☆☆☆☆4 WOLFY STARS!☆☆☆☆

How The Wolf Lost Her Heart is a dystopian adventure novel set in the future.I liked the future part because I haven't read a lot of books like that lately. And this one was quite refreshing.

I did like the plot.It was somehow unique from other dystopians out there. The thug band was a great great idea, and also the story sets place in London, which is one of my favorite cities of the world.

I also enjoyed the changing into spirit animal thing.Actually I haven't heard or read a

There are several things I liked about the book. The cover being the first- it’s very captivating, don’t you think? Another is the setting/world building, which is a futuristic, chaotic London sometime in the year 2217. Quite another are the characters who are no ordinary humans- they’re morphers! SKYE morphs into a…

Honestly, I didn't really know what to expect coming into this book. I've actually never even heard of this book before I was sent a copy of it. And, I'm REALLY glad that Sarah sent me a copy. How the Wolf Lost Her Heart DEFINITELY went past my expectations. This was a really fun and enjoyable read for me and it was quite a page turner. Every c

It's been a while since I've read a YA to be honest, but I enjoyed it so much, that I didn't even notice what type of book it was until I finished it!

I want to thank Sarah for giving me the opportunity to read her book & I want to advise people who like reading YA dystopian novels to give her novel a try, because it's definitely worth it. :)

First of all, I'd like to say that it was a nice, sweet and quite entertaining read! I liked reading about a dystopian England, it was a nice &am

“Her heart pounded irrepressibly as she climbed into bed and realised without a shadow of a doubt, that she had fallen clean in love with him.”

This was an interesting YA paranormal romance featuring ‘Morphers’.

Skye and Raphael were both good characters, and both had lost people in their lives which had impacted greatly on them. Skye did come across as a bit standoffish, and she

I never read a book about Morphers before so this was quite an interesting read for me. I thought the author did a good job in creating this new dystopian world and I really liked the strong female friendship portrayed throughout the story. However, the characters lacked development for me and the writting seemed very redundant at times which is why I ultimately gave it 3 stars. The book ended on a cliff hanger al

This book was such a breath of fresh air and really different from the types of books I usually read.. I love shifter books.. and this did have shifters in it but they aren’t called shifters. They are morphers! Which basically means they “morph” into whatever animal is inside them…same as shifting just called something different. This is definitely YA and there is very little steam. Not until the end and it still wasn't graphic. But it was sweet. Now for me.. I love lots of hot sexy scenes.. but ...more

It isn't often that you get a unique world that is set in the very distant future, ruled by gangs and where mystical creatures could truly be anyone off the street but that is exactly what you will find in How the Wolf Lost Her Heart.

Skye and Raphael are special characters that come together by chance but have so much more in common than they ever could have imagined.

Set in the backdrop of a very dangerous futuristic city (London) full of gangs and violence and you truly have an interesting read

•Pity. This book is not just for me.

The things I like:
•the base story about shifting into an animal.. Well if I can shift into one, I'll be a worm. Atleast I can stay and eat books all day.. (ha-ha.Lame joke.)

•The twins. Reminds me of my favorite twins Jigger and Trigger (Filipino Pocketbook heroes)

•the Filipino foods. Halo-halo and rice cakes are my favorites...

The rest is okay (except the heroine.. don't make me start with her)but not exactly the

Awwwww! Okay, I'm just going to say it took me a heck of a long time to finish this. Mainly because of:

1. I have cruddy wifi that's as reliable as me when I promise to go to bed early (which I'm sure you can guess is not....)

2. I feel as if some parts dragged on, and others I wanted more of! :( there were character action scenes with fighting that could have held more inner dispute, but the romance was a little draggy (I'm only 60-70% of

I think the blurb pretty much covers the summary of this book. In short Skye Archer is a ‘Morpher’, which means she has the ability to transform into her spirit animal; a white Wolf. Living in London, which is basically ruled by thugs and gangs who have the authorities in their pockets so they are able to beat, torture and commit terrible crimes whenever they like with no consequences. Skye keeps a low profile and never reveals her true identity but then she meets Raphael, with his fierce ambiti ...more

How The Wolf Lost Her Heart was a fun and exciting read. I felt like I was on a futuristic adventure with Skye moving through the streets of London. It was intense to see the world building and how it differs from current times, between the gangs running the streets and peoples "tags", it was unique. I also found the idea of how a person got a "spirit animal" to be intriguing, and how "spirit animals" came to be. I liked the fact some science was thrown in there, it wasn't a natural biological a ...more

This book would have been so much better if it had been written in and/or set in the 1980s. But apparently 200 years in the future, we still have crap like this:

"Picking on girls again because you're too much of a coward to take on anyone your own size?"

