Wow--what a book! Truly un-put-down-able! If I had the time and was capable of reading a book in one sitting, this would be one of them! This one pushed all my buttons, and had everything I enjoy in a romantic suspense. There's action, sexual tension, romance, hot sex, family problems, regrets, forgiveness, mystery, love, and one big whopper of a surprise ending. (Please, don't ruin it for yourself like I did and 'accidentally' read the last page!) The hero and heroine are fabulously drawn chara ...more

Always Look Twice is my favorite book so far in this great series about the Callahan Brothers. Both the hero and heroine in this novel were very likeable, and I found the story to be intense and emotional. There was plenty of action and a good storyline. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book by this author.

When Mark Callahan crashes a party planning to rescue a family friend from his hometown who is in a bad situation, he is surpised to find a gun held to his back by none other than his
5 stars – Romantic Suspense

As good as the first two books in the Callahan Brothers series are, this third installment is even better and totally blew me away! Where Give Him the Slip and Never Say Never leaned more towards wacky humor mixed with some action and light suspense, the drama, romance, and suspense elements take precedence in Always Look Twice. I really enjoyed the way Ms. Dawson weaved events in such a way as to give the feel of reading a good contemporary romance and a thrilling rom

I found a new favorite author. This was a wonderful romantic suspense with neat characters, good action, suspense and well written. It moves right along and had some surprising twists that I didn't see coming. I like that.

There are a lot of regrets in this book. Making amends for past mistakes and deciding how much a person can take before they have to walk away. I didn't think I would like reading about a couple that worked together, married in secrete, met whenever they could (for sex) around

Always Look Twice the final book in the Callahan Brothers trilogy has the bones of a really good romantic suspense - the balance between the backstory, action and the romance between Mark and his ex-wife Annabelle thrown together on another mission which forces them to confront what is unfinished business between them makes for exciting reading.

Where the book falls down is the overload of resolution in the final chapters between about three storylines which is rushed and the facts become a lit

What a story! Dawson took me on an adventure alongside her characters. The suspense shone through while the love between the characters was impossible to miss. Dawson’s writing throws you right into the fray with her characters, giving you the full impact of this fast paced, suspenseful, yet overwhelmingly emotional tale. It’s definitely a fantastic addition to an already great series.

The dynamic between Mark and Annabelle was unforgettable. I love how easily they fit together even if they wante

Great who-done-it/reunion romance. Mark and Annabelle were great together and the chemistry between them was smokin'!

Really enjoyed this one and am thrilled to know John Callahan will get his book in her new series under the Emily March pen name! I was worried.
I really liked this book 4.5 stars, but GR wont let us rate 1/2 a star...

Great suspense, great chemistry between the characters. Very good read.

Thanks Kim for recommending

Overall reaction to this book:

WTF final chapter and WTF overall suspense.

*** mega spoilers ***

The MCs are supposed to be these super trained, cartoon like superhero/superheroine, yet neither could see what poor little untrained (and against any glorification of militarism) me could see a mile off, that the 'gallery girl' was a fake, who had 'suspect' written all over her in bold, fluorescent print. It took two dead bodies, bloody footprints on the floor leading up to 'gallery girl' (being shot

3 stars: Fast paced mystery suspense thriller with some romance

We met Mark Callahan in the earlier books in the series. He is one of the Callahan brothers, sons of Branch, and a former military squad leader. We learned in a previous book that he had been secretly married and his wife had his baby, but they were killed. In this book, we learn that he secretly married again to Anabelle, a former squad member but that they are estranged. They work together to track down a killer targeting their squ
Absolutely fabulous last installment of the trilogy with emotionally-wounded Mark. The heroine is great - a feisty, smart ex-military, who, at the end of the day, just wants a family. There are so many great twists in this story that it just gripped me.

