OH MY GOODNESS! SHE'S DONE IT AGAIN! COULDN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN EITHER!
Captured Love begins after the huge explosion of emotions at the ending of Captured Secret. Ty and Stella are no longer a secret due to Ty's drunken moments at Zoey and Stella's apartment. And it just so happens that all of their close friends were there to witness it, even Zoey's brother. So now that Ty has been fighting his own demons and realized what is literally standing in front of him, he may have just mad a huge mistake. Stella is crushed beyond belief at the words that came out of his mouth, but her insecurities seem to make the words even worse because she reads into their meaning even more. Stella is literally numb because she stills loves Ty and puts herself on a liquid diet because her heart is breaking. She seems to finally hit rock bottom when she finds herself in a compromising situation and is relieved to find out that nothing bad happened. Once she starts to pick up the pieces, she gets a phone call from the man she loves. He asks her for a huge favor! Does she take the risk and see what this entails?
Ultimately, she has to see how she fits into Ty's world after this mess because her best friend Zoey and Ty's best friend Pierce are in love. Thus, they have to be able to function within the same small circle of friends so she goes against her norm and agrees. Their chemistry is still there and Stella finally decides to tell Ty exactly what she thinks of their little secret. It crushes Ty to hear how she saw it and he realizes that he did that to her. He has to finally come clean about the whole thing and how he was never really honest with her or himself. He's been scared to actually embrace his feelings for her and he takes a leap of faith - much like the new tattoo he has right under his heart!
In every relationship, there is always going to be ups and downs. We finally get to see Ty and Stella happy as a couple out in public and with their friends. Ty's Nan is excited that he has an amazing girl in his life just like she always wanted for him. But there are always parts of our lives that are hard to deal with and sometimes the past comes back to haunt you! In this case, Ty has an ex-girlfriend who is hellbent on proving to him that she is changed and a mother and stepsister who are only out for themselves and draining the wallets of wealthy men. He believes its going to strain his relationship with Stella and he tries to keep her away from them. But is he really protecting her? Or putting her in more danger by keeping her from these people and situations?
As Stella and Ty develop their relationship and move forward, their career paths are starting to take shape and move forward as well. Unexpectedly, the past comes to bite them in the ass. How will Ty handle the redhead in his life? How will Stella deal with her insecurity of never being enough? Will Ty and Stella cling to one another and overcome another obstacle in their life? Will Ty trust Stella while he is gone on business trips? Will Stella trust Ty while he has to deal with his ex? How do they stay open and honest with each other and deal with their own insecurities?
Their love is tested in more than one way throughout this book. You watch the characters struggle with their past, insecurities and faults. You watch them develop the relationship as well as mature as characters throughout the situations. The emotional roller coaster hits on every stop in this book as well - love, happiness, frustration, anger, sadness, pain, etc. But these are all emotions that real couples go through because nothing is perfect - it's REAL love.
Real love is about finding that person who will compliment you as a person and who cherishes you. Real love is about taking a journey with another person to find true happiness. It is something that takes effort and dedication on a daily basis in order to be successful. There are times that will be difficult, but it is about how you handle those difficult times to see if it is real love. This is Ty and Stella's journey to real, soul-satisfying, passionate and true love.
Please take the journey with them - and be prepared to be amazed and touched by this powerful book! Thank you April Raynne!
Captured Love picked up right where Captured Secret left off. I loved Ty and Stella in the first book and couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. April Raynne did not disappoint! I am so in love with this series and these characters!!! Ty and Stella are one of my all time favorite couples. I feel like I'm able to connect with them and feel their emotions through the pages. There are some angsty parts in Captured Love and they are very well written. And there are some scorching got sex scenes too! April did a fantastic job and had me sitting on the edge of my seat more than once. This is one of those books that I wanted devour and savor at the same time. It was so good that I couldn't put it down but I didn't want it to end either. In Captured Love, Ty and Stella have to decide if they are willing to take the risk on each other. And what happens when Ty gets a blast from his past? When their relationship is put to the ultimate test will they manage to hold on to each other? Well, of course you're going to have to read it to find out! I recommend this series to anyone looking for an awesome, sexy, sweet new read. Ty Caulder is most definitely book boyfriend material! If you haven't met Ty and Stella yet, you really must! I guarantee you will not be disappointed. 5+++ star read for me!
