ABSOLUTELY 100% AMAZING!!
This captivating story takes you on journey that you will NOT want to miss.
Ratha-The Magice Within takes you through how Ratha came to be the person she is; her strength and courage; the birth of the Guardian Logan and Ratha’s passion for her one true love, Daleigh. Their love story is magical and oh yeah people, HOT!
I must say, I’m not one for crying or getting too emotional when reading but damn, Jennifer did it.
I don’t think I’ve ever read scenes that made me literally feel the way I felt when reading this. There were several scenes that I had to step away and take a moment.
From the birth of a Guardian to a death that tore our hearts; we discover true love and a love that’s eternal. This novella was packed with everything a good story needs to have.
Jennifer has a way of creating such 3-dimensional, believable characters that while reading, you forget it’s a fictional story but a real account of Ratha and Daleigh’s lives as is unfolds. Daleigh is my new favorite yummy book boyfriend too.
Jennifer has been known for her world building skills and it shows in Ratha's story. Her use of words to make you believe you are a part of the story instead of just reading it is truly an art form she has mastered and mastered well.
There were scenes that I got wonderfully lost reading in that I felt every, single emotion as if I was living it.
Ok, this might be a spoiler but just to give an idea of that emotional scene that tore at my heart, this is just a snippet from the scene that took my breath away.
“She collapsed to the earth next to him. Clasping his hands in hers and kissing his lips she let a tear fall from her eyes. “Not yet. Not yet, please. Just a little more time?”…
(continue heart wrenching scene-make sure you have Kleenex)
…“A final kiss to his departed lips and then she fell on his chest once more, legs bound tightly to the warrior on both sides of his body. She knew she was gripping what was already gone, but didn’t care…”
This scene was truly heart breaking!! But don’t worry, there is a HEA.
If you are a fan of paranormal/fantasy, this is a must read to be included in the Guardian Archive series from Jennifer Sage.
If you haven’t read her work yet, you are missing out!
Oh, and if you love HEAT in your books, she’s definitely got it covered with the steamy scenes in this! Reading a love scene from Miss Sage is better than chocolate cake with double-chocolate icing! Yeah, it's that good!!

In Keltor we met Liz's dad Logan and were introduced a little bit to Ratha. Logan's mother. Now we get her story. She was a sorceress at an academy. She was a teacher there. Then a group of peoples come to the academy and one of them Dante claims that Ratha's destiny is to get pregnant by him. She of course fights this and he insists that it will happen one way or another.
They end up having an amazing life togetherup until they suffer the loss of him dying in her world and going back to his. Ratha still has many years to love before her destiny is fulfilled before she can join Dante.
My Opinion:
I was kind of iffy on this one. I thought that the story was great and I loved getting Ratha's story. However the part where he insists that it will happen one way or another gave me the feeling that he would just take it if she didn't give in and that part disturbed me. Other then that I absolutely loved it! I definitely recommend reading!

Undying Love
This story follows Ratha and gives us more insight into the Guardian world that Ms. Sage has created. I enjoyed this new addition and it comes extra packed with heat.

OMG YES! Hot and hotter i loved this book so much. I loved that Jennifer gave us some back story on some characters from her book Keltor and leads you to want to know more and more of what happened and what will happen next. I love the twists on magic and lore the depth of feeling you have when these two meet and when you fall with them in love and hurt in loss it's magical.Another great story Jennifer . Don't stop writing anytime soon. Love it!

Ratha - The Magic Within by Jennifer Sage is just wow! This is one hopping, HOTT, fluid read. It covers tremendous thousands of years. Through trials, tribulations, loves, and lost loves; includes magic, life, tragedy and deaths only to come full circle with a really well deserved HEA. Yes, there are still so many questions, but that is why this is a series... No cliffhanger.

