This is the story of Eve and Ash, college sweetheats meeting after 7 years.

The blurb was quite promising and I coulnd't wait to read this story! Unfortunately my expectations were not met. The writing was ok. The book is written from Eve's POV and it felt a bit messy. There was lots of unnecessary drama and issues out of nowhere. The actual story was already said after 55% of the book and

Sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll. It’s also second chance romance and lets you take a peek at a hard driving rock band. You get groupies, tour buses, penthouse parties and oh, yeah some pretty wild sex. Ash and Eve had a hot romance going in college and while Eve was getting a degree Ash had been picked up by a band and had the opportunity to go on tour with them for the summer. Ash and Eve had decided at that time they could make this work so they talked on the phone regularly and Eve was counting d ...more

I really enjoyed reading Heaven Sent and I'm impressed it was a debut novel. While it's not necessarily a bad thing, it does take some getting used to that it's written in a more formal type British style. I must also confess that it felt like a guilty pleasure read somewhat due to some of the predictability. It's like I knew what was coming, and yet I still raced to get there, waiting to experience that sigh of enjoyment when my guesses were confirmed. I total

I really, really wanted to like this book. I loved the synopsis and the idea of the story. I am a huge sucker for rock star/ second chances romances. I think that it started off with a lot of promise, but quickly fell apart for me.

There is nothing I love more than a book that hits the ground running, but even this book was too fast paced for me. Ash & Eve have been apart for 7 years after Ash broke Eve's heart. However, when they are reunited, Ash & Eve pretty much jump right back int

I really wanted to enjoy this book; I mean come on who doesn't love a rock star romance???? Unfortunately, the book fell incredibly short and I ended up ending the book around 50% of the way through.

First, the beginning was incredibly fast for me. In about 5-7 pages they cover everything that happened in 7.5 years. I was so confused by the constant change in time frames that I had no clue if we were in the present when chapter one actually began. But, even after that I figured the book would im

Really loved this book, gorgeous sexy rockstar and his band mates who are equally gorgeous. Ash dumped his high school sweetheart because he’s joined a rock band on the way up and doesn’t want her to miss out on her college experience pinning away waiting for him. The only problem is that for seven years neither one moves on. Yeah he’s banging groupies and she has a boyfriend but he thinks Angel and she thinks of Ash. So when they finally meet it’s so beautiful and he’s so sweet and romantic. I ...more

Quick Summary: Steamy, hot second chance romance

Review: I liked this story. It was interesting and layered with complexity. At the same time, it was simple and on a low simmer overall. The writing was a bit uneven, but the general storyline made up for any lack. The characters were engaging. Their unique personalities and interests certainly kept the story hopping.

About the Characters:
- Oblivion -> Eye candy for all; cool guys who were like family
- Eve -> Strong female lead with a confident vo
Being a rock star isn't all that when you don't get to keep your soul mate. Ash and Angel AKA Eve were high school sweethearts. She knew he would make it big one day and was supportive of his career. Ash seen a different side of being in the public eye and broke it off with Angel so that she could have the life she deserved (finish college etc). I can understand to a point why he did what he did, but he suffered if not as much as she did while they were separated for seven years.

Wow Ash

Sparks did a great job. Reading about Ash and Angel(Eve) make me just smile. Ash is the perfect guy. He has his faults but owns them and wants nothing more than to take care of his Angel. Eve had a little harder time coming clean with some of her past but she finally does. Ash loves her and accepts her past like she does his. Beth did need to go the skank. Glad she got herself in trouble and the booted her. This was a great read. Highly recommended.

Eve and Ash have been long time friends and are high school sweethearts that have everything going for them. When Ash gets his dream "gig" and is hired as a guitar player for the group Oblivion, he soon realizes that he is going to have the rock and roll lifestyle and not be home much to spend time with Eve anymore. Ash breaks things off with Eve, only because he feels that it is not fair to Eve to make her wait on him while he is out touring. Ash does not want Eve to quit college either so he j ...more

As a reader who's obsessed with rockstar romances and read many of them, I feel as though I've become quite the connoisseur. As a series starter, and Ms. Sparks' debut, this story definitely entertains though there's no real surprises. What there is is a satisfying read, intense emotions, and an electrifying rockstar world that easily pulls you in and has you rooting for the protagonist's HEA.

Eve and Ash were once so close that it was thought that nothing could pull them apart. When Ash gets the

This was a DNF for me....I think that was a first. I tried. I really did. The characters weren't developed and I was ready to give up a few pages in but thought maybe it's just because it's going over the past and when we get to the present it will improve....wrong. It felt like it was just a chronological list of what was going on blow by blow. It felt like bad acting.

The main character, Eve, and her boyfriend, Ash, met their last day of high school and dated then and their first year of colleg

The boys are back!

Well, technically this is the first book of the series. But I read the third book first, so this is my second Oblivion book. Either way, these guys have grown on me.

In Heaven Sent, we follow Ash, the lead guitarist for Oblivion. His character actually surprised me because I was expecting him to be similar to Cody, the drummer from the third book. Cody is wild and unpredictable. Yet, I found Ash to be considerate and charming. Rooting for him came easy for me.

