I think this may be the 4th time I have read this book. I tend to read it every other year or there abouts. Every time I do - I learn something new about myself and about networking. I pulled it off the shelf this time because I am an Independent Avon Representative and Avon is all about Network Marketing. I figured it would be a good idea to go back to the network part of the equation first.

This book is a wealth of information - from using business cards effectively, to tips for joining networking groups, managing client databases and working with the wonderful new technology. It discusses your three foot circle (that every one who comes within 3 feet of you is a potential member of your network) and how every one knows around 250 other people. It trumps the 7 degrees idea and notes that most people or contacts we need/want are within four people. That is a pretty stellar thought, isn't it?

Definitely recommend this book to anyone who is interested in network marketing, networking, and well - just building relationships with others.

Not my thing. I wondered whether my aversion to networking came from not knowing how to. But no, I just don't like the principle :-)

Some good tips in here that can be useful for anyone. It's an easy read. It's a bit older so obviously doesn't include social networking and whether or not it is useful in the world of business.

Some good ideas I hadn't really seen elsewhere, and others I'd forgotten.
