Timing, it’s everything and lately Johnny’s time for bad news is here, troubled and heartbroken, Johnny’s girlfriend left him, and his father has gone missing and could be dead. That’s when a slightly quirky man comes into Johnny’s life and says his country needs him. As Argos divulges top secret information from the most secret of secret government agencies, called American Legends. Is this man off his rocker? He claims to be his father’s closest ally and he knows a lot about Johnny, but when h ...more

I really really loved Guns and Dogs. I loved that Tuvan tackled the issues of teen depression and suicidal thoughts. So many books shy away from these subjects even though many, many teens suffer with these problems.

Along with not having a father in his life Johnny has to deal with girlfriend problems and a budding writing career that just refuses to take off.

His saviour and mentor comes in the form of Argos better; an agent who introduces Johnny to things he never thought possible. I enjoyed se

This book reminded me of the third Men In Black movie. There was time travel, aliens, and it was packed full of twists and turns from beginning to end. I really liked the time travel aspect of this book. I thought it was so cool how their missions would overlap with important moments in time. As always, T.A. Uner did an amazing job with the action scenes. The action scenes are very vivid and I sped t

Another interesting series by the creator of the Leopard King Saga! This time dealing with time travelling and aliens, the story follows the adventures of a couple of agents from the American Legends, an agency specialized in protecting Earth from any alien threats, including keeping an eye on its timeline.
The concept brings to mind the good ol' Men In Black, which is definitely not a bad thing if you ask me. As usual the writing flows nicely, the story develops at a good pace, and the character

This book was the complete Sci-Fi package - time travel, ALIENS, high-grade weaponry, a flying car - all amazing really.
But what I really loved was how the choices made by various characters, the appearance of others, and the general flow of events made for a very interesting story, filled with unexpected turns, and sometimes make-you-want-to-reach-into-the-book-and-shake-a-character moments.
In short, I can't wait for the sequel.

This reminded me MIB with a few twists. Johnny’s life is upended between finding out that his father is missing and not dead along with his girlfriend dumping him. He is recruited by American Legions and is introduced into a world he never realized existed. This book takes you on adventure saving the timeline and preventing aliens from conquering Earth. In addition to that you have two awesome Dobermans to help save the world. This is a fast pace book that will take you on a wild ride.

First of all I just want to say this book wouldn't have taken me as long as the timeframe on my start and finish would have given it away. Unfortunately my copy was an e-book version that I had some download problems on my phone so I could only read it on y my computer and being very busy was barely ever able to get a chance to sit down with my laptop to read so thank you T.A. for your patience in my reading and reviewing this copy.

In a sense I think I enjoyed this particular book more than t

"Happiness isn’t something you pick up at the grocery store, nor is it something that comes to you at a certain age. It’s a trait that lives within all of us, and it flourishes when you begin appreciating the things in life we take for granted."

I am a sucker for time travel stories and this book just fits the bill. It is an interesting read and the author has managed to describe the characters and the story vividly. It tells the story

American Legend T.A. Uner does it again!

Once again T.A. Uner blends genres together in his first YA book and hopefully the start of a new series. Imagine a time travel version of 'Men in Black' with an unlikely american teen as a ‘Kingsman’ type protégé and you have GUNS & DOGS. Fun and subtly educational for younger readers to learn the implications of historical events on today’s society, in much the same way Back to the Future gives a hug to the 1950s. Seen through the eyes of brilliantl

This book had the feel of "Back to the Future", "Men in Black", and "Independence Day" all wrapped up into one. Car that flies, trips back into history with a twist, aliens that help and ones that will stop at nothing to destroy everything in their path, humans, and two Red Dobermans. To be able to go back and meet some very famous people would be so awesome but scary at the same time. To be able to go back and stop something from changing time as we know it would be exciting and intense. Johnny ...more

This is another great adventure from the mind of T.A. Uner. This is a story of science fiction and time travel, very well blended. The story centers around Johnny who is still in high school. His Dad is missing and presumed dead, his girlfriend has just broken up with him, and he feels his future is vey bleak. Enter a stranger seeking his help. Johnny goes with him, and ends up on the adventure of a life time. The story includes tim

I have read all the author's books and in the main have enjoyed them. My Favourite having the shlock title Kill Zombies.
Although this is a well written and well thought out story, I found it lacked something for me.
It may be that this was written as a young adult story and this is the reason I did not find it as good as his other stuff.
I am positive that the target audience will connect with the story far better than I did and will commit to the characters therein.
I wish the author luck in this

T.A. Uner has been fascinated with the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre since 1978, when as a youngster, he first watched Superman on the big screen.

He wrote his first story in the 5th grade. After an 18 year hiatus, he resumed his writing odyssey in 2003 and hasn't looked back since.
