I have to say, I don't know whether I love or hate Lola St.Vil. Her books have the power to lift you up and make you lol and a couple of pages later, your heart has stopped and you feel totally bereft. What I will say though, is never NEVER get attached to a character because absolutely no-one is safe!!!
Book 2 takes place over a period of about a week. It begins with Ruin making a startling self discovery and we learn that the Kasters have captured someone high ranking. They are willing to excha ...more

As all the other books in this series, is it a bit violent and has some "adult" content. Nevertheless, I liked this book deeply.
This was the second book in the Noru series, which comes after the Guardian series. In this book, the Kasters, or the evil team from Malakaro, an evil man found a very special person. They will kill him if a deal is not done with the Noru. Apparently, it is Rage, Silver's dad. Diana, aka Ruin, a Kaster has found love with Silver, or Ayden. Ruin is trying to convince Si ...more

No matter how much I love the guardian series I can't read this. It's so blah. It's the same book just a few words mixed around. I'm tired of authors using the same guideline for a whole series. Give me something original. Yes silver did not give up his rah but he still is being kept from the object of his affection. The love triangles , the secrets, and wanting to save people even though rio died for it in the last series.

pretty good.
laying the drama down thick but pretty good.
(spoilers)
I'm actually excited to read the next one.
I'm kinda pissed off that Aaden won't just tell Pryor what's going on. I know she'd charge like a knight in shining armor for the daughter of death... hint, hint) and take out the center, but still. the whole 'I love you but we can't be together and I can't tell you why' is kinda starting to get old.
The crap with Diana is OK I guess. but it'll get old eventually. and the crap with Bex ...more

GAH this book was filled with tension and tragedy and romance and tears I nearly died. It's exactly what I expected though, so the heartache and tears were justified. Can't wait to start the third one because this book ended on the motherload of all cliffhangers.

it's good but...
I won't waste time with a recap of the book. It's a well written story with characters you either like, dislike, or would rather have a chance to stomp on their big toe or hit upside the head. What stopped me from enjoying it completely was the age of the protagonist. She's a fourteen year-old (on the cusp of fifteen), who's the youngest of a team of Norus, as well as their leader. She also happens to be in love with one of her teammates who's older than she is. (He's slept aroun ...more

Oh the endings! I think St. Vil is trying to kill me. I'm really happy to see we got answers on what happened to Aaden. The twist with Ruin is really interesting, wondering how the rah contract will play out. The only really unfortunate thing is this series reads so much like The Guardians. Pryor has all the girl emotions and heartbreak of Emmy and the leadership decisions of Marcus. The team has a rigid member, a care free one, a wild card and teenage angst. I really hope something sets this se

Another awesome book. I love this series and read through it quite quickly. I had to hold my tong at the end though to stop myself from swearing out loud in work. But yes I loved this book and again can't wait for the next one. I don't like not knowing what's going to happen and I seem to not be the only one.

Ruin... She's something else- not sure I like her or not. Some major bombs are dropped but still a lot of unanswered questions, like what's up with Bex? What is The Center? What happened there? Who's pulling the strings? Who is on the council and withholding info? And Malakaro?

“It’s like watching your favorite movie and being afraid to get to the end. That’s because you’ve seen the movie before and you know things will go horribly wrong. I watch all the way up to the part where he lays me down and then I “rewind” the movie.”