Con questo secondo libro conosciamo alcuni misteri legati a Liz e a suo padre Logan, e scopriamo che la nonna di Liz era una creatura potente, e il nonno lo era ancora di più. L’inizio del libro parla dell’incontro di Ratha con Daleigh, un guerriero molto particolare. Ratha è una maga e, migliaia di anni fa, essere una maga non era propriamente una cosa positiva: i maghi non erano ben visti, quindi quando un bimbo mostrava poteri particolari veniva mandato a Westmeath, per essere cresciuto e addestrato. Così accade anche a Ratha, infatti, cresciuta da Aeon, il capo dei maghi. Una volta diventata adulta e molto potente, oltre ad allenarsi nelle arti magiche, si allena anche come guerriera. Il giorno in cui Daleigh, con i suoi guerrieri, si presenta a Westmeath, deve dire a Ratha, e a tutta la comunità, che la ragazza sarà la sua compagna, che gli darà un figlio e che le cose stanno per cambiare perché nell’ombra si agitano mostri pericolosi. Ratha non è proprio una ragazza docile e tranquilla e una notizia del genere non è proprio il massimo per nessuna, quindi, dopo lo choc iniziale, dopo avergli detto “no”, aver discusso e litigato – calcolate che dall’altra parte abbiamo un guerriero abituato a comandare e sentirsi dire “sì”, quindi le obiezioni lo irritano un filino, anche se comprende che una notizia del genere non è facile da digerire – Daleigh riesce a far “vedere” a Ratha il loro futuro. La maga si rende conto in questo modo che tutto quello che le è stato detto si avvererà. Poi, aggiungiamoci un’attrazione potente, che non guasta mai e… insomma, Ratha inizia ad ammorbidirsi e a comprendere che contro il destino non ci si può fare nulla.
Ratha, alla fine, accetta di essere la compagna di Daleigh; inizia così una maratona sessuale galattica (cavoli, ma i guerrieri Immortali dove li trovo? XD) grazie alla quale lei rimane incinta. Nascerà un bimbo che chiameranno Logan e che crescerà forte e diventerà un guerriero. Logan lotterà per l’indipendenza dell’Irlanda fino a quando non diventerà un guerriero immortale e combatterà i demoni per centinaia e centinaia di anni. Logan verrà ucciso da Droden, ma la sua anima sarà salvata da Ratha che la metterà dentro uno specchio e che si occuperà poi della figlia di lui, nascondendola a tutti. In questo libro si spiega il perché Liz, la figlia di Logan e protagonista di “Keltor” il primo libro, sia una preda ambita.
Il prossimo libro è quello su Dante, son curiosa di sapere se accenna alla storia tra Liz e Keltor. La Sage continua a farmi innamorare dei suoi libri sempre di più, in questo romanzo è riuscita a trasmettere tutta la passione fra Ratha e Daleigh, oltre a tutto il dolore per la sua scomparsa, ma essendo solo di 125 pagine il romanzo, i secoli in cui Logan cresce e combatte sono stati descritti in modo sintetico. Personalmente avrei accennato a come Logan ha conosciuto la madre di Liz e come mai la stessa sia diventata pazza (se poi era pazza). Anche in questo libro ho riscontrato due anomalie nel testo, che potrebbero essere imputabili a errori di traduzione ma nulla di grave. Consigliato.

Ratha è una giovane e promettente maga che vive nel castello di Westmeath, un luogo in cui vengono accolti tutti coloro che hanno un dono e devono imparare a controllarlo.
Un giorno il suo mondo crolla di fronte ai suoi occhi: in sella a strani cavalli, giungono al castello dei guerrieri capeggiati da Daleigh.
Non ci fu una risposta immediata ma alla fine arrivò.
«Daleigh, mi chiamo Daleigh. Non mi è permesso spiegarmi quanto vorrei, ma ti dirò quello che posso. Non ti servono quei pugnali, Ratha: non vogliamo farti del male a meno che tu non sia testarda quanto dicono gli indovini. E anche in quel caso non sarebbe farti male, bensì una forza necessaria. Potrai non essere d’accordo con questo fato ma è così che deve essere. La mia gente sta morendo e tu dovrai salvarla.»
Ratha scopre che Daleigh è il principe di Elentia, il mondo degli Elementali; questi ultimi sono esseri fatti di Luce, creati dagli elementi stessi.
Gli indovini hanno predetto che il loro destino è intrecciato e la loro unione è l'unica salvezza per il mondo intero.
Nonostante Daleigh sia spinto inizialmente dal dovere, quando incontra Ratha capisce quanto le loro anime sono legate: lei è il suo Altro, il suo unico amore e niente e nessuno potrà impedirgli di averla.
«Il Fato non è completamente inclemente, Ratha. Forse non sono capace di tornare a casa, ma mi ha dato te. E la tua anima brucia la mia con il fuoco, facendo in modo che sia valsa la pena di vivere gli ultimi secoli così. Abbiamo passato tutti questi anni a cacciare e uccidere i Demoni mandati in questo mondo da Heleine. Non avrei mai pensato di trovare un sollievo di alcun tipo prima di tornare a casa. E, invece, eccoti qua.»
Due anime legate da un destino già scritto, un amore che va oltre il tempo e lo spazio. Tutto è nelle loro mani e niente è come ce lo si aspetta.
«Dreight Melecai Sindubh, Mei letchite sundh.» Tu sei la luce della mia vita. Il mio sole e la mia luna, la mia aria. Questo è il nostro amore, Melecai.
"Ratha - La magia interiore" è un romanzo intermedio tra "Keltor", primo libro della serie The guardian archives, e il prossimo "Dante".
Lo stile di Jennifer Sage è poco elaborato e scorrevole, la narrazione è in terza persona.
La caratterizzazione dei personaggi non è stata approfondita molto: Daleigh è un guerriero e un mago molto potente, un uomo possessivo e innamorato; un perfetto maschio alpha.
Inizialmente Ratha è tutto fuorchè una donna docile e sembra combattere con testardaggine le emozioni che la presenza del principe di Elentia provocano in lei. Peccato che l'autrice, nel giro di poco tempo, l'ha fatta capitolare sotto la passione travolgente del suo compagno e tutte le sue remore scompaiono al passaggio dei suoi baci roventi.
Il loro amore diventa subito qualcosa di esplosivo e capace di affrontare ogni avversità, ma mi è mancata la crescita di un sentimento così forte e potente.
L'autrice, inoltre, mi ha un po deluso dopo l'appasionante "Keltor", avrebbe potuto approfondire l'amore tra Daleigh e Ratha, descrivere con maggiori particolari l'ambiente circostante - come invece ha fatto nel romanzo precedente.
La storia acquista maggior enfasi e novità con l'avvento della seconda parte, quando il destino dei due protagonisti si realizza ed entra in gioco un nuovo personaggio molto importante ai fini dell'intera serie.
E' stata sicuramente una lettura interessante per conoscere la nascita di Logan e degli eventi che hanno portato alla creazione dell'incantesimo che ha tenuto Elizabeth lontana dai Guardiani e dai Demoni, però Jennifer Sage avrebbe potuto fare davvero molto di più con ciò che aveva.
Attendo il prossimo libro con trepidazione, sperando sia più simile a "Keltor" che mi aveva davvero conquistata!
Quando Daleigh la lasciò andare, sorrise. «Questa non è la fine, Ratha, questo è solo l’inizio. Benvenuta a casa.»

