This certainly helped understand Joyce's book. His work can at times go over your head so this helps a lot. The final story "The Dead" is worth it at the end. It's was a let down that the book seemed to finally hit it's groove and then it ends. I definitely recommend this to whom may have a hard time understanding Joyce's work.

It sure provided some in-depth analysis of the book, that James Joyce may or may not agree with. But, my problem still is, between the face value of the book and the depth behind it, the desire to dig through is lacked.
