The Big Kitty’s back with a new batch lasagna-fueled comic book adventures!
Fresh out of the oven, it's more garfield comic adventures--because you can never have too much of a good thing. This collection follows Garfield as he celebrates a New Year, ships Nermal around the world, and gets into other seasonal shenanigans! Writers Mark Evanier and Scott Nickel, and Garfield daily strip artist Gary Barker team up with Andy Hirsch and a wonderful cast of special guests to come together for more fun than you can shake lasagna at!
This book wasn’t very good. There was maybe one or two stories that were ok but most were pretty bad. Quite a few of them had the characters looking really weird again. One of the stories was extremely similar to another story they did in a previous book. That’s the second time I’ve noticed them copy their own stories in another book with only slight changes. It’s ridiculous. I also hate that more and more the characters talk to the reader throughout the story. I don’t mind Garfield talking to the reader as the narrator telling the story but I hate when a character talks to the reader that is part of the story. I was not impressed with this book and I do not recommend it.
I've checked out a few of these books now and I'm really not a big fan. I guess I just prefer the old comic strips to these wannabe action adventure comics...cause when you think of action adventure...you definitely think of Garfield...right? :sarcasm:
Lots of silly comics. Liked the Sunday ones. Also liked the fact that there were a lot of scenes where Garfield was looking up and you could only see his little snout. I love those ones.
