One of the WORST fucking books I ever read. H breaks up with his girlfriend and goes to a sex club, fucks Cassi then gets back together with his girlfriend and fucks her. He meets his girlfriend’s family and finds out the girl he fucked in the sex club is his girlfriend’s little sister.

UMMM KATELYN GIRL… I was ready for a spicy, steamy book (which I did get) but I also got FREAKING WHIPLASH from those plot twists 😦
I absolutely loved this book. I think the way I inhaled it, proves that. This book follows Cassi and Nico. They meet one night at a s3x club and later find out that Nico is Cassi’s sisters long term boyfriend. They try to fight their feelings for each other but… well you know how that goes. This book was so freaking good. I absolutely love Cassi. She is funny and witty. Nico is a MAN 🥵 I loved the banter between Cassi and Nico. And the tension between those two… oh my. 😮💨 Like I said, I was fully prepared for this book to be steamy but Katelyn hit us with MULTIPLE plot twists that had my jaw on the floor. The ending had me f*cking flabber ghasted. This book just might be my favorite from Katelyn so far. I highly recommend this book!

I really enjoyed the spice in this one! It was a lot and it was HOT!! Nico was all in from the beginning and I loved that.

We return to the night of our FMC Cassi’s birthday - where she wanted to go to a shmex club to celebrate. Masks are a requirement upon entry. Cassi leaves her friends to go to a böndage demonstration room. She volunteers to be part of the demo, but they need another volunteer to do the tying up. Enter our MMC Nico.
Their chemistry is palpable, and as a reward for participating they are granted the use of one of the club’s exclusive rooms. Our characters get it on and have a good old time, then part ways.
Cassi’s sister, Carly, comes into town from Boston and brings her boyfriend so she can introduce him to the family. Carly is THE WORST. Seriously. When they show up, Cassi is able to tell that her sister’s boyfriend is the guy she hooked up with at the club! Carly and Nico have been on-again off-again for three years, and Nico has been wanting to end it. Now that he’s obsessed with her sister, he has more reason than ever.
This is Katelyn Taylor, so stuff gets complicated and multi-layered. Cassi’s exboyfriend enters the picture as well, and it is a twisty turny road to the end.
Overall, I enjoyed this. I loved the premise and the forbidden nature of the story. I felt like the spice could have been spicier, but it was still really good.

I enjoyed this. The romance developed really quickly which is usually something I don’t like, but in this case I really liked Nico and Cassi’s dynamic.
I also don’t typically enjoy the cheating trope but when the person being cheated on is your toxic, self-absorbed, narcissistic gold digger sister? Game on.
This was a good read and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Katelyn’s books, or to those looking for a forbidden romance with some light bondage thrown in. I mean, he calls her “bunny” and that shit had me melting onto the floor. 🪢🐰

The only aspect that didn’t quite hit the mark for me was the ending, which felt a bit rushed, like the story wrapped up just as I was craving more closure and a deeper dive into Cassi and Nico’s future. I could see what Katelyn was aiming for, and I genuinely enjoyed the elements she included, but an extra chapter or two would have made the resolution even more satisfying.
That said, I adored the story and the deliciously taboo tropes. While I’d never condone cheating in real life, I have zero qualms when it comes to my fictional drama, especially when the “other woman” is as insufferable as Carly. Honestly, can you even call it cheating when Carly is such an entitled nightmare?
I absolutely cannot wait for Naomi’s story (One Night Surrender). If Cassi’s book brought the drama, I have a feeling Naomi’s will be pure chaos, and I am so ready for it.

Ok, soooooo Katelyn... Pardon my finest what in the heck, where do I send my therapists bill, I need an adult beverage, and I think I finally read a book with (cheating??!!?? Maybe???? Kinda?????) And I was ok with it!!! Bc- this is like, life! Life and love can be fckng messy and rough and blury and chaotic sometimes. And sometimes love smacks you in the face at the most inconvenient time, and you have figure out if it's the love that you're willing to lose it all for.
Seriously tho- I'm poly, so cheating tropes just don't make sense, jealousy doesn't make sense. So I usually steer clear of them. But this... yeah, it makes it work in not an icky way, and I can't even say exactly how. The 'we were on a break' did initially piss me the fuck off when he agreed to cooperate with Carly the next day. His caveman attitude, thinking he owned her after just one night was also a tad overdone. But... fuck me. It worked gosh darn it. Sigh.
This is contemporary romance with a twist: we get to live out the 'what if' we might have felt or seen briefly in our life, but then chose the safer road. And I do love age-gaps, bc there's something about a more fully-formed frontal lobe on a man... Oh, and him being a billionaire definitely doesn't hurt 😈
But that ending??!! Yeah, I am still in shock. I am just floored. Alec was always too convenient. I wanted HIM to get a horrible ending after what he said. But shit, what happened with Carly smacked me into next week.

