A sexy carjacker takes a would-be starlet for the ride of her life as a pulse-pounding new series from New York Times bestselling author Tracy Wolff begins.
Once the brains behind a car-boosting ring, Nic Medina has spent the last three years playing it straight. Now drag racers flock to his L.A. auto shop, Hotwired, for a shot at going head-to-head with the man himself. But when a crooked cop gives Nic a treacherous ultimatum—steal ten high-end cars or watch his nephew disappear into the system—he makes the only choice he can, one that puts the life he’s worked so hard for at risk. No sooner does Nic agree than he spots some nasty competition—and a gorgeous bystander in harm’s way.
A small-town girl with Hollywood dreams, Jordan Bass never expected to be swept up in a real-life drama. But that’s exactly what happens when she witnesses a violent crime. And when a smoldering stranger takes the wheel and practically kidnaps her in a desperate bid to keep her safe, she’s not sure whether to scream . . . or kiss him. Nic’s bad news—but the real bad guys aren’t above silencing a witness. On a collision course with danger, Jordan finds herself falling for the man whose street smarts are keeping her alive . . . and whose touch puts her in high gear.

I will admit that i dive in this book blind. I didn't know what i had to expect and i really didn't have much expectations... So, i started to read it with boring eyes and after 5-6 pages my eyes got round and my heart accelerated and i got so hooked that i couldn't stop reading!!!!
I loved the story very much and i liked how it turned out while i was reading.... So much adventure that had me on edge of my seat almost all the time... That book had them all. Drag racers, stolen cars, kidnapping, dirty cops, great punches and many more... It was like i was watching an intense movie on the big screen... and i fuckin' loved it!!! Tracy Wolff, i haven't read other books from you, but i will definetely do it!!! Really soon!!! And i can't wait to read the next story of the Hotwired series!!!
Well. Jordan and Nic saw each other on a drag race. But they didn't met there!!! Jordan recently had bought a car from a police auction and she needed to find someone to repair the damage in it cheaper... and there she will meet the man to do this job for her. Jordan is an ordinary girl who goes to college and that is working really hard. But she is hiding an awful past that made her sensitive toward to trusting other people. Nic from the other hand, had spent seven years in prison for busting cars and the last three years he is clean from all these shits and he is doing a damn fine job. He owns a garage for fixing racing cars with the name "Hotwired" and sometimes he is racing on drag races... But mostly he is taking care of his family and he is looking after his good friends who are working with him. He had a lot of ugly baggages upon his back too...
Jordan and Nic that night liked each other, but the circumstances kept them apart... Nic was forced to leave early from the races and in the way back home, he was blackmailed by a dirty cop who had an unhealthy obsession for him. By the way, he was the one that send him on prison back then!!! Now, Nic is forced to do whatever the asshole wants but he won't fall down without a fight!!!!
The very next day, Nic and Jordan met for once again... But the circumstances were a little bit of unusual!!!! And here goes the stolen car, the kidnapping and the fighting that i told you above!!! And from that point, everything got complicated... a lot!!! I can not tell you more, you have to find what happened by yourselves... Sorry!!!
I really liked Jordan. She was trying her best to be strong even though that deep inside she was afraid of almost everything. He had serious trusting issues with everybody and especially with men. She had an ugly past that was chasing her after three years but i will tell you that she had every right to feel that way!!! Nic manage with patience to make her open up to him and to get to trust him!!! She was a fighter and i loved the way that she stood beside Nic and his crew!!!
"It's been so long since I've felt safe. So long since I've felt cared for. I've known Nic for two days -and let's face it, we really didn't get off to the best start- and still i feel like I can trust him in a way i haven't trusted anyone in far too long."
As for Nic??? Nic's appearance could fool you. He seemed badass and wild from the outside, but he was so kind, generous and caring. He got through a lot of shits and he made some big mistakes in the past but he had changed and he was trying to offering a better life in the people that he loved. It didn't take much time for Jordan to become one of the important persons in his life and even though that he wanted to keep her out of his dangerous problems, she had got in them and the only thing that he could do was to protect her.
"I can sense the worry in him, can feel the tension radiating from every part of his body. He's worried and he's going to be worried until he figures out how to keep his friends and me safe. Because that's the kind of guy Nic Medina is."
Nic had guilty problems and that was a thing that i didn't like in him. Because he was unfair to himself. For everything bad around him, he was blaming himself and he was kicking very hard his own ass. That guilty was preventing him from seeing how many things he was offering to the people around him and how loyal was to them!!!
