It took me a couple of chapters to really get into this book but once I did, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is the story of two sisters, Tamsin and Sam and a build up to Christmas that will change both of their lives. The story is told in chapters which alternate between Tamsin and Sam’s viewpoints. At first there did seem to be some overlap between each chapter which did feel a bit repetitive although this did lessen after the first couple of chapters. Either that, or I was hooked by then and just ...more

I lost myself totally in this warm, festive read. I couldn't wait to read more and read it in one day.

Tamsin's luxury lifestyle falls apart when bailiffs turn up at her mansion in the middle of her Christmas photoshoot. She learns that her husband has let the business go and there is no money for her to buy designer dresses and shoes. Her sister Sam Angel happened to be there at the same time and took her back to stay in her tiny flat above the bakery she ran.

I loved the description of their rel

I was delighted that Sue Watson had produced a lovely Christmas book to get me through the next year until her next release. Thankfully this little baby could tide me over until then and FYI how lovely and Christmassy (that’s a real word you know) is the cover?!

At 254 pages this felt a little bit too short for me but I forgive the wonderful Sue as the book was so enjoyable! I adored the two main characters of this story who are sisters from the get go! Sam Angel is the sensible sister, but hav

What an amazing holiday read. I have been looking for a way to get into the holiday spirit and this was just the novel to do that!

Not everything in life is easy and Tamsin's life this year is proof of that. She thought she had everything and then two bailiff's show up and she loses it all in less than 5 minutes. He home is being taken, her husband has run away and she has no friends t

I was given an ecopy of this book by Kim at Bookouture in exchange for an honest review which I'm more than happy to give. If anyone read Sue's last book Love, Lies & Lemon Cake you'll know how much I was looking forward to this book.

This book revolves around Tamsin and Sam, two sisters who are outwardly living two totally different lives but when the veneer is stripped away they both share some very similar qualities and ideals.

Tamsin is moving in high circles, with a very polished act whic

Snow Angels, Secrets and Christmas Cake is a wonderfully sweet Christmas story about the love of family, how to stay strong when the odds are against you, and learning to be the person you want to be. It’s a magical and uplifting story that I thoroughly enjoyed, and definitely put me in the Christmas spirit.

Sam and Tamsin Angel are about as different as sisters come. Sam is a down-to-earth bakery owner, still grieving her late husband, who works her a

It's almost Christmas which means it's the busiest time of the year for the sisters Tamsin and Sam. Tamsin is wealthy and every year she tries to throw the best Christmas party in the neighborhood. Everything is going according to plan as she's fully prepared as always. Then something awful happens, a pair of bailiffs shows up to take possession of her home. Apparently her husband has made a huge mess of their finances. He's nowhere to be found and the only thing Tamsin can do is moving in with ...more

Snow Angels, Secrets and Christmas Cake is a wonderful read. It's one of those stories that has you grinning with laughter in places and will see you with a big sloppy grin the rest of the time. It is the perfect novel to snuggle up on the sofa with on a cold winters day or night.

Tamsin and Sam are sisters who have led very different lifestyles in their adult hood and are quite different in their personalities also. Tamsin is used to being able to pick up the phone and have an expert on hand for

Sue Watson did it again! After Younger, Thinner, Blonder and Love, Lies and Lemon Cake, I wasn't expecting anything less from this fabulous author. Every single word in her stories is sweetened with chocolate, vanilla and cupcakes and there is no way you'll feel down after reading them. Every one next is even better and better and this time she really nailed it.

The plot centers around Angel sisters. Sam is young widow with little son. She owns a bakery, she runs it since her husband died, it's h

A Christmas cracker of a read.

I really enjoyed the last book I read by Sue Watson, so when I saw this I knew I had to give it a go. And I did really enjoy it, The humor in this book is just priceless. I really found myself chuckling at parts. Sue Watson really does know how to drag the reader into the book.

This is my first Sue Watson book, I’ve heard so many great things about this book and also Love, Lies and Lemon Cake (on my TBR). I was happy to finally have the possibility to read one of her books.
This is a beautiful and touching story about two sisters.

This book has a pretty festive cover and the story is just wonderful. While reading the book it made me feel that it’s snowy December instead of rainy October. It truly is heart-warming and hilarious, but also connected with serious issues like grief, abuse, lies and cheating.

Tamsin and Sam are sisters, but their lives are totally different, Tamsin is use to have money, and throw the biggest and best Christmas parties, while Sam lives in a small apartment above the bakery where she works at. Sis

I was sent an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Having read one of Sue's previous books, I was really looking forward to delving into this one and I am happy to report that it did not disappoint.

A light hearted story filled with love, friendships and humour. A romantic book that wasn't all about the men but about the women too.

Tamsin is the sister who has done well for herself, doesn't need to worry about money, appears to have the perfect life.

Sam has had her fair share of disa

Sue Watson has produced a wonderful, heart-warming, festive celebration of a book with 'Snow Angels, Secrets and Christmas Cake'. This lovely story has the trademark laugh-out-loud humor that makes all of her books stand out, but it is the sensitively portrayed bond between two sisters and how they overcome their differences and the travails life throws at them that makes this book so very special. Sue creates characters we can all relate to, and this tale too, like her other books, is populated ...more

Another utter corker from Sue. Happy, sad, funny, uplifting, heart-wrenching and full of wonderful cake-filled pleasure.

It's the story of 2 sisters who's lives have taken very different paths. Wealthy big sister Tamsin's luxury lifestyle is turned upside whilst planning her annual Christmas extravaganza, the bailiffs turn up and announce that her husband hasn't been paying any bills. Little sister, Sam, widowed so young, steps in to help out, even though she has a small flat and is struggling t

It boggles my mind that this book has such great reviews.

Besides being repetitive and predictable, the editing is atrocious. I've never read so many run on sentences in one story. Plus, I didn't appreciate the writer explaining over and over to the reader what was happening rather than just showing us with action. I would have enjoyed the story more with characters that were more fleshed out and a very heavy edit.

I really enjoyed how the book was written, each chapter alternating between the sisters. It gave a fresh perspective on the goings on. An easy read that by the end I was sad to finish.

Girly novel with a little festive twist. I found the characters, however, to be very dull, shallow and selfcentered. But if you can get past that, you'll probably enjoy this book about family, sisterhood, baking and ambitious futures.

Atrocious Editing for Kindle

I love Sue's books but the editing has become a nightmare with the Kindle editions. I'm an easygoing person, and can forgive the random misspelled word or odd translation that can be read in context...but when books have sentences stating "Cum on" instead of "C'mon"? I start to believe that neither the author or publisher have too much invested in the quality of their books. I am not a prude but am unwilling to spend any more money on books by people that care so litt