Ok, soooooo Katelyn... Pardon my finest what in the heck, where do I send my therapists bill, I need an adult beverage, and I think I finally read a book with (cheating??!!?? Maybe???? Kinda?????) And I was ok with it!!! Bc- this is like, life! Life and love can be fckng messy and rough and blury and chaotic sometimes. And sometimes love smacks you in the face at the most inconvenient time, and you have figure out if it's the love that you're willing to lose it all for.
Seriously tho- I'm poly, so cheating tropes just don't make sense, jealousy doesn't make sense. So I usually steer clear of them. But this... yeah, it makes it work in not an icky way, and I can't even say exactly how. The 'we were on a break' did initially piss me the fuck off when he agreed to cooperate with Carly the next day. His caveman attitude, thinking he owned her after just one night was also a tad overdone. But... fuck me. It worked gosh darn it. Sigh.
This is contemporary romance with a twist: we get to live out the 'what if' we might have felt or seen briefly in our life, but then chose the safer road. And I do love age-gaps, bc there's something about a more fully-formed frontal lobe on a man... Oh, and him being a billionaire definitely doesn't hurt 😈
But that ending??!! Yeah, I am still in shock. I am just floored. Alec was always too convenient. I wanted HIM to get a horrible ending after what he said. But shit, what happened with Carly smacked me into next week.
Phew, these two. Ok, now I'm backtracking to read ONS book 1, bc i cannot get enough of this world!

I really enjoyed this read, it was fast paced and drawn out in the right places for maximum effect. I liked that it presented as a forbidden love story that then took a complete twist for the ending - I knew it was gonna blow ... I just didnt expect it to go to those lengths 😧
MMC Nico was dark & broody from the moment he hit the page at the sex club 🖤 he was obsessive, protective, hard and only soft for our FMC Cassi 💖 who was the red head he never knew he needed!
Cassi the FMC with a good girl outer and an internal naughty girl who has a rope kink & a dirty mouth to go with it 🤭 I loved her pushing Nicos buttons & the car scene had me giggling and kicking my feet 💦 but I also felt for her - the family dynamic, push and pull of her morals over the sneaking around & lust for Nico ... her sisters boyfriend - although as a reader you just couldnt help but root for them 🙈 especially since Carly truly was the self entitled sister from hell! 💀
A mention has to be given to Cassi & Carlys parents who were just the cutest and totally caught unawares in the cross fire 🥺 Also to her 2 besties Ari & Nay 💘 they truly stuck together throughout even if words were harsh & judgement was thrown in places ... there's clearly more to both their stories after their night at the club!! 🔥
Overall eventhough this was not the read I thought I signed up for ... it was full of lust, romance, angst, jealously, sibling squabbles, jealous exs & a brutal yet satisfying ending ❤️🔥 I'm now excited to read Ari's story in One Night Seduction whilst we wait to see what Nay is hiding in the 3rd & final book One Night Surrender due out 21/04 🔥

Ya know what - I want to preface this by saying that Katelyn could write a phone book and I’d read it. But I want to lead with honesty in my reviews and not just my bias because I love the author.
This book had every trope I love - I’m a sucker for the cheating trope I’m a sucker for the taboo etc and I did love this book so much …. Until the 76% mark. At that time I was just downright livid. There were times before this that made me angry but that Carly POV - oh that just made me throw the book across the room.
Let’s start with how this book truly draws you in it will capture you and definitely not let go. Which is what this did for me.
Then things start to unravel.
The way Cassi speaks to her “best friend” and how she pretty much tells her off really made me angry. I know that her friend was being judgmental but she was coming from a place of concern-she was overwhelmed - cassi pretth much had been lying to her friends and wouldn’t give full truths of anything and then all the sudden she is pretty much telling her best friend that she’s with her sisters boyfriend - and then when her best friend doesn’t tell her she’s a fantastic human for being a cheater she calls her names and is so undeniably mean to her.
Then cut to when they see each other for the first time in a couple of weeks and cassi STILL feels like she’s in the right and thinks of her friend as the c u next Tuesday and I was just floored. Honestly I was so disgusted by how cassi treated her friends it made this book almost unbearable to get through or even want to. I don’t understand how you can treat your best friends of your entire life who just want what is best for you so terribly.
Then cut to Carly’s POV and I was just downright livid. I wanted to s m ack that woman seven ways to Sunday.
And then you continue to read and the 💩 just gets even more insane and so fictional I couldnt breathe I was laughing so hard at how ridiculous it all was. The ending was super insane - and I do have to give the stars for an author making me really despise every single character in the book 😂 bravo for that because I didn’t know it was possible.

