follow along. Sara seemed a bit reluctant to accept her role in finding the three keys

Had high hopes for this one, but…

I read the first book in this series and thought had promise, even though it really needed an editor and the formatting needed fixed. At least with this second book the formatting was not an issue, but an editor still needs to be found! (Doing so would probably move this book from 3-stars to 4 or 4-1/2 stars in my opinion.)

I had hoped the pace would quicken with this book, but the slow pace set by the first book continued with this one. The main character, Sara,

A Light Within is an interesting science fiction novel. Sara Forrester and Kevin Scott are on a quest to find three keys to prevent the Dark Lord from taking over the earth. They have an elite team that is aiding them, and there to protect Sara.
Sara was once a leader in Alliance, and now she is human and must learn to function with added abilities, trust issues, and deal with her unknown past. She knows she is more to Kevin than just a girl friend, but what? He is not at liberty to reveal it to

A Light Within (Three Keys Book 2) by Dana Alexander was a hard read for me. While the story was interesting, I found that it was the 2nd book in a series and I had not read the first book. There are several references to that first book, to things that happened that aren’t really fleshed out in this one. Unfortunately for me, I was unable to get the first book so I soldiered on.
The heroine, Sara Forrester, along with her protector and lover Kevin, are on a quest to retrieve 3 ancient keys that

This book is just as action packed as the first one. In case you missed that one, you don’t have to worry because it will still all make sense. The author drops hints so you won’t be lost and will be able to keep up and enjoy the story. At the beginning of this one, Sara and Kevin are in Scotland to obtain something they will need to complete a very important journey. The beginning is a bit scary, with possible ghosts talking and crazy dreams, and the book never lets up on suspense; it just keep ...more

A Light Within (Three Keys Book 2) by Dana Alexander
For readers that are familiar with the first book in this series by author Dana Alexander, you will not be disappointed in this second installment. If you haven’t read it, Beyond a Darkened Sky provides the backstory and minute details that explain how main character Sara has come to the point where we meet up with her again in book two, A Light Within. However, this book is quite able to stand on its own, so don’t be discouraged if you haven’t

“A Light Within” is a science fiction story written by Dana Alexander, American writer. It is the second book in a series called “Three Keys”. I enjoyed reading this story although I read in the comments that it is very similar to the first book of the series, which I have not read yet but I want to.
In the last few years there is a tendency towards having a woman as the hero and this is an example of this. The heroine is called Sara Forrester and she has to fulfill certain tasks to succeed. The

Sara Forrester has a long past she unfortunately can’t remember. She was the leader of the Alliance. She feels a connection to Kevin, but unbeknownst to her, Kevin is part of her past, a warrior. As the future of humanity hangs in the balance, Kevin and Sara are on the hunt for 3 keys that will keep a dark world from drawing from human’s energy for evil. Fooled as they closed in on the first key, Sara is taken and Kevin must save her.

Sara and Kevin are back in book 2, A Light Within, a follow-up to Beyond a Darkened Sky. Sara is once again saving the wakened world from Tarasom and an evil plan to destroy humanity. She accesses this other world in her sleep, and has a long past that she can’t remember. Along with Kevin, three keys are to be found in order to break Tarasom.
I am a huge fan of sci-fi. I bought the first book after a recommendation from a friend and found myself instantly drawn to the story. Fair to say, reading

Light Within (Three Keys Book 2) by Dana Alexander was a good read. I read the first in the series Beyond a Darkened Sky back over the summer. And I was thrilled to get my hands on the second one. In this book, we pick up again with Sarah Forrester and her protector Kevin still looking for the three keys.

I think this book flowed nicely. I was glad I had read the first in the series prior to this one. So I knew exactly what was going on. The characters are well developed and the plot keeps you d

A Light Within is the second book in a series, and this is one series that you really do want to read in order. Without a doubt, the series is heavily into fantasy and has taken Sara Forrester out of a normal world and into something that is completely different. It’s a complex fantasy story, but it’s complex in all the right ways. The author does a great job at bringing this fantasy world to live, although there were some times where the rules felt a little arbitrary, which did detract a little ...more

Oops, so I did not read the first book, first. That was my mistake don't let it happen to you. You really need to, you kind of get a flimsy back story at with the beginning of this book but you'd be better off reading it. Fantasy is really not my thing but this book may have changed that for me. There is a lot of action in this book though. Sara is on a mission to find three old keys to save to world. Now if you will excuse me I need to go read the first book. ...more

My review is for the trilogy, which is good. Mythology is not my fave, but I enjoyed this overall. It has magic and mystery and is not too over the top. Ms Alexander is a talented writer with good skills and imagination, creates an imaginative and compelling tale. Each book stands on its own, but are most enjoyable when read in order.

I really appreciate the copy for review!!
