There's danger in the beauty...

Two years, six months, and twenty-five days. That's how long it had been since I'd seen my winged hero— not that I'd been counting. I'd suffered through years of counseling just to convince my friends and family that I wasn't crazy and knew he didn't exist.

But he did. And I was done waiting.

Days after college graduation I headed back down to

The Allures were very interesting. Love that this series always brings something new to the paranormal genre. It took forever for Daisy and Owen to meet up but it was worth the wait. I had a feeling I knew what was happening with Daisy and the Allures. I hope Owen can help her!

What a great start to this series! Lure picks up about 2 years after Seduction's Kiss left off. Daisy has been searching for Owen since they were separated. Her friends have no memory of what happen in New Orleans 2 years ago. She's tried to explain what happened, but no one believes her. She's even suffered through counseling to prove that she hasn't lost her mind. Just days after Daisy has finished with college, she leaves her normal, mundane life and heads off to New O

There is also a prequel novella out that is FREE on amazon, called Seduction's Kiss that is a great introduction to the series. I would 100% recommend reading Seduction's Kiss first. Now, a note on the name. This makes the book sound way crazier than it is. Seduction's Kiss is a magic lotion that was given to the main ...more

I could probably like this book more if I actually believed they feel something close to love for each other, all I could see between them was lust and that made the parts where they talk about love completely ridiculous.
I don't know what makes them think that after just a kiss two and a half years ago they can say they know each other, when practically the only thing they do when they are together is kiss.
I liked the book, it was a quick read and I didn't want to stop, and what I mean about lik

I'm not really feeling review writing at the moment, so here it is in a nutshell: Lure was quite an entertaining start to a series and I was here for the chemistry. The plot fell a little flat - I expected way more emotion than I actually got - but wasn't bad. The writing needed a little tweaking - not for anything major, mostly misuse of homonyms. The your/you're thing made me cringe, like it does every single time. ...more

That was kind of an odd mess with twists. Main character was pretty childish and kind of whiny. No real connection to them or their development(or lack there of).

I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review, I was in no way compensated for this review.

If I haven't made it official yet, let me state it now: Alyssa Rose Ivy is my FAVORITE Paranormal New Adult author of all time!! I LOVE her series; The Crescent Chronicles, The Empire Chronicles, The Dire Wolves Chronicles, and now I can add The Allure Chronicles! I just LOVE this world she's created! That all four of these series are in the same universe is even more fun because the

Lure was an interesting start to a promising story. Although I couldn't fully get behind the characters and their actions, I did like the supernatural side of things. It was unique and refreshing.

About 2.5 years after the events of Seduction's Kiss, Daisy's finally back in New Orleans. She felt a connection to her winged rescuer then and now she's determined to prove it to herself. People thought she was insane but let me tell you something, she wasn't insane 2.5 years ago. What she did to find
I received Lure in return for an honest review from the author. Two and a half years have passed since Daisy last saw Owen but she hasn’t forgotten him or his wings and she’s determined to find him again. She’s had to bid her time and attempt to pretend that she’s normal that the therapy is helping that it wasn’t real what happened in New Orleans but she knows the truth. Now that the chance has come to return for New Orleans for a job interview Daisy can begin planning even meeting up with her f ...more

Alyssa Rose Ivy just made Lure my favorite series yet, and the ending left me dying for more of Owen and Daisy’s story. I have been very patiently waiting for Alyssa Rose Ivy to write Owen’s story, and I love how each of the characters of the Crescent Chronicles is getting their own love story. It is so much fun watching how each of Alyssa Rose Ivy’s paranormal series interconnect in so many ways, and you always get new viewpoints of your favorite characters.

I have to say that Daisy is far too

Lure (The Allure Chronicles #1) by Alyssa Rose Ivy Over two years ago Daisy Wolford was rescued from vampires by Owen, a paranormal being with black wings. I think Levi might have some competition Owen he's kinda stealing my heart, well actually all of the Pteron boys have a little piece of my heart some more than others. Owen he's quite the one to ask many questions when the subject catches his interest, "Daisy?" My body froze at the mention of her name. "Where did you see her? What was she doing?" Was it possible after two years she was looking for me?" I liked how he went back to stuttering like a teenager when his woman was in the room, "yeah. ...more

WOW. What can I say? When I first started the series I totally thought it was about VAMPS which I hate, but loved how it was written in Seduction's Kiss.

Daisy, has graduated college and we find that she has NOT been able to get Owen off her mind. I mean who could blame her after the way that kiss was described lol. She embarks on a mission to head back to the Crescent City to find Owen and "thank him" for saving her life. During her return she comes into contact with a few "paranormals" that wil

When I read Seduction's Kiss, the prequel novella to Lure, I was intrigued and excited for Lure to come out. Things do get a bit more complicated here in Lure, and we get introduced to quite a few new characters.

I do have to say, I was a bit wary of the decisions Daisy made here in Lure, though if she hadn't made them as she did she wouldn't have gotten very far. The introduction of Violet, Hugh and Roland as Allures put me on alert as I wasn't quite sure what to make of them at first. They cont

I’ve got to be honest, Lure is really, really difficult to review; there is so much going on within the plot aside from the romance. There are a number of mysteries to solve yet not a lot of revelations at this point. Lure occurs two and a half years after the events in Seductions Kiss.

It was amazing to actually get Owen’s perspective in this story, although the main part of the narrative is still told from Daisy’s point of view. The reader only uncovers the plot threads at the same time as

I wasn't sure what the Allures were at first, but as I learned more about them they intrigued me. I kinda knew what was going on with Daisy, but I didn't really know what it meant for her until closer to the end, when we get thrown some small surprises. It looks like Owen and Daisy have a long road ahead of them, and I can't wait to read more about their journey.

"I can still feel his hands, his lips. Hear his voice. It's like he seeped into my soul."

It's been 2 1/2 years since Daisy and Owen's encounter in Seduction's Kiss. They tell us time heals all wounds. But Daisy hasn't forgotten that fateful night...or the Pteron who rescued her. She's waited long enough, suffered through enough counseling, and heard enough parental lectures on the subject. She's tired of waiting and

When traveling to NOLA with her friend Reyna, Daisy discovers the existence of a different world; A world that only existed in books and movies.

New Orleans was as effervescent as ever. And while Reyna had fun with her former boyfriend, Daisy would go out to explore the city and try to avoid Reyna's boyfriend roommate.
She is invited to go to a bar and ends up falling into the trap of vampires. She would be the main meal of the evening.

Daisy is saved by a man she had seen earlier at the party, but

I really wanted to like this book. I just couldn’t get to the point where I liked the main characters, Daisy & Owen, or the secondary characters, the Allures. It was hard to fathom the chemistry between Owen & Daisy as being actual “Love” instead of just physical lust. I felt annoyed with the whole Allure thing & their attitudes. I was also annoyed that Owen could mope about Daisy for so long without trying to figure out something. This really did not make me want to continue to read the next bo ...more

More than Weres are out there. Immortals are real. Not vampires but true immortals. Something that is learned in one night all because of a witch and a vampire. Something Daisy never expected when she accompanied her friend REYNA to New Orleans.
My first book by this author I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. There are secrets and mysteries that are explained. Somewhat, but it does keep a reader hooked.
I look forward to reading more from this author.