Katelyn Taylor has written another absolutely addictive forbidden dark romance and I absolutely ate it up.
Cassi goes out with her best friends to celebrate her 21st birthday and has a one night stand. Their chemistry was instant, their connection strong, but when it’s over they go their separate ways.
What Cassi doesn’t expect is to run into her one night stand the next morning at her parents house and learn he’s her sister’s boyfriend.
But for Cassi and Nico, one night may not be enough, especially when they are faced with seeing each other every day.
This is definitely a listen and don’t judge recommendation. You go in expecting that Katelyn is going to take you on a thrilling, highly addictive and steamy forbidden train that you aren’t going to want to get off. And I did not want to get off.
Do I normally condone cheating, no. But did I have an absolutely wonderful time enjoying Cassi and Nico? I absolutely did. Did I eat up every single forbidden moment of them together while screaming to get her sister out of the picture? Why yes, yes I did.
The connection between Nico and Cassi was undeniable. Their chemistry was off the charts. Their personalities really complimented each other and I loved their interactions especially compared to his with her sister.
This book delivered the drama, the pleasure of something forbidden, and a villain you couldn’t stand.
If you want a deliciously spicy, forbidden romance Katelyn Taylor always delivers and One Night Scandal is no exception.

I will NEVER ever get over how Katelyn’s books completely destroy and eviscerate me in the BEST POSSIBLE WAYS!!!! Between the ups and downs, the character developments, mental and physical struggles, I’m entirely questioning if I’m okay or just a little woozy from the rollercoaster this book brought me. Cassi is by no means an innocent angel, she’s charismatic and entirely too quick with her quips but so entrancing. Nico is brash yet extremely calm and intelligent, he has a kindness that is only extended to a few. The chemistry between these two was incredible to see develop. The trauma that ensues had me GASPING for air. I LOVED THEM SO MUCH. I was rooting for their love The. Entire. Time. ARC REVIEW
I had the pleasure of reading this arc and I was blown away especially at the end. Cassi and her friends go out to a sëx club called Scandal to celebrate her 21st birthday. Everyone has a mask on in the club and she sees this as an opportunity to live it up. She meets a man while watching a demonstration and decides what the hell and has a little fun, little does she know that the man she met would come back into her life in the form of her sisters boyfriend. The plot, the spice, the story was so good, especially the ending. I was speechless. I can’t wait for the next book! If you have never read Katelyn’s books, you’re missing out!

Literally whiplash with a ton of plot twists lol I was def never bored reading this. Nico and Cassi had amazing chemistry. I’m not really a cheating trope girlie so I figured i’d give it a try and surprisingly not mad at it. Obviously it’s because of the circumstances in the book. I wish there was more spice because of how much chemistry there was between Nico and Cassi. In general, i enjoyed the book just like all of Katelyn’s other books 🖤

Wow. Just wow. That was a wild ride. So good! I knew based off of the first book in this series with Arianna, that this book would take a crazy turn and, boy, did it! I was on the edge of my seat for the last 40% of the book. Great plot twists. Great story. Cassi and Nico are meant to be! I can’t wait until the last book in this series comes out to find out what’s been going on with Naomi.

