This picture book introduces kids to what their first haircut might be like, as Sheep goes to the barber shop for the first time. The book explains what to expect, and the words and illustrations introduce different types of hairstyles and hair care tools. The book includes a link for a downloadable certificate that parents can use to celebrate their child's first haircut.

The illustrations are cute, but I felt that there were too many "baa" puns throughout. The book also went in an unexpected direction, since in addition to getting a haircut, Sheep also gets some lime green hair dye. This makes the book less useful as a concept book and preparation tool, since it can set up unrealistic expectations for toddlers whose parents don't intend to dye their hair.
