Regulators MC Series, Book #3

Loosely attached to Chelsea Camaron's Hellions Series and Jessie Lane's Ex Ops Series.

She is the everyday girl next-door.

He is shadowed by regret laced in broken memories.

Dark sins of the past have a way of taking hold of your heart and never letting go.

Paisley Asher is the average woman trying to get by in life. Happy and safe in her bubble of ease, she is not prepared to take on the black pit that is one man’s heart.

Trevor ‘Coal’ Blake has a past covered in black. Tainted. He is a dark soul.

In the moment, it is easy to lose sight of what is going on. Looking back, however, little cues were misread … or were they? He lives with more questions than answers.

Chance encounters bring these two together. Is she the angel to pull him from the depths of his personal hell, or is he destined to remain alone and as black as coal?

Quirky is definitely the theme through out this book. Who knew you could both laugh your ass off at the kooky heroine while being grossed out on how a killer named Cook kills his victims.

This was kinda a crazy book but it worked. We finally get Trever “Coal” Blakes story and see what made him into such a dark person who hasn't had a relationship since high school and only pays for sex. I've read some had a hard time seeing his woman being an aurora reading, clean living quirky vegan. I thought she was perfect for his moody self. Just what he needed to get his head out of his butt and realize even though he tries to pretend he is an emotionless alpha man he has a huge soft heart when it comes to women in distress and Paisley is unlike any woman he has met before.

Story was a tiny bit disjointed between the budding relationship, a killer the team has to track down and a stalker Paisley has picked up but easily over looked as I love the characters in this series. The ending made it seem like this was the last book and if it is I'm happy where all three couples were at the end.

3.5 Coal's story, yay!

my initial reaction

While I was reading the first book in this series, I was thinking about Coal's story.
I'm the first to admit it was a bit of a disappointment. Not because of him (he is absolutely wonderful), but I didn't really like the female character.

Even more, the plot was a bit rushed. Cook's part and the weird gym guy (forgot his name, sorry) went way too fast, didn't actually get to feel them.

This is the reason GR needs a .5 star rating system!
It was better than a 3-star but not really a 4-star, gah! Annoying...

Anyway, Coal saved this story. And the writing was pretty good, I have to check this author out.

UPDATE:2018 (minus 1 star + quotes)
-------------

-----------
Like the heroine and the way her face life and fight against depression taking a more natural life and respecting the environment.
I was very curious about the motives of the hero by living a life dedicated to the Club and his missions feeling unworthy of love. In spite of his actions being a person with a good heart and worthy of being loved.
I love a good barbecue and I confess that in the middle of reading I almost turned vegetarian. Almost...
I loved reading and as always the authors have written very well.
Recommend the whole series.

“Or maybe, Coal, this is about finding what makes you combust so you can use your energies for fuel instead of staying in your hard form, all locked up tight.”

“Man, are you high? I fuckin’ pay for pussy just to get my rocks off. Why in the hell would I ever tie myself to a woman like that?”

“We’re even. Now, stop looking into me. Stop following me. And please, stop trying to feed me. I’m gonna leave and have the biggest, greasiest cheeseburger I can find. Not trying to be a dick and not trying to hurt your feelings, but I can’t eat like this.”

“I can’t remember the last time I was with a woman and didn’t pay for her company.” “I’m happy to loosen you up, Coal,” she flirts.

“Trevor, have I mentioned how flexible yoga can make someone?”

For a man who’s spent years living in a hell of his own making, this piece of heaven is too sweet to let go of.

Coal is the third book in the Regulators MC by Chelsea Camaron. It was well written and told in the dual POV from both Coal and Paisley.

Trevor "Coal" Blake. He was tough, sexy, cautious and guarded; yet, big hearted towards those he cared about.

Paisley Asher. She was simplistic, quirky, an environmentalist and focused on positive energy and light for all those around her.