Cassi and Nico share a smoking hot ONS at an exclusive, mask only s€x club. Despite just meeting and not knowing each other due to anonymity, they have an immediate connection. Both are into rope play and are asked to do a demonstration- the instant chemistry was electric! 🔥
At the time Nico had broken up with his gf aka Cassi’s crazy a$$, self absorbed sister Carly. Nico didn’t even know it was a s€x club when he was given the info so he wasn't actively trying to rebound. It just kinda happened and I get it.. the problem lies when the next morning he reconciles with his crazy ex.
There is sooooo much tension!! It was insane! They literally could not avoid each other. Now, do I condone cheating- NO but for this story I was okay with it because again.. Carly is psychotic and manipulative and an overall horrible person to the people around her, family included.
Cassi also reconnecting with her past ex Alec added more to the story but the pull between her and Nico was just too strong.
Cassi is so witty and I loved that she gave Nico h€ll! The banter between them was sooo good and funny! Loved how they gave each other nicknames.
Nico is kind of an ahole but also so down bad for Cassi. He’s broody,hot and also insanely rich. Him wanting a real connection and not wanting to be with someone who just uses him made me feel a little bad for him.
I have literally nothing nice to say about Carly. Especially after her POV chapter!
The plot twists!! Holy Sh!t I did not see that coming! I was flying through the last 20% of this book and my flabbers were ghasted! Literally was like wtf is going on! Katelyn is a dark romance author and I loved her other books so it’s not like I wasn’t expecting some dark themes. Still, shock factor was there! Loved it!! devoured it!
I can’t wait for Naomi’s book!! I lived the little crumbs Katelyn gave us!!

I’m a huge fan of Katelyn Taylor’s writing. There’s only been one of her books that wasn’t a top favorite for me, which says a lot, because I will automatically pick up anything she writes. The second I can get my hands on one of her books, I’m reading it.

That being said, cheating is normally a hard no for me when it comes to tropes… or at least I thought it was. This book completely changed my mind. Katelyn handled it so well that instead of wanting to DNF, I was fully invested. There were moments I was literally covering my face and peeking through my fingers because I was so sure they were about to get caught. The anxiety was real, but in the best way. I devoured this in a single day and would absolutely reread it.

The tension between Cassi and Nico practically radiated off the pages. Every interaction felt charged, and the slow burn of everything unfolding kept me completely hooked. Their banter was top-tier—sharp, intense, and overflowing with chemistry. Honestly, that’s exactly what I’ve come to expect from Katelyn. She knows how to build tension and make it almost unbearable in the best way, and she delivers every single time.
The entire time, I was rooting so hard for these two to finally end up together. And that plot twist at the end? I was completely shocked. I never saw it coming.

Cassi was such a fun, loving character with just the right amount of sass. She holds her own so well that you almost forget there’s an age gap between her and Nico. The only thing that bothered me a little was how she left her ex-boyfriend hanging after everything he went through.

Nico, though, is on another level. The patience he shows while dealing with his girlfriend had me constantly rooting for him to finally choose himself. He deserves happiness, and I found myself practically praying he would end things.

I do not condone cheating at all but ole girl, Carly that Nico is dating does need a reality check and this might be it. Cassi and Nico have an instant connection, it starts the moment they lock eyes. These two have a night together and go on with their day and then boom they see each other at Cassi’s home. Talk about awkward! Carly(the sister) is a piece of work. Cassi and Nico bicker like an old couple that has been together for years and years. Baby they started playing with fire and it was so good. The chemistry between these two are electric. Cassi has discovered that she kind of likes being submissive in bed and Nico is more than happy to help. 🤭 Someone needs to throw a bucket of cold water on the two because they are hot hot hot! Nico’s nickname for Cassi adorable. Remember when I said Carly was a piece of work well I’m double down on that and adding that she lowdown no good b***h and that’s being kind. When I tell you I was saying omg omg repeatedly at the last 20-30% of the book. I was kicking my feet laughing, I was starring at my kindle in shock at some moment. Let’s just say all parties that caused some issues got what they deserved. Nico’s best friend Jake, love him! I also don’t condone violence but if Cassi wanted to give Carly that smoke I would help her. Nico is like a gentle giant, he will move the moon and the stars for those he cares about but he will hurt you if necessary. Cassi is a sweetheart can be a brat and needs to learn how to bob and weave. I always pick a favorite quote but my true favorite quote I can’t share with you because I think it would be a spoiler. So just know it’s towards the end of the book and Cassi said it. Girl got some act up when needed and I’m here for it. I don’t know how I feel about the ending, it wasn’t overly happy but it was satisfying. I will tell you the last chapters are fu***d up, you will be shook. I sometimes can see certain plots lines coming( it doesn’t bother me, I like to see how it plays out) but this one had me all types of messed up and surprised. Claps and praise to you Katelyn this was a good one!