I really liked this story and i'm very satisfied from the turn of things... You're probably wondering why the hell i put 4,25 stars and not 5 since i liked it so much and the reasons are two. 1. The time. The most part of the book was taking place in two days and i thought that it was very early for the development of this kind of feelings between Jordan and Nic, but at the same time, it didn't bother me awfuly too much... 2. Somewhere in the middle, i think that the private moments became too many and too slow for my taste... It took very long time for them to finish and it frustrated me because i wanted so badly to continue the action of the rest of the story!!! But except those two things that they were minus problems for me, this book was a really adventurous ride!!! And i will definetely read the second book with so much joy!!!

This is the first book I've read by this author, but it surely won't be the last. 'Accelerate' is the first book in the Hotwired series and kept me on the edge of my seat. Although it was far more "action-oriented" than most of the books I read, it had a sweet love story that held my attention.
Nic Medina is the quintessential Alpha bad boy. Having served seven years for car theft, he's managed to build a thriving business and rise to fame in the local racing scene. Yet, despite his best efforts to turn a new leaf, his past continues to haunt him in the form of a dirty cop that continues to mess with his life.
Jordan moved to San Diego for a fresh start. She doesn't talk about her past and tries her hardest to blend in. Even though she avoids close contact with men at all costs, she can't deny her immediate attraction when she first sees Nic at the races one night.
When Nic is blackmailed into stealing another car after years of being clean, he couldn't have anticipated that it would belong to the hot redhead that he saw at the races the night before. He most certainly didn't plan on getting caught by her while attempting to steal her car, or plan to kidnap her in the heat of the moment. However, that is exactly what happens.
From that point forward, the story flows in a predictable, but entertaining manner. Nic and Jordan fall in love, nearly instantaneously. She forgives his misgivings, understanding his terrible situation and his lack of control concerning the events. Ultimately, her decision to help him lands her in the middle of the danger.
Overall, it was a quick and entertaining read. I really liked Nic and Jordan. Even though the storyline was predictable, it was nice and I enjoyed reading this story. It was different from many of the books I've read recently, so that was a nice change-up for me. The ending also provided an enticing glimpse into the next book, which seems to be centered on a certain Internal Affairs officer and Payton. I'm sure I'll check it out at some point in the future.
Wow, I really enjoyed this one! I must say up front that there's quiet a bit of creative license with the plot in this one. You'll need to suspend reality for some parts as the action is exaggerated but it was really enjoyable. The writing was good, moved the characters and story along and kept me engrossed throughout the whole story. I read this really quickly and enjoyed every moment.
Jordan Bass has spent that past few years trying to live a safe, quiet and numb life. She has a traumatic and unforgettable past that she's desperately trying to move on from. And the last thing she wants is any trouble or a man. Until she crosses paths with Nic Medina. He's one hot, hulking alpha man that was just so delicious!
“Nic’s heart is as big as is ego, as big as his family. As big as the shoulders he balances the world upon.”
There's an insta-attraction that quickly develops into more feelings/love in a very short period of time.
I don't know how to explain it but, for me, sometimes the insta-love drives my batty and other times it just works. This was a case of it working. Of course, there's angst, loads of action and hot-as-all-get-out sexy times!
If you're looking for a fun, light and sexy read and you're good at checking reality at the door, then you should read this one. While Jordan and Nic's story wraps up on a high note, there is a promise of more danger and I can't wait!

This is a nice story about two people finding love after heartbreak and tragedy. I loved Jordan and I really enjoyed reading about a character like her. She's not the typical bubble gum and pink goodness. Nic can't stop thinking about Jordan since their first encounter. However, after they meet and start talking, he can tell that she is closed off. He does everything he can to help break down her walls to show her that she doesn't have to be afraid of letting him in her life. Nic wants nothing more then to make her happy..... What I particurlarly liked was the sex scenes. There is steam, and heat and the chemistry between the hero and the heroine is sizzling!
This is fast-paced and pretty easy to follow. However some of the descriptions seemed off in the wording and there wasn't enough drama or feeling to draw me in to want to read the next part. Well, it was fun, light-hearted, some drama and lots of emotion but it felt very “on the surface” to me.

Hands down the best book I have read by Tracy Wolff this year. Accelerate grabbed me by the eyeballs and pulled me full throttle through its pages.
Nic and Jordan are an interesting couple, and although the martyr complex Nic is nursing like a fine Scotch throughout the book got a little wearing towards the end, the author provided enough background and character development to keep it bearable.
”I get how painful the past can be. I get that it hurts and that revisiting it only makes it hurt worse…”
I think the main thing that grabbed about this story is that it is set a little differently from the romances I have been reading of late, a bit of action a little adventure, and even though the bulk of it takes place over about three days a really great gradual development between Nic and Jordan.