The storyline provided an interesting perspective and not the normal verbiage. Through Paisley, Camaron discussed balancing chi, a positive aura and all things that are good both for the human body and the environment. It was definitely not the typical MC lifestyle.

True to the series, there was suspense and mystery within the MC; albeit, this one was pretty disturbing and graphic. However, it was also a little confusing and hard to follow at one point, even after it was explained. I felt it needed just a little more development, but was still entertaining and enjoyable.

Much to my pleasure, Camaron included the strong cast of supporting characters from the previous books in the series. It was great to experience their continued growth and development.

There is more that can be done with this series so although there wasn't mention of anything yet, I'm hopeful we'll see something in the near future.

Coal and Paisley !

Lets start off by saying this is new author to us and we enjoyed reading their latest installment in their MC Romance series.I loved reading MC Romances so we are always looking to add to our current book collection.

I did enjoy this story.I found the characters to be like-able as well as engaging. The story dabbles in the current problems arising in the MC and how the members are dealing with them. Each member's different personality blended into the story making it a fun read.Although I liked the two main characters a lot Pixie ( Paisley's nick name) and Coal I just couldn't imagine them as a couple. There was a lot of things that I liked about each character but, they were total opposites .I like a story when the character's are totally different and they seem to make it work and sometimes it even works to their advantage.Pixie is a Vegan and lives a clean life in mind and spirit as well as health. She needs balance in her life just to focus and to be happy.Coal is tall dark dangerous as well as having a troubled past. He lives life on the edge and is in danger because of the life he leads yet he is attracted to a sweet an innocent. His polar opposite.I just couldn't see a relationship going anywhere for this couple from the very beginning.

I loved how Paisley was always happy upbeat and determined. She was kind and quite love-able.I liked how she was with her friends who were also her polar opposite but seem to make their friendships work.I like how she was willing to take chances within reason. She was just an adorable character who just tried to make all those around her happy as well.I loved that about her.I also loved how she was always giving herself pep talks they made me laugh.

I loved Coal with his good deeds.I loved how he took his troubled past and tried to make a difference to those women in need. I love how he loved his friends and the loyalty he showed them.I enjoyed seeing him squirm fighting his attraction toward Paisley. It was too funny .I chuckled more then once.I loved how Trevor's (Coal) reasons for not getting involved with Pixie had nothing to do with her lifestyle choices they were personal ones.Coal even started eating slightly better by being with Paisley. It happened gradually without him even realizing he was making better choices in general.I loved that omg moment when he realizes he was giving up meat! Too funny!

This was a light fun read.I enjoyed getting to know the character's and I am looking forward to picking up the other stories in its series.I enjoy the other character's as well their different personalties blended into the story adding humor to it.

Although this couple had chemistry It lacked heat and fire.I missed the sizzle I guess you could say that this couple could have brought to the pages.Paisley would have been a willing partner in that area. She was a tad adventurous ...

We are giving this story 4 stars.I am hoping to read more of these authors stories in this series in the near future and get to know the rest of the character's and their stories.

Love Coal!!

I mean who wouldn't love a bad ass biker with a huge heart even if he thinks his is black a coal.

One bad moment in time can change the course of your life. It can change how you view yourself and the world. That one moment in Coal's life tainted him, it changed him and it blackened his soul. It left him with questions about himself and his past. It left him thinking he wasn't good, that he didn't deserve good. My heart hurt for him.

Paisley endured tragedy at a young age and she found some clever ways to help herself cope and heal. Those new found ways made her into the unique little spitfire she is. I adored how quirky and gentle she is.

After a little “bump” that lead to their paths crossing Coal has finally met his match.
Can Paisley be the light which pulls him from the dark or will Coal dim Paisley's light and plunge her back into the darkness?

After reading the first two books in this series and seeing how dark Coal is, I was excited to get his book but I was so disappointed.

