Beautifully Shattered

They still hunt me, even after taking away everything I have left to live for.

Crippled with grief, my shattered heart barely beats, yet my attackers still have me in their sights. I could give up. Throw it all in and end it all now. That would be easier than living like this.

Ringo refuses to give up on me though, taking every hit I throw his way like his own personal punishment. I’m beyond angry. Almost unrecognisable. The sweet girl I once was is gone, and in its place is someone I’m not sure Ringo can love.

My goal has now changed. My life now prisoner to my obsession of destroying the men who dared to hurt my little baby girl. I won’t stop until every last one of them bleeds, even if it costs me my marriage… even if it burns every relationship I’ve ever had to the ground.

Fans of T.M. Frazier, Serena Akeroyd, and Giana Darling will love this danger filled dark MC age gap romance packed with emotional trauma.

Sarah JD, also known as Sarah Jane Duncan, is a dark romance author living in Australia with Mr Duncan who stole her off the market back in high school.
Sarah can be found in her writing room plotting out her next smut filled romance filled with angst, violence, and themes so dark you should probably question why you love it so much.

Sarah writes about strong females who have to fight against the odds to find their power, their voice, and their truth. Her heroines possess the strength that only comes from being a survivor, and through their trauma, battles and struggles, they learn to trust again, and find love.

There’s nothing easy about their stories. They are hard, gritty, and painfully heartbreaking at times. But what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, right? And when you throw in a swoon worthy guy, or an alphahole that you just want to slap, but also fall to your knees and obey, it’s the recipe for a rollercoaster ride.

So buckle up. Read the warnings. And let yourself get lost in the dark stories Sarah creates.

Please ensure you read the triggers, because the story line maybe extremely sensitive for readers who’ve gone through the same 🫶🏻

Not gonna lie, it was very emotional what Abbey goes through, what Cam has to work through with her, the strength they both possess makes you love them more. However, it does insight a need for vengeance on her part. She learns to fight, with the help of Cam’s sisters and her friends. The MC is her new family and though they will back her, they too have gone through losing people. We also find out more about the cult and why they were so adamant in her being forced to marry Daniel, amongst other revelations. There are moments you want to cry, moments you want to say WTF, there was some humour occasionally too and times you wish you were standing beside her. Not giving you anymore than this, you will just have to read it 🤭

As with all Sarah’s books her writing just drags you in and keeps you chained to the pages. The emotions with this one are strong but also the camaraderie of them all makes you feel a part of the family and that’s definitely down to Sarah’s ability to put emotions into her written work. Loved it 🥰

WOW! Rarely does a story shatter you so completely that you're left sitting in silence, weeping with tears after only the first few chapters. And it doesn't end there. This story was an emotionally haunting, emotionally raw journey. This is not an easy book to read. It doesn’t offer comfort. It doesn’t flinch. It simply bleeds. This book is not for the faint of heart.
Sarah captures the emotional journey of Abbey not as a linear process but as a series of ebbs and flows between all-consuming grief and rage against the entire world. The story was full of danger-packed action, keeping you on the edge of your seat. It held your breath captive as you waited to find out what happened next. It led you on a journey of self-discovery and transformation. And it left you with a ton of unanswered questions after a series of unexpected turns. This third book in the Secrets and Scars series didn't disappoint and now we wait on pins and needles for the final installment.

To start I will be using spoilers at the end of my review but I’ll warn before hand but I have a lot to say about this book.

First off, emotionally I please BEG you to check the triggers for this book. Even if you’ve read the first and the second because this book is unlike the first two. It deserves so much recognition and respect for the story and journey you are about to embark on. This book deals with some seriously heavy triggering traumatic topics. I have read some of the darkest, evil, gut wrenching, twisted books where I have had to stop and step away from the book because of how heavy it was. I have never experienced such visceral reactions while reading a book that I thought I was mentally prepared for. Nope not with Sarah JD. She will have you looking at her right hand while slapping you with a pink glittery d*ldo with her left hand and will leave you wondering where she got the glittery beast that just made you question everything (a little inside humor you’ll get once you’ve read the book)!

I thought that because Abbey was the most innocent out of the three girls already covered within this universe that her story would be the most light hearted but still have the heavy trauma that she had (I know that is an oxymoron but I just expected her to have an easier happier ride after experiencing so much. NOPE.