”It’s been so long since I’ve felt safe… so long since I felt cared for… I haven’t trusted anyone in far too long.”
The connection between this couple is well crafted and the outlying story that plays out around their budding relationship is different and well plotted. I have always said that Tracy Wolff can write sexy-times like no other and boy did she excel herself in this one. It is hot, but it’s also sexy, with a really sensual build up and plenty of feelings interspersed in it, there is a reason for the way it is written and I think that it was beautifully handled.
I have spent my whole adult life looking for someone I can call mine-just mine.
Being the first book in the authors new Hotwired series, I am interested to see where she takes us, as the list of secondary characters in Accelerate offered plenty of scope for development in the future. Burnout is listed as the next title in the series, I just hope we don’t actually have to wait until December 2016 for it, as that is it’s currently listed release date.

5 "...Nic Medina is pure magic." Stars
This book quite aptly titled. It's the fast-paced love story of Nic Medina and Jordan Bass who meet and fall for each other in the span of just a few days. If this isn't your thing then you might as well stop reading. To be honest, it's not normally my thing either. But Tracy Wolff very precisely changed that when it comes to Accelerate. Her writing and her characters drew me in immediately and found myself smiling throughout the whole book.
Told from the alternating points of view of both Nic and Jordan, Accelerate takes you on quite the ride. I thought some of plot points were definitely the product of artistic license. They were fully exaggerated, seemingly out of the realm of possibility in certain situations, and again moving at lightning speed. Doesn't matter because the story is fantastic because of it. Wolff hooked me and I found myself unable to put the book down. I just really enjoyed these two characters and the crew that surrounds them. I felt their insta-connection. I adored them both. And loved reading about their short coupling.
Nic Medina is a total alpha. He exudes confidence. He's sexy and sharp. I mean the man has dreads and green eyes, come on. He's drives like he lives - in the fast lane. He's also kind, thoughtful, sweet, and capable of melting your heart. Jordan Bass is a troubled woman. Coming out her shell finally only to find herself smack in the middle of danger that Nic Medina is wrapped up in because of circumstances beyond his control. Between the two their quick wit, looks, implicit trust, and banter engage them in ways no other person has for each of them. And the passion and the sex is off the charts. I mean Nic Medina is without a doubt "pure magic" in a very vulnerable and desirable way.
I'm the first to admit the story is outlandish. But it's just so fun and easy and honest. It's not deep but so easy find yourself immersed in. It's a perfect lazy Sunday read or beach read. Both Nic and Jordan are characters you'll enjoy reading. The light angst comes from the plot not from the characters fighting what they feel yet the writing keeps us focused on these two. And the group of secondary characters who Nic calls friends and family enhance the feels of the story as well as Nic and Jordan. There wasn't a moment a felt disconnected from the writing or the plot. Wolff definitely held me captivated with her words. The story wraps up quite nicely although we do learn right at the end there's more danger lurking for Nic and company. I personally can't wait to find out what lies ahead for these two. Anyone interested in a quick, hot, adventurous romance I definitely recommend this book for you.

Review
Man, that is one action packed read that reminded me of Fast & Furious movies (and we all know how awesome they are). I simply couldn't put it down!
The story is contemporary romance told in dual POV, which is quite helpful, especially if you truly want to connect with those complex main characters. Also, this book is not a stand alone read, since the story continues in Burnout (Hotwired #2) but it does have a HFN.
What happens is pretty much as described in blurb. Nic finally gets his life back on tracks and runs a successful business with his auto shop, Hotwired. But then his past catches up to him and he's being blackmailed into stealing a car. After having no choice but to agree, we could say things don't go as planned and he's now not only a carjacker but a kidnapper, too. As luck would have it he kidnapps non other than Jordan, who is definitely not an easy prey.
I don't even know where to start. I loved both main characters, Nic and Jordan. They are both stubborn as hell but also loyal to a fault. Nic feels like he's carrying the whole world on his shoulders and blames himself for almost everything that happens in this book. Because of that it was for me at times really hard to read his POV, since I sympathized with him so much. His only saving grace seems to be Jordan, who quickly realizes that he's not a bad person at all. It's so great to see him fall for her and at the end becoming her saving grace, as well.
...I resist the urge to run a hand down her cheek simply because I want to know if her skin is as soft as it looks. Shit. Maybe I do belong at the top of her creep list. It's called Stockholm syndrome when a captive develops sexual interest in her captor. What's it called when it's the other way around? Oh, right. A crime.