One thing I've really enjoyed about this trilogy is that, yes, the hero/heroine combinations are all specimens of physical perfection but their characters are so well drawn that you get sucked in. None of the heroines are particularly sympatheti

Oh the messes those Callahan Brothers find themselves in. This was another great read by Emily March. She just never disappoints. She knows how to balance adventure, humor, romance and solid, great characters. The storyline never fails to keep you turning the pages. Mark really was touching. You see him deal with his past and deal with the issues he has with his Father. Also him and Annabelle are perfect for each other. She was fits into that crazy family like a glove. Thank you Emily for a grea ...more

I really enjoyed this novel. I did a lot of crying and a lot of being just a little scared. I loved how the whole family unit worked together to save a daughter of someone who worked for them. And to have a couple who belonged together get back together after thinking that he didn't want to be a parent again and she did. And to make sure that his sister-in-law makes it to the hospital. And having son and father make amends after many years. I would recommend this series to all of my friends. I w ...more
Another fun read from Geralyn Dawson. It's a bit of a cliffhanger, however, and she didn't write the fourth book. I recently read that she is writing under a different pen name, Emily March, and has a continuation of sorts due out in Jan 2011. She said she changed her pen name because she's completely changed her style of writing. So the fourth Callahan book isn't a romantic suspense. I'd love to see the story completely tied up, but I guess we'll wait until next year for that!
4.5 stars. Great story, loved the relationship between Annabelle and Mark. It was great. Unfortunately, I had not read the others in the series, but the book had me so hooked by the time I realised it was part of a series, I just wanted to carry on reading.

Now I will give it a little time, and then I will go and read the rest of the series.

Reread and still a 4.5 star read

Started it today, finished it today! WOW! I loved the heroine of this novel, she was so cool--strong,yet not overpoweringly so. She was allowed to be every inch as Alpha as the hero, and I loved every bit of it!

Talk about a shocking cliff hanger ending!

I recommend this series to fans of Nora, and Julie Garwood's Buchanan brothers.

I have loved the previous audiobooks in this series and this one did not disappoint. A series, based on the Callahan brothers. Brothers that not only have a strong bond , but they also share their dislike of their Father.
Now each of them has served their country and are respectable men.
This is Mark’s story . He was in the military and when a member of his unit dies, the surviving ones attend the funeral. That includes Annabelle who has a history with Mark. At the funeral they realize that the

*I received a free Audible copy of this book in return for an honest review.

I enjoyed this audio book very much. Mark's story is full of intrigue, a few murders, and did I mention a secret wife and a shocking ending?

Someone is killing off Mark's team. He has to team up with his estranged wife Annabelle to find out who and why. Along the way we finally learn the story of why Mark won't forgive his father, Branch. It dates back to Mark's first marriage and his wife and daughter who were killed by

A step up

I loved Emily March's books from when she wrote under the name of Geralyn Dawson and the town was called Cedar Dell.
This book is more high-powered, with more death and destruction than the previous Callahan Brothers. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and the last page was a real cliffhanger of an ending. Everything we thought we knew turns out not to be true. I just hope I can wait until I get to the next book in the series.

First time with this author. For the most part this was an entertaining book. The super macho men was IMO a little overdrawn. But nice cotton candy.

Mark Callahan . . . is one hard-headed hero
Annabelle . . . is one kick-ass heroine

What a way to end the Callahan trilogy . . . with the mother of all cliff hangers!

While I have (major) issues with Mark, and how he's dealt with a lot of crap from dad . . . I sort of get it. Perceived wrongs, and the ability to hold grudges goes a long way with this brother. (view spoiler)
We learned at the end of the previous book in this series that the hero of this book resents his father more than his brothers because he not only blames dad for the death of a 4th brother, but for the death of his wife and baby. At the beginning of this book, we discover that the dead wife is not the only wife he ever had. He walks into an op he and his brothers are running against the bad guy he blames for killing their dead brother, and runs smack into his ex-wife, the one who divorced him on ...more