I like getting his back story and why he insists upon paying for sex, but Paisley got on my nerves. She seemed so immature and her 'vibes' she was feeling and cleansing her aura was not the type of woman I pictured for Coal. I felt like when he met her, he softened up and became a different man, but not the one I was hoping.

I still wanted his badass self to come through even when he found his woman and that fell flat for me. I understand they are complete opposites but I didn't feel like they were compatible and I just wanted more.

Chelsea Camaron and Jessie Lane are a dream team when it comes to writing. This may be my first book by them as a writing duo, but man they have hooked me for more in the future. And while I'm not a huge fan of motorcycle club romances... these ladies made it work for me in the best kinds of ways possible.

Coal was a fast, sexy, intense, suspenseful book that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time I read this story. Paisley and Trevor's journey was so good... complex, intriguing, and entertaining. These two sucked me sucked me in right from the start and I enjoyed every moment i got lost between their pages.

Starting from the beginning, Coal is a man who will draw you in and have you right beside him rooting... wanting Paisley to break light into his dark world. And Paisley... she's one of those girls you seriously can't help but girl crush hard on. And together, these two were brilliant.

Coal is the third book in the Regulators MC Series but can be read as a standalone though it's recommended to read this books in order.

I highly recommend this book.

This is a good read with an very interesting and quirky lead female whom I loved. Of course I loved Coal but Paisley just made this book.

The book starts with us being introduced to Coal as a teenager. When his world comes crashing down his military father does what he is asked in order to get his son away from the problem. His parents were never really sure their son was innocent leaving Coal to not go back home. Forward to present time and Coal has a dark heart and rightly so. He questions the past and would love to have answers to the black that plagues him.

Paisley bumps into Coal on the road -- literally with her "green" car right into the back of his Harley. In order for her balance to be right again and their bad karma to not intertwine she makes it a point to find out more about Coal and set her center straight.

These two were hilarious yet Coal .. I wanted to smack him upside the head for some of his comments. You see this story unfold wrapped around a killer who has a very disturbing way of making sure his targets are dead. EKKKK .. not for the faint of heart.

Coal and the boys of the MC are all former military and work for the GOVT so they aren't the normal MC. Love the preface of this MC and what they stand for. You also get in touch with previous characters but don't have to read the previous books to know or appreciate the book. However if you enjoy this release I encourage you to pick up the others.

Thank you for the ARC! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

This is the third part of the Regulators MC series, and this series just keeps getting better and better! We know from the previous books that Coal has some... issues with trust and women, and we finally get to find out why. As VP for the Regulators, Coal has seen and done some really crazy stuff, but he has definitely met his match in Paisley.

Paisley meets Coal after she runs into him, like literally with her car, and even though Coal is perfectly ok, she still feels the need to make things right. Paisley has a unique way of looking at things, and believes in energy and all that type of stuff (very crunchy granola type). Coal can't seem to get Paisley out of his thoughts, between the constant running into each other, and finding out that she is besties with Morgan and Des, she is always there somewhere. When the Regulators current case hits very close to home, will Coal realize that maybe there is more to life than what he has been doing?

I loved everything about Coal's story! The drama, the violence, the sexy times! Paisley and her healthy lifestyle had me cracking up. We got to catch up with Des & Hammer, and Ice & Morgan and see what was going on with them. I really hope this isn't it for the series, I want more from the Regulators MC! I give this 5 stars.

Trevor "Coal" Blake is one H.O.T. biker man that is the true definition of dirty-talker. He is dark and mysterious with a side of danger. Fighting his own inner demons and a lifetime of turmoil over a incident from his youth.

description

Paisley aka Pixie endures tragedy at a young age, and learns to deal and cope in some very unique ways. Some may consider her quirky but she owns her choices and tries to right wrongs. I adored her character and enjoyed reading her ways of handling situations that we may take for granted in life. She knows who she is and she owns it with a smile on her face and tries to be the light to others' dark.

Coal just may have met his match in 'Pixie' - now let's see how hot the fires will burn, because when you burn coal - the embers are super H.O.T. and last a LONG time!