Peccato che l'autrice, nel giro di poco tempo, l'ha fatta capitolare sotto la passione travolgente del suo compagno e tutte le sue remore scompaiono al passaggio dei suoi baci roventi.
Il loro amore diventa subito qualcosa di esplosivo e capace di affrontare ogni avversità, ma mi è mancata la crescita di un sentimento così forte e potente.
L'autrice, inoltre, mi ha un po deluso dopo l'appasionante "Keltor", avrebbe potuto approfondire l'amore tra Daleigh e Ratha, descrivere con maggiori particolari l'ambiente circostante - come invece ha fatto nel romanzo precedente.
La storia acquista maggior enfasi e novità con l'avvento della seconda parte, quando il destino dei due protagonisti si realizza ed entra in gioco un nuovo personaggio molto importante ai fini dell'intera serie.
E' stata sicuramente una lettura interessante per conoscere la nascita di Logan e degli eventi che hanno portato alla creazione dell'incantesimo che ha tenuto Elizabeth lontana dai Guardiani e dai Demoni, però Jennifer Sage avrebbe potuto fare davvero molto di più con ciò che aveva.
Attendo il prossimo libro con trepidazione, sperando sia più simile a "Keltor" che mi aveva davvero conquistata!
Quando Daleigh la lasciò andare, sorrise. «Questa non è la fine, Ratha, questo è solo l’inizio. Benvenuta a casa.»

When it was good, it was oh so good, everything I've come to expect from this author. When it was bad, however, I skimmed and skimmed some more. The opening was fantastic. It had all the key elements that I believe are needed to hook a reader at 'go'. There was action, mystery and intrigue. I had many questions and couldn't wait to dive right in to get my answers. Unfortunately, they made their way to the cottage and it went to hell from there.
Sex. To me, it is an absolute MUST in romance, ESPECIALLY paranormal because there's that powerful, otherworldly element to these creature/characters. However, I do feel like there is such a thing as too much. Plus, it's very off putting when there is too much dialog. I prefer an author to show me, not tell me and never ever attempt to do both. It clutters up the scene and that's when I begin to skim. Tick tock, I got shit to do...and can I just say, using the term 'juices'...no.
Back to the good...Aeon. I hope to know more about this character as I continue with this series. I can't quite call him a standout, only because there wasn't quite enough of him. He was definitely a highlight though and his relationship with Ratha added depth, as did the scenes between Ratha and Logan. There is a significant element of loss in this story and IMO, this is where the author truly shines, as well as creating unique relationships outside of the romantic leads. Unfortunately, it was the endless sex scenes that pulled my rating down and left me pretty much torn right down the middle. Dante will be next and since he's a character I've already fallen in love with, I'm excited to learn his story.

Jennifer sage has done it again!! Book 2 of the guardian archives series is a must read!! In this book we meet more guardians and get a bit of history on the immortals and this amazing world Jennifer has created. There are some very explicit scenes in this book as well and should not be read by anyone under the age of 18. If you have not read Keltor yet (book 1) you really need to read it first. This book brings a lot more to the series and will leave you craving more. I could not out this book down until i was finished with it!!! If you love Paranormal romance, angels, demons and a fantasy world you can immerse yourself in this book is for you!!!

OMG what a story! The way she had to deal with the loss! The love she and Daleigh share is so deep, so true! At parts I did cry... I know for a fact that this book will make lots of men and women go balistic! I can't even imagine saying anything bad about this story because I would be lying if I did! Yet again Jennifer Sage got me hooked! I love her for making a story about every other character from Keltor... Jennifer did an amazing job!!!