I received an ARC copy of this book from @katelyntaylor and OMGOODNESS I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH! What on earth did I just read?! I am going to need some processing time!
Cassi and Nico meet at a mask only smex club and holy lord things were hot from the start! They share a passion for shibari, so you can only imagine how the night is spent when there is complete anonymity and they don't have a clue who the other is. The connection however? Instant, and SO FREAKING STRONG! They were on fire from the start!
The next morning however, the truth is revealed that he is in fact, her sister's on again off again boyfriend. Which I should hate, and I'm not normally a fan of the cheating trope...but Katelyn Taylor knows just how to write it so you are more than supportive! When I tell you that Carly is an abysmal human being? You HAVE to read it to understand. She easily sits at the top of the charts of one of my most hated characters I've read.
So when Cassi's high-school sweetheart comes back into the picture, she tries to distract herself with the love of her past while Nico tries to convince himself that she is just the smarta$$, snobby little sister Carly has always made her out to be. The banter between Cassi and Nico is HYSTERICAL, and she never fails to call Nico on his shit and put him in his place. Also, the nicknames? SO GOOD! Obviously the distractions and barriers do no good and the connection you can feel in your soul from the beginning is unavoidable. The fu(k it moments are amazing!
The last 100 pages.....I don't have the words to explain to you the feelings I projected, the gasps I took, the way I tried to explain to my 3 year old that mommy was in shock because her book was just.....! My jaw is still on the floor and I'm not sure I can pick it back up until I can fully process what the H€(k just happened! THIS BOOK WAS INSANE! And my goodness I loved every last minute!

Which I should hate, and I'm not normally a fan of the cheating trope...but Katelyn Taylor knows just how to write it so you are more than supportive! When I tell you that Carly is an abysmal human being? You HAVE to read it to understand. She easily sits at the top of the charts of one of my most hated characters I've read.
So when Cassi's high-school sweetheart comes back into the picture, she tries to distract herself with the love of her past while Nico tries to convince himself that she is just the smarta$$, snobby little sister Carly has always made her out to be. The banter between Cassi and Nico is HYSTERICAL, and she never fails to call Nico on his shit and put him in his place. Also, the nicknames? SO GOOD! Obviously the distractions and barriers do no good and the connection you can feel in your soul from the beginning is unavoidable. The fu(k it moments are amazing!
The last 100 pages.....I don't have the words to explain to you the feelings I projected, the gasps I took, the way I tried to explain to my 3 year old that mommy was in shock because her book was just.....! My jaw is still on the floor and I'm not sure I can pick it back up until I can fully process what the H€(k just happened! THIS BOOK WAS INSANE! And my goodness I loved every last minute!

First of all, I have to say what an honor it is to be part of this author’s street team. With this book, she only confirmed what I already knew… her writing is absolutely incredible!! I was hooked from the very first page.
Now, I do have a confession. When I started this book, I thought it was going to be mostly smut and very little plot because OMG, it opens so incredibly HOT. And don’t get me wrong, give me books with sex clubs and I’m in, immediately. No questions asked. The beginning is deliciously scorching… but then… then the real romance kicks in. And it is SO good.
Just to give you an idea of what’s waiting for you (because trust me, you’re going to want to grab this the second it’s out): on the night Cassi turns 21, she goes with her friends to a sex club where names don’t exist and masks are mandatory. During a BDSM demonstration, she finds a partner who’s exactly her match, and they share one of the best nights of her life… until the dream turns into a nightmare. The next day, Cassi discovers that her mysterious man is Nico... her sister’s boyfriend.
And honestly? That alone would be enough to give us an intense, unputdownable story. But there’s so much more. The romance is fiery, overwhelming, addictive, but the plot twists? Next level. The intensity and the final twists had me completely glued to the pages, devouring every chapter. And now I’m already desperate for the friend’s story, the next book!
I’m so grateful to Katelyn for welcoming me onto the team, but even more for trusting me with this ARC and for giving us this magnificent couple. This isn’t just a romance between two people, it’s about overcoming trauma, a delicious age gap, a millionaire with a private jet, and some of the most toxic family dynamics you can imagine.