I have to say I was really impressed by Jordans character. Something horrible happened to her in the past but she doesn't let that take over her life or define it. She's a very strong young woman, full of life and someone who would do anything to protect her loved ones, even take a bullet for them. No wonder Nic falls hard and fast for her.
I know it's only been a couple days, know that it's crazy how much she means to me already...But none of that matters. Not when it's like my soul recognized her the moment we met. And not when she's already worked her way so deeply inside of me that I don't think I could ever get her out, even of I wanted to.
I adored all the secondary characters, apart from Nic's brother and bad guys. They are all one big family and know how to look out for each other. Every one of them is a unique character I would love to know more about.
Accelerate is a story full of action, heartfelt moments, loyalty, romance and a journey of two people, who learn how to move on from their pasts, together.
A little Fast and the Furious and a little Gone in 60 Seconds, this book was crazy-over-the-top fun and there was a lot to love about this book.
Jordan was a terrific h. She was brave and a boat load of fight. She’s had a traumatic past but she soldiers on and refuses to give up on life. Being a poor student she buys a car from a police auction and when she needs some work done on the car on the cheap, her co-worker directs her to a guy he knows who hangs out at drag races. It’s at one of these races she first spots Nic.
Nic was sexy as hell. The dreadlocked, green-eyed alpha leader of a gang of misfits. When a dirty cop threatens his sister’s young son, Nic is forced to boost a car. Just so happens, it’s the car Jordan bought at the police auction. When she catches him in the act he’s forced to take her hostage. This starts us on this crazy ride of action and a mystery that keeps you guessing. Who is good, who is bad? What’s going to happen next?
I loved all the characters in this book. They were all interesting and the banter between them was great and made some for some bright moments amidst some of the darker themes this story deals with. The chemistry between Nic and Jordan was hot and even though there was a case of insta-lust, it was still kept pretty fresh while they tried to figure everything out.
So what bothered me here?
Welp, firstly, the terrible, horrible, no good thing that happened to Jordan. All throughout the book we mainly dealt with Nic and his guilt and saviour complex, there were moments that alluded to ‘the thing’ that happened to Jordan but in the end, when we finally find out, it was for a couple of pages and it felt a bit like a shock tactic to me. I wasn’t satisfied because there was no resolution. It was just a mention. The book ends on a cliffy (not pertaining to ‘the thing’), and if the author revisits ‘the thing’ and deals with it more thoroughly I will most definitely come back and revise my rating but until then, with the information I have now, the way it was handled definitely affected my rating.
Secondly, the blurb. I had serious doubts at one point that I was reading the same book. There were a few things mentioned in the description that just didn’t happen.
1.Nic being forced to steal 10 high-end cars. Eh, not so much. Or ya know, at all. It was one cheap car with ripped up seats. 2.Jordan witnessing a violent crime. Again, not so much. Or ya know, at all. 3.Jordan having Hollywood dreams? Yeah, nope.
I really wish I could give this book a higher rating. This was NOT a bad book, quite the contrary, but I just couldn’t get past the issues I mentioned and if I’m still alive in December 2016 to read the next in the series and things have changed, my opinion of this will change.

Another great series from Tracy Wolff. Nic is yummy with his caramel skin and dreads. He is very protective of his family and friends, and now Jordan after only 2 days has joined that circle. Jordan is no shrinking violet, and is amazing in not letting her past define her. His family and crew are going to make for an amazing series. Now about that last page...who is he really?
There are parts of the description I didn't see in the book, so be prepared.
This. was. so. good. I wasn't capable of putting it down which resulted in me not goint to school for some lectures (not that I minded). Tracy Wolff is one of my favourite authors and with this book she proved that she belongs there.
Jordan is a poor, college student who's barely getting by. So when she wins a car at police auction she's estatic, because the only thing the car needs is a change of seats. Her co-worker knows someone who could repair it for almost nothing and so she finds herself at a place she'd never thought she'd ever be there. Car races.
Nic spend seven years in prison. He's been out for over three years but he still carries a lot of guilt inside of him that's been eating him alive for the last ten years. Now the cop who arrested him, comes back and is blackmailing him. He needs to steal a car if he doesn't want his little cousin to end up in foster care.
But it doesn't go the way he imagined. He ended up kidnapping Jordan along with the car. It brings back many painful memories, she had tried hard to bury.
It's true when they say that love can find you in the weirdest places. Those two instantly hit it off (well, almost. after she stopped thinking he wants to rape or kill her). They can't get enough of each other, although they both feel that what they feel is too fast. But they are not safe, because there was something in the car that the cop wanted. And that thing is now in Nic's possesion.