Pixie and Coal have an undeniable chemistry that will burn for a long time!

This isn't my favourite read by Chelsea Camaron, I have to admit. I LOVED Coal but I found Paisley drove me insane. I didn't like her one bit; stalker, too nosy, annoying (in a bad way) and an all round pain in the ass. I found her chapters frustrating to read and had to keep stopping to read because she made me angry a fair bit. But I loved Coal's chapters!! He's one of those characters that will stick with you, even though his choice of women is a little questionable.

I found there to be a few inconsistencies in the story that didn't make sense and that some of it was a tad rushed as well as loads of different things happening at once that I found I couldn't keep up.

I'm gutted I didn't enjoy this as much as I was hoping, but that's not to say that I didn't like it at all. I just didn't like Paisley.

Coal is the third book in the Regulators MC series and while you can read it as a standalone I would suggest reading the other books first so you know some of the other characters and history. This review is a hard one to write and rate. On one hand I liked the different direction Ms. Camaron & Ms. Lane took the main characters and when I say opposites attract I mean just that but on the other hand I also think it was a bit overboard at times, mainly with Paisley or Pixie as Coal calls her character. I don’t know if this one worked totally for me or not, I liked it, I liked the suspense and action in the story even if at times it was upsetting but I don’t know if everything worked as well as it could have.

A single moment in time, one action, inaction, words said or left unsaid all have consequences, it is what you do with your life after this is what counts. It makes you who you are but you don’t always have to let it define you. Coal allowed it to change him, to harden him. He thinks he no longer has a good side to him, and I hated that he feels that way but when you read why your heart not only breaks but you want to cut a bitch at the same time. Paisley also has gone through her own pains and it changes her in different ways. In extreme ways, now I have friends who are all about clean eating and chakras and stuff and I believe in Karma big time but she is the full extreme when it comes to these things and after a while I honestly wanted to shove a hamburger down her throat and make her eat it. I’m sorry but that’s how I felt, sigh I may be going a bit overboard but besides that part of her I did like Paisley, or as Coal calls her his Pixie.

While there are parts of Coal that worked for me and parts that didn’t I did enjoy this one overall, just as not as much as I originally hoped but I do plan on continuing with the series.

This is the third book in the Regulators MC series by these two authors. We have seen glimpses of "Coal" through the first two books. As the clubs VP, we have seen him handle some pretty tough situations. He also has some well known but different ideas about the women he hooks up with.

This book brings us his heart wrenching back story. All the pieces finally fall into place. Bottom line, he doesn't feel worthy to have a relationship with any one ever again. Then he literally gets bumped into by sweet and quirky Paisley. Her earthiness and chakra loving self will not let him go without righting what she wronged. Of course, he thinks she is crazy. But then finds out she is friends with his best friends ol' ladies and he agrees to let her cook dinner for him.

Paisley needs to fix Coal's dark aura. She is sure that she caused this. Her own life is turned upside down trying to figure out this man. What happens along the way, is that the two of them become friends. Coal opens up to her. She opens up to him. they both seek out the forgiveness and acceptance that will let them move forward.

Loved all the scenes with the friends. It added some humor to a story with lots of gruesome facts loaded in it. I also continue to love the mission behind this MC. Love it when the good guys come out on top!

Looking forward to more by these two authors!

I never thought I'd be a fan of MC romance but after reading Beth Flynn's Nine Minutes trilogy I have been on the hunt for more of the MC genre. Coal was an awesome read for me and one of few I've taken a chance on. I will definitely be reading more of the Regulators series!

Paisley "Pixie" Asher is as quirky as they come. I constantly found myself shaking my head and laughing at her methods but if it works for her who are we to judge. Despite her quirks she is a very lovable character and I couldn't find a thing to dislike about her. She is a strong and sure woman. Pixie doesn't let the past dictate her future and that makes her a true leading lady.

