Author Amy Rose Bennett's Long Gone Girl is a lighthearted, sweet and sassy vintage historical romance novella that is sure to leave a smile on your face.

Set in the post-Korean War year of 1953, the reader is transported to Ridgewood and Point Pleasant, NJ, where they follow the unexpected reuniting of Ginny Williams and her unrequited high school crush Jefferson "Jett" Kelly.

Ginny is a war widow and former MASH surgical nurse who served in the Korean War. She recently returned home from the war

Sparkling Vintage Romance

Long Gone Girl is an erotic vintage read that fizzes and hits the spot like classic champagne! It takes place in America in 1953, after the Korean war and is the sweet, sassy and sexy story of a second chance at love between a young widowed nurse and a pilot. Jett was every young girl’s dream at high school and Virginia (Ginny), a shy an bookish young miss, fell hard for him only to be humiliated most publically . Yet Jett has not stopped thinking about Ginny and when the

This book had so much potential and it squandered all of it. It took me two days to read a 95 page e-book, it was so boring. The couple (Ginny and Jett) are the kind of characters you find in a modern contemporary romance, just stuck with 1950s wall paper. Ginny is home from the Korea War where she served as a MASH surgical nurse and a widow (her husband serving as a doctor on the front lines). YES - FINALLY we get a heroine who served in the military!!! It seems us female service members often ...more

This was my first 1950s era read. A novella that focuses on the relationship between a former Korean War nurse, now widowed, and a war vet who re enters her life after breaking her heart in High School.

I loved the fact that the heroine, Ginny, wants to have a career in nursing. Usually, the theme in that time period was to get married, look good, and have children. But, instead, we have a take charge woman who wants to make a name for herself and has the "I don't need a man" mentality, which I a

I read this in one sitting, it's a fun, lighthearted read with lots of steamy sex! I loved the research that must have gone into this, from where they stayed to what they drank, ate and wore. Great job on Amy's part on that, the mood and tone was right the whole way through. I look forward to more stories like this and more sexy heroes and smart heroines! ...more

I love this decade :) this book is one of those books that will just leave you with a smile. It has, of course, the smoking hot Jett and the very feisty Ginny, who is still mourning her late husband. Ok...small spoiler... They do it! And it's hot!

Altered from review posted on Romancing the Social Sciences.

Long Gone Girl is a light, quick and easy read, with a 1950s setting that made it stand out. Bennett does very well at giving the reader a sense of place and time, and the setting also shapes the characters and their interactions. Obviously, there's their mutual experience with the Korean War, but Ginny is also rebelling against her mother's conceptions of correct behaviour, and attempting to strike out on her own as a new

I loved Long Gone Girl by Amy Rose Bennett! I spent hours of pleasure reading this light, fun and charming romance! I found her characters Ginny and Jett so charming. This romance was well written with a dash of humor and romance. Love that time period!

Amy Rose Bennett has always wanted to be a writer for as long as she can remember. An avid reader with a particular love for historical romance, it seemed only natural to write stories in her favourite genre. She has a passion for creating emotion-packed—and sometimes a little racy—stories set in the Georgian and Regency periods. Of course, her strong-willed heroines and rakish heroes always find ...more