Oh my god this is the best book I have read in a long time. This will be my first favorite book for 2015 and my forever library. This story completes the saga of Stella and Ty. We get a chance to see Stella try to deal with breaking up with Ty. She's on the road to self-destruction. She is lost and depressed and she just can't get herself together. The. We have Ty. Ty! Ty! Ty! He was just so RAW! I mean we read in other stories how alpha males have a hard time trusting women but Ty gives us the real, heart aching feelings of moving on after a betrayal. We get to see his insecurities and how those insecurities can taint everything you see and feel. And the sex. Wow he was just phenomenal. I read every lick, suck, kiss, and thrust. I did not skip a word which says a lot. I did not skip one word or page as I read this story. I'm so happy I read the second story and I hope to hear more about the rest of the characters in the book.
I read both books and flew right through them. I love the characters, they caught me from the beg. I could not put either book down, they were fast reads and they kept me interested the whole time. I am looking forward to more reads from this author.
Ty and Stella..Ty and Stella..someone needs to smack them both upside the head! I love them and their story but the things these two do to each other is frustrating! I fell in love with the hot, sex crazed Ty in book one, and Stella is just your everyday beautiful girl, that I connected to and felt like I knew how she felt a lot of the time. Just as the first book ended this book started out with them being truly madly in love but completely separated. I'm not sure if stubborn is a word I'd call either of them but someone has to give. Of course the book is titled Captured Love and for very good reason, I felt the love flying off so many pages in this story. I felt so many other emotions and was very well invested into this story and how hard Ty and Stella needed to move forward, not backward. Just as Ty and Stella feel they are on the right track life gets in the way or life stands in their way. Ty has a hard time choosing what to do, knowing in his gut it's wrong and will end badly, but with the support of Stella they decide they can get through anything, together. But what happens when they aren't together? What happens when on misunderstanding, one downcast of the eyes, one wrong misconception, turns into utter and sheer heartbreak? Can Ty and Stella really make it? I cheered for them, I got so mad at them, I really loved this story and how much April made me feel. She took me right into the story, I felt like I was there, watching their lives unfold. And I can't forget how the hot sex, oh my the hot sex just makes me blush thinking about it! Ty and Stella's love is pure and all consuming and when you read about their love making you just know it, you feel it. Amazing job April! I can't wait to read more from this fantastic author! 5 stars times 10!
4-4.5 stars. After that fall out in the last book, Ty and Stella are both on the path to self-destruction, particularly Stella. She's so hurt that she numbs herself constantly so she doesn't have to feel anything while Ty is struggling daily until he has a chance to talk to her again. And when they finally do talk, that was a great scene because of how different their perspectives and perceptions were. What was awesome about this book was getting Ty's POV and seeing him at full capacity as a guy in love. Just because two people love each other doesn't really mean much unless they also trust one another and that is their biggest battle. Ty worries that Stella will cheat on him and Stella worries that she is not enough for him. There's a pretty big complication placed right in front of them relating to Ty's job, along with some family related issues, too, so the rest of the book has quite a bit of drama and from Ty's end, it's exhausting. Their relationship is put to the ultimate test and if they can't overcome it, they jeopardize a potential future together. I liked reading about Ty's struggles, he was easier to connect and relate to and the depth of his emotions surprised me in a good way. Their journey from love to love with trust is a tough one but worthwhile.
As much as I enjoyed this, it pains me to give it three stars. I don't think it was this bad in book one or maybe I was too ignorant. However, this book needs an editing overhaul. Some of the sentences are not structured well and I found myself rereading them to make sure I had the correct meaning. Also, if I read this one sentence correctly, she had a wrong character listed in a scene. I usually don't take this as a downside, I love reading self-published books. Sometimes I wonder if writers don't use the spell check and grammar check. I just felt she was so excited for book two, that enough time wasn't taken for enough cleaning.
Other than that- great story. Ty was a bit of an asshole in book one. Got his shit together and then of course they hit another speed bump. Love Stella. I feel I don't read too many books with people like Stella. I did miss some of the charm of book one, like every one hanging out and just the great conversations.
First off, I went through a box of tissues with this set of books. Captured Love starts off where Secret ended smoothly, and it was a very slow start, but I understand that it had to be to show the true emotions of the characters. Stella & Ty are very human, with flaws and insecurities, and it makes this story so much more relatable. There were times when I wanted to slap, kiss, and high five Ty or Stella. Angst isn't my normal genre to read, but I don't regret this set one bit. In my honest opinion, April gives you a rollercoaster worth riding.