Trevor "Coal" Blake is a man that lets his past dictate his future and it keeps him cut off from a life he deserves. He's a tall mean looking bald with a sexy beard. Coal is a man that would intimidate the baddest of the bad and boy does he in this one! I love how he feels the need to help anyone in need despite his bad boy exterior. You get the best of both worlds with Coal. I can promise you will swoon over this sexy bearded biker!

You do not have to read the other books to enjoy this one. It's nice to if you want to be familiar with the background characters that support Coal and Pixie. I hadn't read them myself but I will be finding the time to read the first two soon.

If you enjoy sexy bikers and strong leading ladies this is absolutely the MC read for you! GET IT NOW! I'm serious!!

I thought this was a interesting MC read it would also be the first book I'm reading by Chelsea Camaron and I must say I really want to read Ice and Hammers stories , from experience I would suggest reading those before it seems Like it would have been even more enjoyable . The two main characters were perfect for one another they really balanced the other out witch I thought was pretty amazing with Paisley being a pixie short , hippie like , believing in eating healthy veggie organic and taking care of herself and Coal being a giant , meat eating hot biker . They have their own brand of quirks that were cute and adorable and unique .The secondary characters were super funny and you could fell the brotherhood that the brothers had and then the sisterly love that the girls shared . There is also some darkness that left be a little sad and wonder how someone is capable of doing that . After reading this is also motivated me into eating more healthy ,meditating and doing yoga so thank you Chelsea Camaron .

Coal by Chelsea and Jessie
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
AHHH Coal. Tall. Dark. Dangerous. Those are words to describes the man who “only pays for pussy”!! The book starts right off explaining what happened to Coal to make him so damn hard. The poor guy…
Paisley is…well….hilarious. Quirky. Kind. Giving. She is the light in the world. Her scenes were killing me. When she comes at Coal, he has no idea what hits him. The little Pixie knocks him off his axis in a good and much needed way.
The two meet by a chance encounter when Paisley hits Coals motorcycle. Being the Quirky character that she is, she needs to make it right in her karma world. Coal has no idea what to make of this fiery female but he can’t stop thinking about her. Their dinner date=The funniest shit I have read in a long time.
No matter what is going on in their lives the pull they have to one another is full on. The physical draw is amazing to read on paper and super fun to see come to life. Coal needs to face his past but he doesn’t think there is anything good that can come of it. Paisley is so sure that this man is the good she needs and the balance she desires, she will do anything to make his center corrected too.
The side plot of the bad guy who the Regulators are investigating was GROSSSSSS…lets just say I dunno that I will be eating a pulled pork sandwich for a long long looooong while. I may pick up Paisley’s vegan diet plan!
The last few chapters I LOVED!! IT tied up all the guys and their ol’ ladies. We can see the Regulator MC’s futures and they look very happy.

After getting to know Coal and Paisley I was trying to figure out how the authors were going to pull these two off together as a couple as they're opposites in most things.

When Paisley bumped into Coal she has been off balance and she needed to make it right. Coal felt that she didn't need to, no harm, no foul but the world kept throwing them together. When they do spend time together and actually start to talk you can feel the chemistry between these two. Coal was perfectly fine the way his life was before her but he started actually liking her and he wasn't used to that.

These two together shouldn't work as a couple but they bring out the best in each other, you can feel their love and you just root for them to get all their secrets out so they can start their life together. Will the secrets be too much for one of them? Will it make them turn their back and walk away?

Loved this book and can't wait to read the next one in the series!!!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and oh man this series just gets better with each new book. I love Coal in all his dark glory, secrets sometimes are not meant to be hidden, truths that should have been told a long time ago can make or break someone and with Coal its his past that shaped him into the man he is now. I will be honest though I could not relate to Paisley at all, she drove me nuts. That did not affect my rating though, sometimes I cannot relate to one character regardless of whether or not they are a main or secondary character. But its not an individual character that makes the story its the whole cast and their individual roles. Chelsea and Jessie are a brilliant team and I can't wait for the next in the series.