I loooved this one. TRACY showed that she's still got it in her. Although at first I was angry/annoyed that she keeps writing book after book but doesn't finish The Shaken Dirty series. I've been waiting for YEARS for another book. I seriously need my Wyatt dose. You can't get me addicted to something and then not give it to me! That's plainly mean.
The point is, in this case I'm not even mad.
This book was everything you want to read about. Everything you need to read about. Attraction, love, sadness, guilt, secrets, pain, redemption.
It's true that they've known each other for two days and already loved each other which is really really fast but it didn't seem ridiculous, unnatural, rushed. With Jordan and Nic it felt natural. Those two just fit together that much. You read about those two and you could hear how things clicked the first time they met each other eyes.
The only thing I didn't like (well, maybe not the only one but the major one) is Nic's hair. Dreads? For real? Are you in Jamaica? No. Cut them off.
Then the ending itself was a cliffhanger if I ever saw one, which pisses me off because the next book is supposed to be out on December 6th 2016. 2016! I need to know what happens next!
I LOVED this book! This was the type of book that pulls you in from the first page and you just can't put it down. It had everything - action, suspense, lots of steam and fast cars. Nic Medina is one sexy car thief. The chemistry between Jordan and Nic was hot - the first time they met each other was such a fantastic scene! I loved the characters, including all the side characters. I can't wait to read more in this series! Fantastic!
**ARC provided through NetGalley for an honest review!!!
What a freaking ride that was!! Like wow. I don't even thing I can do this book the justice it should be given. But I'll tell you what I think.
Should you read it? Duh. Will you be able to put it down? Probably not. Is there action, drama, romance, hot sex, hot guys, family and friends? Yes to all!! Most importantly, are the two main characters likable and believable? Would you root for them? Check please!
Nic and Jordan are two of my favorite characters. They would also be the main characters. Once they met the story took off from there. I mean none stop action from beginning to end. This story did not drag at all. But with that being said, I have one bone to pick with the author. That bone will come at the end of this review. Anyways...
Nic is a guy with a huge heart who had a rough life. He's be in trouble with the law for boosting cars and a certain crooked cop. But for 3 years now he's being doing well and has stayed out of trouble. He's now taken care of his family and working with his crew at his auto shop. A very successful auto shop I must say. He also drags race which he also very successful at. That's where Jordan and Nic get their first glance of each other. At a drag race. But Nic thinks Jordan is with someone else. Any who, that meet again that next morning, but it's not a typical meeting. Nic is stealing her car and kidnapping her... Oh boy, right? That's where the story takes off!
I loved Nic so very much. He was such a good guy who had a had to grow up too quick, because of things that happened to his family. He wasn't perfect but he was loyal to a fault. He had his family and his crew. If you were included in his circle, then you were very lucky. He would die for his family. My small issue I had with him was that he was too hard on himself. He needed to realize that he couldn't control everything. Some bad things were just going to happen. Mistakes were going to be made. You gotta move on at some point a live your life. With that being said, he was such a good guy and he deserved Jordan. Even though it took him a bit to get that through he thick skull. Or maybe it was that Jordan forced him to see that.
Now Jordan. Poor thing. She was such a strong character and had plenty of backbone. I loved her strength and ability to love as she tried to overcome the stuff she went through. Through out the book it was hinted at what she happened to her. But when you actually find out the details, so much worse then what I thought. She was a trooper and fighter. I really enjoyed her character and I loved that she fought to take back her life. There was never a woe is me moment. Together those two were lovely to watch. I love how she took charge at the end!
Now the one issue I have with story. There is sort of a cliffhanger type ending. Not with Nic and Jordan's relationship but with just everything else. Ugh. It's not bad, but it annoying in that I have wait for the next book to to find out what else has just hit the fan! Nic and Jordan can't catch a break! Bring on book two!
This is definitely NOT a bad book (I've had my share of bad books and this is not one of them), but it wasn't for me. I tried to finish it but i couldn't because i wasn't feeling it. Things were moving way too fast IMO and i got distracted... Once i get distracted, that's it for me!
Reading Accelerate had me reminiscent of the FAST AND THE FURIOUS movies. Sexy cars and with sexy uber alpha males, Acclerate did bring the heat.
Strapped for cash, Jordan decides to purchase a car from a the police impound auction.
Nic, felon, car shop owner and street racer, is threatened by a dirty cop. He must steal a car, aka Jordan’s newly police auction purchased car, or the cop is going to frame him and his sister. Unfortunately, Jordan gets caught up in the heist and is taken along for the ride.
