Picked this comic at a convention. I fell in love with the adorable black kitteh the second I saw her! Overall, a very veery enjoyable read and I loved every second of it. I wasn't too satisfied with the ending because I wish there was a tad bit more, but that is nitpicking because I know everything is going to be okay~ If you come across this at a convention, I recommend picking it up!! It's absolutely adorable!!

Loved it!
My thoughts:
I'm usually not into comics. But when I was offered to read the first 6 issues of the series "Vampire Free Style" by the artist Jenika Ioffreda... I accepted as soon as I saw some examples of her great artwork. I fell in love with Micia - the little black cat right away. But see for yourself... could you resist this cutie?

That was a surprise!
I didn't know how I found out that this book existed but still... Serendipity at work, I guess.
The art took some time to get used to. I'm usually picky about drawing style and this one seemed a bit off at the beginning. But then over the pages I managed to like it a lot. A cat with a squared tail was a first, though! The settings and the dresses were fantastic, in my opinion, the character faces were a bit weird, in a good way.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A compelling story, which would appeal to teenagers and adults. Bursting with wonderful illustrations, this is a perfect combination of fantasy, magic and warm characters who draw you into the pages and hold you there. I recommend the author and the book very highly and I will definitely be looking for more of Jenika's work.

If you don't like gothic manga, romance, or if you do, VFS has forward-thinking story, deeply laid plot and well-rounded characters. Visually attentive to detail, it's undeniably cute and has an eccentric character all of it's own: quite enjoyable.