I loved Coal from Chelsea Camaron and Jessie Lake! When Paisley bumps into Coal's world nithers life will ever be the same. Trevor "Coal" Blake has been living his life with no attachments besides his family in the Regulators MC, but all that changes when Paisley bumps his motorcycle. Paisley is a woman in touch with her environment, keeping a balance in her aura and chi, is careful what she puts into her body, kind of a hippie in her own way. These two couldn't be more different and yet it works for them, at least when Coal gives into how he feels instead of shutting it down. Trying to figure out what is going on between them should be the hardest part, but with danger coming for the Regulators MC, Paisley with her own weird vibe and ghosts from Coal's past it will add their own complications to their budding relationship. I loved reading Coal and Paisley's story! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This is the third book in the amazing Regulators series, and in my opinion, each book just keep getting better and better. Coal is a sexy patched in member, who has secrets which keep him from having relationships. Paisley is all about eating organic, and keeping herself healthy. These two are such an unlikely couple, but they work great together.
This is a dark, gritty, sexy, read, and the collaboration between these two authors is fantastic. I cannot wait to read more from them. I recommend these authors to all MC lovers.

Coal and Paisley complete opposites, but yet are so right for each other.
Coal has a dark past that he carries for a very long time. Things happened to him, or so he thought. His dark overshadows the good he does, but one lucky person pointing it out makes him think.
A chance or should I say a “bump” brings Paisley into his life. Paisley accidently bumps Coal’s bike with her car, and she has to right this to keep her balance in life. Coal being Coal won’t let her do that easily. That doesn’t stop Paisley at all she just keeps trying. This ends up making Coal think of her more often than he would like. She ends up getting under his skin in more than one way.
She ends up being his light to his dark, and gives an amazing love story that Coal deserves.
You still get some Ice, Morgan, Hammer, and Des throughout this book. Having them still part of the book makes it even more amazing!
Coal is worth more than 5 five stars! I can’t wait to see what’s next in the Regulators MC series!

This was my first book by this duo. I'm a die hard Chelsea Cameron fan. I absolutely they did an amazing job. They took two totally different personalities and made it work. For these characters opposites really do attract. I have to admit I wasn't sure how these characters were going to work out. All's it takes is finding that one person to be your light that can chase away your demons. I can't wait to catch up on the rest of the series and see what else these ladies have in store.