Jordan decides to put everything on the line to help out Nic and his car shop crew.
Accelerate was slow building, with a very quick climax, that left us HANGING (with a capital H) at the end.

Accelerate was the perfect book for me, it had everything I love to read in my romance stories, great characters, an entertaining plot that held my attention and a great rapport between the h & H.
I loved Nic and Jordan and all the crew, every one of them added to this fast pace action read.
Loved the banter, the friendships and most of all I loved the attraction/connection between Nic and Jordan. These two are perfect for each other, together they were able to find happiness and unconditional love, something they both deserved after the painful past they had suffered.
I highly recommend Accelerate, looking forward to reading Burnout next in the Hotwired series.

Being a Tracy Wolff fan, I knew it would be good, all her books are. She writes smooth dialogue and very passionate smexy scenes. After I recovered from my #CoverLust and read the synopsis, I was excited to jump into this new direction she's taking with this series.
I confess that after reading the scene where Nic & Jordan first saw each other, even I felt the chemistry between them. They had not even met yet, they just saw each other across a crowd at a race. When she left without talking to him, I had blue ladyballs. I couldn't wait for them to actually talk to each other...and more.
Nic Medina came off as badass from the get-go. He was well known and had a reputation in the racing community for not only being the best driver, but also for building the fastest cars. So, yeah, he was confident, but not really cocky or arrogant. He was likable, and sexy as hell with his tall, sculpted physique, dreads, caramel-colored skin, and green eyes. I already knew there was gonna be a dirty cop from reading the blurb, so I was waiting for it to happen. I was ready to have his back and rant at the injustice of what he would have to do to protect his family. I was riled-up, in advance. Aren't I a supportive reader?
Jordan is a waitress. She is suffering PTSD like symptoms from an event that has stolen her happiness. She's living a very quiet life, minus the fun nightlife you would expect from a young, beautiful college student. Of course, that has me wondering what happened to her? I'm feeling all protective, wanting to kick somebody's ass, but I don't know who. I soon learn that she's a survivor, determined not to let the past steal her future. She can't rewrite history, but she can make better choices to protect herself. And what a good job she does...as Nic will soon learn.
Nic has turned his life around. He's reclaimed his family and friends and is trying to make amends for his past mistakes. He's the owner of a very successful business, Hotwired, and his sister and his close friends work with him. Things are going pretty good...until they aren't. When his worst nightmare shows up while he's awake he knows he's not dreaming. He knows that he's gonna have to go back to the last place he ever wanted to return to. He's gonna have to repeat the mistakes of his youth all over again and hope for a better outcome, because the alternative is worse.
Rev your engines because this will be a rush to the finish-line. There's a lot of history and details that have to come together to fill in the blanks. And in the meantime, the hotness between Nic & Jordan is off the charts. Get ready to melt into a puddle of goo. While I don't exactly consider it a cliffy, because of the fact that the relationship between the main characters is resolved by the ending, it is kind of open-ended. It is a scene with some support characters that I consider to be a glimpse into the future letting us know what to look forward to in the next book. It worked quite well actually. I am intrigued and looking forward to more acceleration in Hotwired, #2.
Tracy Wolff has a new series… Hotwired… And I am hooked! I’m a fan of books or movies featuring fast cars, and this new series is my new obsession! The characters were flawed, with dark pasts, but easy to like and deserved a shot at happiness!
The first character I met was Jordan, and she was looking for a guy to help her with the seats of a new car she just purchased at an auction. Immediately I was thrown into the world of drag racing and hotted up cars! I was like a little girl, imagining all these bright fast cars… Anyway, she locks eyes with Nic Medina, hot, dreadlocks and the owner of Hotwired. I could see they had a connection, but soon Nic leaves in hurry and Jordan thinks she’s seen the last of him.
Nic has landed in some difficult situations, but deep down he’s a really good guy! His number one priority is his family: his sister and nephew, his brother, and his crew. I love how close he is to them all and how they will do anything for him. But most importantly, he puts their safety above his own.
Both Jordan and Nic never expect to see each other again, so when they do cross paths it was an entertaining ride! I could see how conflicted Nic was, and how much Jordan fought Nic and the demons from her past. Jordan’s story is horrible and my heart ached for her. But I loved how much control she had over her life now and would do anything so that she wouldn’t get into that situation again.
Accelerate was action packed from start to finish! I loved the cars, the suspense, the corruption, and the relationship building between Jordan and Nic. They were both fighting demons, and it was sweet to see that they may get their own chance at happiness! There was a great supporting cast of characters that I’m excited to see more of as well. This book had it all, and I want more NOW!