"And why in the world are you wearing men's clothes?"
"Oh, ah," said Skye. "I, erm, bought them."
"Bought them? Why?"
"Oh, just felt like a change," said Skye in a would-be cheery voice.
"Felt like a change? Oh Skye... Please tell me this isn't a

How the Wolf Lost Her Heart is a fun book. Set in the distant future this book presents us with a world of chaos where the thugs run free and the authorities turn a blind eye to their antics. Skye, a morpher, just wants to keep her head down and out of trouble but when Raphael charges into her life with all his ideals she has to seriously take a moment and think of where she stands.

For me this book had a bit of a rough start but it definitely pulled through. I think there could have been a bit

I'm not really sure what to rate it, to be honest. It was hard to put down, but I'm not sure I was really in love with it. I liked it, I'll definitely read the next one, it was all a very interesting concept...I've not dealt with too many shifter stories, and it definitely left me wanting. It was a short and sweet story. No world building, no real storyline, quite clichèd. Skye was like a lovesick teenager and got on my nerves. I wanted a lot more back-story to how humans came to have the ability to transform and not just the few lines that were given. Very disappointed

This is probably one of the best YA novels I have ever read.

Brownlee truly has a gift with words, and created a captivating original novel. I honestly thought I had read it all when it came to the paranormal genre, but I was wrong.

The world building in the novel was phenomenal and truly made you feel like you were living in Skye's world, and what a fascinating world it was. I also loved that for once the morphing/were world was not based on being bitten or a hereditary trait, but resulted from

Whoa, where to begin? This book was quite different from anything that I've read - which is wonderful! It is an amazingly original story that I absolutely devoured.

Skye is an eighteen year old girl who is a morpher - someone who can transform into an animal. She is a strong-willed young women who values her independence. Skye doesn't flaunt the fact that she is a morpher, she has experienced negative reactions from her gift and also h

This book could be a fine read but there are some things that I can’t ignore. One of them is the word building. The situation the author describes is rather chaotic. There is no mention of a government but there is a police and a university… And what’s with the bubble breaks? That doesn’t make any sense! Skye is really annoying character. She is angry

In the year 2012, an experiment was done on 42 people giving them the ability to shift into their spirit animal at will. Some of the subject were hunted down by the government but others survived and passed down their morphing genes to their children. For the most part, I enjoyed this title. The author introduces a new spin to the YA dystopian genre and for that I am very pleased. Because so many books are being written in this genre nowadays, it's hard to be unique. Brownlee did a wonderful job of bringing something fresh to the table.

This is the story of Skye, a young woman who lives in the futuristic London. But there's something special about Skye. She can morph into a wolf. She spends her days working and spending time with her

Let me start off by saying that I LOOOVVEEE wolves! They are my favorite animal! So yes, reading this was an extreme treat for me.

The story follows Skye, who can transform into a white wolf, and Raphael, who can transform into a tiger.
There is obvious tension and chemistry between them, but Skye knows that there's a problem. He is way out of her league. Raphael is gorgeous, rich and popular. Hardly anyone knows who Skye is, let alone that she can morph into an animal at wi

I really wanted to love this book. It has a lot of things I like in a book: shapeshifters, a dystopian society, romance. It has plenty of potential but in my opinion it also has a few flaws. There needs to be more world building. When I read a book I like to get immersed in the world that I’m reading about. I couldn’t do that here. How did this world get to be a dystopian society? How exactly does the government work? More backstory on the world and the

Such a cute book, I would say more for teens but I very much enjoyed the book! It had elements of love, not just of a person but of ones self. The struggles of anger and how to deal and not to let it get the best of you. The book tells a story of a girl and her struggles as being a morpher on top of being a teen/adult. She is driven, stubborn, and has a heart of gold. She Falls for the handsome rich boy who also is a morpher and they go through a journey/connection unlike most, in a time when th ...more