I enjoyed the first two books in this series and was really looking forward to the story about Coal and his background. I hate to say it but this book was boring to me. The h is a small "pixie" woman on the nerdy side who is 100% vegan, organic, soul and body cleansing, negative/positive aura extremist. I mean really OTT. I read more things about natural foods, natural remedies and just natural cleansing of the spirit and body that I've ever read on a website devoted to that topic. Coal's deep dark secret that made him only sleep with prostitutes was lame, at the least. From the reviews I have read there were a lot of readers who enjoyed the book but I was very disappointed.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
I have been waiting for the mysterious Coal’s story. He is quiet, dark and mysterious what can I say I have been drawn to him from day one. He is one you don’t want to mess with or make mad. Then we have Paisley…oh sweet Paisley…she is the polar opposite of Coal. BUUUUTTTT you know what they say about opposites. I absolutely loved these two watching Coal fight all that he knows and seeing Paisley well just being Paisley.
We know Coal is tough, hard, and dark so let me tell you about Paisley. Paisley is pure flower child. She is all natural, organic, vegan. Paisley grows what food she can in a plastic pool on her patio, makes her own wine, and is big on keeping herself centered and in balance. …Get the picture. So if Coal is tough, hard and dark Paisley is calm, soft and light.
The day Paisley meets Coal or should I say “bumps” into Coal literally her world is shifted off center and it is all she can do to make sure she shifts it back. How is she going to do that you ask? Well she has to do something nice for Coal…aww right…yeah no…Coal is having no part of that but little miss Paisley is persistent. Paisley finally got him to agree to allow her to fix him dinner. This was too funny remember Paisley = vegan and Coal = will eat anything that doesn’t eat him…..oh yeah made for an interesting dinner. There were so many funny quirky scenes with Paisley I was cracking up. These two are truly yen and yang they fit together so well but you would never guess it.
Coal has a past that he has to face but refuses to. Paisley is on the case she is going to help him…uh Paisley do you realize who you are dealing with….oh that’s right no you don’t. Well she soon finds out when she is caught searching his name on the web….woopsie. But will that stop her from meddling? Guess you will have to read and find out.
I do have to say Coal summed it up best when he said “Whoever would have thought that a biker and a vegan flower child would be a match made I heaven?” Of all the Regulators books this is my favorite. Even though Coal thought he was hard and dark Paisley could see right through him and saw the good in him. She knew from jump she was made to be his light and didn’t give in. I loved Coal and Paisley and I enjoyed seeing Ice and Morgan and Hammer and Des. However, the ending of this was great loved the last two chapters were heartwarming and let us know everything was good in the Regulators MC world.
A few of my favorite lines:
Okay so for most people, it may not; but for me, that’s how it’ll be. The stars will align and something will happen, sending me barreling into the man of my dreams life, and instantly, there will be fireworks.
“I love you to death, but you are the craziest woman I know. Maybe a little meat in you would take the edge off?”
“Don’t look for the good here, Pixie. Coal.” I point to my name patch. “Dirty, Dark, and hard, I’m scarred, marred, and more than you need to take on.” She studies me before she slides into her driver’s seat again. “Or maybe, Coal, this is about finding what makes you combust so you can use your energies for fuel instead of staying in your hard form, all locked up tight.”
Hard, unyielding, a rock, I am coal. The lion, they always called me, left the pride many years ago before I was even a man. Instead, I have been rock hard in my tolerance of others and dealing with my past.
I see through him. Oh, yes, I see through his exterior, he deserves something good to be given back to him. His dark aura comes from an inability to let go of something deep.
I can’t help thinking, I’m going to be his light, his sunshine. I’m going to figure out what makes him tick. Watch out, Trever “Coal” Blake, I’m on a mission.
“Okay, Pixie, some things we need to get clear. I’m a man. A red-blooded, all-American man. I eat meat. I eat bread. I eat just about anything that doesn’t eat me. I appreciate you trying to make good on the little bump, but sugar, it’s done. I’m trying real hard to be nice here. I wasn’t hurt, you weren’t hurt, there wasn’t a single bit of damage. I don’t think I even have a scratch on my bike.”
The problem with my personality is that I’m curious to the point that I can sometimes be, oh dare I say, nosey. Now I have all these questions, and I can’t help wanting to know the truth.

The Pixie and Her Coal!

Once again, I was not let down by these authors and their gift to write an MC book that I would personally classify as one, a real one. This genre is not always an easy one to write because as a reader, I have read many and know the difference. MC books should be gritty, raw, emotional in all sorts of ways including ways you can't imagine but this is also romance too and there is definitely that element that ties everything together.

I can't tell you how much I loved the female main character and all her "unique" ways. Let's just say that in this book, oil and water combined perfectly and I adored it so much. Coal was the epitome of the "dark and scarred" - he had quite a story. That's why to have these 2 people come together the way they do and fall in love was so refreshing to read. It was different and I love different - I love my MC books so much but I'm always craving for the same raw MC type man and along with his "brothers" but with a different and great story line.

"As dark and mysterious as he is and wants to be, I refuse to have any darkness around me. No negative energy here. He will learn. I will give him as much light as I can muster to outshine all that murkiness he carries around." - Paisley

You get that in this! - technically you don't have to read the first 2 books and you're fine but it's always good to read them just to know the side stories when their brought up here and there but it's not too big of a deal.

Well Done!! Must Read!!