4 fast cars and sexy drag racer stars for Accelerate. Tracy Wolff earned a special place on my physical and digital bookshelf from the first time I read the beginning of the Ethan Frost series. She's a fabulous author and this new series is shaping up to be fantastic. Nic Medina is so not my normal type because I don't like dread locks but for him, I think I can make the exception. Jordan is awesome and I loved her quite a bit.
Jordan ends up at a drag race to find the guy who can hopefully reupholster her 370z for cheap. There she sees and watches Nic Medina race while being filled in on who he is and what he does. He's hot and she can't help but look at him but keeps her distance because she's only there to fix up her newly purchased car. Life gets complicated when she next meets Nic as he's stealing her car and kidnapping her. Things get complicated and heated real fast.
Nic has done everything he could to toe the line between legal and illegal without causing any issues. He has a family to protect and really doesn't want to go back to prison. When he's forced to steal Jordan's car he sees no way other than kidnapping her to keep her safe. He struggles with his attraction to her, his need to protect his family, and his need to protect her. He's not a bad guy but he's between a boulder and a rock wall.
Unexpectedly, the two bond in more ways than one which leads to even more complications. The sparks between them ignite to an overblown inferno which neither of them can deny. With the threat of a dirty cop taking everything Nic's worked so hard for and the possible threat to Jordan's life, they have a lot against them. The story wraps up neatly leading the reader into the next book which will heat up even more and I look forward to it!
I don't really have a lot to say about this one, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either. it was just a bit of a 'Meh' read for me. I kept getting distracted and read two other books in-between starting and finishing this.
The writing was good, it just didn't get my engine revving
Accelerated A little Nic anyone ….Nic Medina is a dream to read. Tall, sexy, cocky a with a big hemi under the hood. Love a hemi engine (taking a deep sigh because the sound of a hemi is just beautiful) and love a male lead that isn't overshadowed or who overshadows his female counterpart. Sometimes, a reader will come across a book with a very promising male lead that at some point in the book detaches his ‘man bits’ and secure said parts in the heroine’s purse for safekeeping. Fortunately, this isn't the case here. Nic’s character is swoon worthy, damaged, smart and definitely the alpha needed to keep the story on track.Jordan and Nic had that ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ feel about them and to top it off Jordan’s character has great humor, inner strength and compassion that the reader is easily drawn to. Her background isn't too in depth but it can be gathered that here she experienced some really traumatic stuff. There is a mild build up about her past but don’t worry the author drops a lot of hints and its easy to figure out. Why a rating of 4.5, well the story just sucks the reader in and makes it very hard to put down. Accelerate has a cast of great secondary wisecracking characters, shady characters that you can’t be too sure about and bad guys who are supposed to be the good guys. Hot guys, not so fast women and fast sexy cars. There isn't a better combination. Yeah, Nic and Jordan’s HEA came about in a matter of days but sometimes that’s all it takes.Happy Reading Everyone!!!!~~ ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. ~~
LOVED!! It's no secret that I'm a huge Tracy Wolff fan. I adore the unique characters she develops and this book and new series is no different. Here we have a group of people who live and work on the right side of the law. That is until things need handling that might require some special skills.
Nic Medina has a past but he served his time and now keeps it legit and runs Hotwired the most sought after car shop in LA. When he's blackmailed into resurrecting his old car-boosting ways he's determined to bring the dirty cop involved to his knees. Never did he expect to get caught not only booting her car but by the heart as well. That's exactly what happened when Jordan Bass came into his life.
This one is filled with tons of excitement, sizzling hot sexy times, and a promise for some fantastic stories in the future as we get to know the crew of Hotwired. I highly recommend this one.

Tracy Wolff’s New Adult romance novel takes the reader on a fast paced adventure--Accelerate is the perfect title for this read.
College student Jordan Bass is struggling financially and working as a waitress to provide for herself. She buys a used car at a police auction and her unpredictable journey begins. Jordan encounters many unforeseen obstacles along the way--Nic Medina is definitely unlike anyone she has ever known. The few days that they spend together force each of them to reexamine their lives and confront their fears.
The reader grows to understand Jordan and Nic via their alternating point of view. Their actions, strength and determination to somehow overcome the many twists and turns move this story along. Will their obstacles break their spirit? Jordan and Nic’s journey is not over. Looking forward to the next instalment in the Hotwired series.