This book is about getting a second chance with the one you are destined to be with and fighting like he** to make it work.

This book is based around Ash and Eve or as Ash referred to her as “Angel”. They were high school sweethearts and during college Ash left to become lead guitarist of the heavy rock group Oblivion. When he left Eve was devastated and it took her a few years until she was able to pull herself out of a state of depression and move on. Her BFF and biggest supp

Heaven Sent is book #1 in the Oblivion on Tour Series, it’s the first book I have read by this author and I was gifted a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a rock star romance but it’s not really the sex, drugs and rock and roll portrayal we normally see. Oblivion are the slightly sleazy but ultimately nice guys of rock!!

Ash and Eve are destined to be together its feels inevitable.

Ash and Eve were high school sweethearts, and truly soul mates. While starting college, Ash's musical career takes off, and lands him a gig with the band, Obilivion. He and Eve try and make a go while he's touring, but when it gets extended, Ash figures he's being selfish in asking Eve to hang on. When Ash walks away, it destroys Eve, and she's left trying to pic, up the pieces of her broken heart.

What was the point to this story?

Yes, I liked Ash although I thought at times he was a wuss
No, I didn't find "Angel" that great of a character.
Loved the Cover Art

The story was fist person by Angel.
Time period is present day
Both Characters are originally from Oklahoma but move to LA eventually and tour thought the country and overseas.
The genre is NA or Adult since every other page they are at it. However, Angel at time seemed that she was more of a high scholar instead of a business woman.

This is my first book by this author and while it was written in 2014, I totally loved every second of the book. The book is told in first person by Angel/Eve which is not something I like. I like dual POV but in this book it really worked well.

The book starts 7 years before when Ash and Eve go there separate ways. He gets a gig with his band which turns into 18 months. Eve goes off to college and he breaks up with her so she can enjoy college. Now its 7 years later and Eve has a boyfriend, Rich

Ash and Eve are high school sweethearts, separated when Ash is chosen as the newest member of the up-and-coming rock band, Oblivion. Heartbroken, Eve commits herself to her studies and keeping her scholarship.

Fast forward seven years…Ash is still rocking and a chance meeting at a hotel in San Francisco set the fates in motion for Ash and Eve to rekindle their romance. Neither one has forgotten, or gotten over, their love for the other. Can they both get past their heartbreak from seven years ag

This book is not well written in my opinion. There seemed to be no flow to the words right from the start. When it would have been OK to have a short sentence to say they were going out the door the author had to describe everything around them before overly describing how they went out the door. If she was not being overly flowery then she tried to get as much information out in a really short time. She was just spitting out facts in a rapid fire manner. You can also tell that the author is not ...more

This starts out as your normal "Rockstar Romance" but it quickly becomes clear that this one is a non-formulaic book with much more relistic characters yet is still a well-written and fast-paced story.  All of that keeps the reader from considering it a fluff story since it is still serious enough to pull off a great book. This review was originally posted on Books In Brogan

Not for me.

I'll give it two because I finished it. there were some good times in the book, but sadly not enough. characters whiny, judgemental, and not consistent. writing didn't keep the book together. just when you think there's potential, it goes away. it's based in America but reads more English which I found out later the author is from New Zealand. part of keeping the writing together in a book is keeping the characters true. that means in this case AMERICAN in thought and voice. it's disr

Ash & Eve/Angel's story was very enjoyable! I liked the way they ran back into each other & how they make their relationship work. Loved the interaction with the band, each member getting to know Eve & feeling like more than just supporting characters. I'm looking forward to reading about each of their stories!

One thing to note, this takes place in America, but is written in the British vernacular. It can throw you off a bit, but shouldn't detract from the story.

All in all, thumbs up! :)

Ash will always protect his girl's sensitivities:
...It’s only then that we realize that Nikki isn’t wearing anything – he’s butt naked giving us all an eye full!
“What the eff Nikki!” Ash screeches as he quickly tries to cover my eyes with his hands.
Nikki shrugs his shoulders and says, “What’s the problem?”
“I don’t want you flashing your effing wares around my Angel,” Ash growls.
I enjoyed this book, the characters were likable and I cannot wait for Nikki's book, that man is wild.

This is a first time read by this author for me. I'm not going to say i hate her Story because i don't; Frankly its quite the opposite. I really enjoyed the Ideal of Heaven sent and the story line. It made me want to read more about the band. But the problem (and this is a big one for me) is the story didn't flow as well as i would have liked. It was extremely fast paced to the point where i didn't get the connection from the Hero and Heroine's emotions that i would have liked. that is sad for m ...more

I chose to give this book a 4 star rating because I loved the story of Eve and Ash. They loved each other in high school but parted and lived separately for seven years. In a twist of fate they meet again when the band's party gets too rowdy at the hotel and Eve is called up there to tame it down. They were both shocked to see each other again but even more shocking was how strong their attraction still was. After talking it out they agree to try again but there is a major