I LIKED it, it's been a while since I read a book that had a fresh story to tell. Accelerate was that for me. The story takes pace in San Diego(which is my home town) so when I read where they are I can picture it in my minds eye. Both of the main characters have flawed pasts and do well to overcome that. I loved both of those characters and the cast of sub characters, I know will play a huge part in upcoming books. Recommend it to all!!
Oh wow! This book will get your blood pumping just liked a NOS-filled ride in a souped-up car!
Jordan attends a drag race looking for a guy named Raul. She was told he could fix the interior of the car she just bought at a police auction. Raul seems to be interested in more than just repairing her car's seats, though. His attempts are futile because someone else has already caught Jordan's eye. His name is Nic Medina. The dreadlocked bad boy noticed her as well, but thought she was Raul's girl and tried to get her off his mind. The distraction he needed came in the form of a call from his sister that informs him about a cop, who was looking for Nic, that came to their house and threatened to call CPS which would result in her son, Nic's nephew, being taken away. Nic immediately leaves the track because family is his number one priority. They won't be held responsible for anything he had done in the past, he won't allow it.
My first thought when seeing the cover was that he looks like he needs to be licked. Which is exactly what Jordan thinks a few times during the story. I instantly thought, while reading the first chapter, that it had a very Fast N' Furious vibe to it. Who doesn't like a cool car?
I think every romance lover will find something they like about Accelerate. If cars don't appeal to you, then maybe the bad boys with tattoos and piercings will grab your attention or the romance that unexpectedly happens so fast, the characters barely have time to catch their breath. With broken pasts and hopeful futures, Tracy Wolff delivers a set of characters that will have you wishing you were in their presence. I loved every millisecond of reading this book! I cannot wait to dive back into this world! And yes, there will be a sequel. There's no way she can leave us hanging like that. Hopefully it will be Peyton and Chris' turn next! Highly recommended!

Jordan thought the only trouble with her newly bought car from Police Impound was the damaged upholstery, she had no idea what the buy would bring her right in the middle of.. Nic made some bad decisions when he was younger, and now one of them is coming back to bite him. No other choice, if he wants to keep his family intact, than to steal a car, he needs to find leverage against his adversary, to keep out of his clutches in the future. Fast & Furious meets Gone in 60 seconds, action, fast cars and smutty fluff in a great combo. Can´t wait for the next part in this series! Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.
I don't think Jordan is used to guys like Nic, “it’s just . . . you steal my car and then you buy me lunch. It’s a weird dichotomy, you know? I’m still trying to wrap my head around it.” Nic knows he's whipped and the boy couldn't be more happier about it, “as if I would ever say no to you.” His hands slide down my back to gently cup my ***." I liked this book I loved Nic.

Jordan goes to school and works in a diner. She has a close friend or two and her boss fusses over her like a mother. Her life is quiet and on track, just as she wants it to be. It is "normal" compared to the tragedy it was 3 years ago.
Nic spent 7 years in prison for stealing cars. It didn't help that a dirty cop planted evidence so it looked worse than it actually was. He was 18, his mom dies a few months earlier, and he was responsible for his 12 year old sister Lena and 7 year old brother Joe. They were sent to foster care.
Ten years later, they are together and he has a great business called Hotwired. His crew are all old friends. The friends are all in a good place as is sister Lena. she has a little boy named Benji and brother Joe is forever angry with Nic.
The dirty cop wants him to steal a car for him and basically blackmails Nic, threatening to break up the family. So he does it but never expected Jordan to come running out as he steals her car, so he steals her too.
He wants to kick himself. Something that should have been so easy had turned into a hot mess. Jordan fights and tries to escape and hurts a couple of his body parts pretty bad. He just wants to explain what it going to to her.
This is how he and Jordan meet and it forever changes their lives.
Nic and Jordan are such good people. He feels guilt over every bad thing that has ever happened to his family because he didn't protect them. Jordan cannot trust because of the was she was assaulted and worse, how she was treated afterward. It didn't help that she lived in a small town. So she left that small town for somewhere she could start a new life.
Even with the way they met, she knows Nic is a good guy but she cannot give up control and will freak out (PTSD) when confronted with a possibility of lost control. He knows something bad happened but she can't tell him. She never wants him to feel sorry for her or to see her as a victim.
Nic has control issues of his own, it's the only way he can keep his family, including friends, safe. He now includes Jordan in this group.
Other people are asserting themselves into Nic and Jordan's life and it could either save them or kill them.
Even though the cover is nice, it isn't Nic to me as he has dreads. It kind of threw me off.
This is a great book, I really enjoyed it! The characters are strong yet show feelings. I see so many more stories in the works with sister Lena, brother Joe, Jace and the rest of the crew.