The way this book will have you sobbing with snot bubbles coming out your dang nose and have your nose so plugged your ears will pop turning you into a mouth breather. Now while you will go through the extreme emotions in this book Sarah has managed to showcase a strong partner, the safe place for abbey when she has never had it before but needed it more then ever. Creating this beautiful masterpiece of love, loss, pain, happiness, lust, anger, frustration, resentment, acceptance, understanding and so many more emotions: she was able to showcase how grief truly looks and feels like and she wasn’t just able to make those emotions with her characters but took her readers along with her. Completely captivating the reader and pulling them into the pain and suffering while shining brief happiness and healing. We as the reader felt it all alongside Abbey, Ringo, JD, Jol, Ringos club members, Abbeys friends, Ringos family. She managed to keep us present in the book.

The visceral emotions I felt had me feeling like I was being gaslit by a narcissistic, manipulative ex who told me the sky wasn’t blue. In one page I went from hysterically laughing and squealing while kicking my feet because the banter was cheeky and spicy to 5 seconds later I’m sobbing uncontrollably… in ONE page. My mom almost sent me on a grippy sock vacation because I looked insane going from giggling to sobbing back to happy, to lustful to sad again. If you can get past the emotional beatdown you will get; if you can handle feeling like you just got your a** handed to you after dranking a fifth of tequila then you can handle what this book will put you through.

Every girl from Lexi, Rhys, and hush having fought tooth n nail, Abbey had to drag herself up from the depths of hell. She was the one who was the sweet submissive but has had the hardest and toughest storyline out of all the girls in my opinion.

Ringo will make you check your standard when it comes to partners because the bar is set in the heavens now. A man that saved her, protected her, guided her, accepted her for all of her sides and when her monster came through and she was different he handed her the weapon and said after you my little demon. While we follow along the story of Ringo and Abbey we also get glimpses into the people around them and what they are going through while still supporting doing whatever means necessary to protect Abbey and her chosen family and extract her revenge. It helps break up the heavy topics without stealing the spotlight.

This series is my Roman Empire. I don’t say that lightly because I know I will think about this series for years.. I do mean years to come. I will come back and reread the books as a comfort read even if my heart ends up looking like mince meat at the end of it every time.

I feel like I can relate to this book so much and I know there are a lot of others who will feel the same. I gave birth to my son and dealt with extreme post partum depression and going through the physical pain and obstacles that Abbey faces. I also grew up with my father part of a motorcycle club and the stress and anxiety and fear it can cause the people around you and the loved ones of the person involved. But I also can relate to the beautiful family and brotherhood in the book. It felt so real and it showcases the strength, the power, the support, the sanctity of a club and the love and respect and honour they carry for their club, their brothers and their fallen ones. I don’t know how she did it but Sarah managed to make this book so relatable, not only to portray the love and grief in this book but to have a club be so realistic and include those moments in the book is what truly makes me feel like I’m transported into the book and I’m watching the lives of these characters played out like a movie right in front of me.

SPOILER ALERT!!! Turn away now and stop reading if you don’t want to have anything spoiled or discovered before reading the book or even starting the series!

The way this book deals with the loss of a baby from premature labour is very real and it’s something that is touched on when Ringo tells Abbey about how he found hope but I think the true distinction between the two and why it wasn’t as hard to read about Ringo losing Hope and it was to read about Abbey losing Bobbi. Is it is in “real” time. It is fresh and not being explained years after he had time to deal with the 50 emotions of grief and healing. It’s also from a mother perspective. A dad doesn’t carry that baby, to have that special bond with your baby for the first 9 months is something that only a mom can understand because you have that connection of feeling every movement, every kick to the ribs, you watch as your bell grows. We will allow our bodies to be ripped open and deal with open wounds, scars, intense pain, hours sometimes days of labor, the risk of death to the mom and baby all so we can bring our child into this earth and we do it again and again. This novel has your head spinning from the emotional rollercoaster you go on but it’s a true showcase of how grief of truly dealt with and processed. Healing isn’t linear. It has highs and lows and Sarah managed to capture that perfectly. Abbey goes through grief so consuming she can be filled with white hot rage, to laughing with a friend at the blink of an eye. To feel guilt because you were laughing and for a moment forgot that your whole world had been destroyed beyond recognition. To then taking on the pain and grief that your partner and family are feeling on top of your own because your actions and words while you lash out hurt those around you and they accept it because they just want to be there for you.

Now I know that this book has so much heavy it also has some spicy parts that left me blushing and realizing I might have learnt a new personal kink or two. Then to witness Abbey take back control of her life. To extract vengeance and not sit around being a victim was EVERYTHING!!! ““See you in Hell, bitch,” I sneer, before I pull the trigger.” Had me foaming at the mouth I was hooting and hollering for abbey and the revenge and satisfaction she got by taking the life of Wendy who caused multiple deaths of the club and her baby. But then it didn’t stop there, she continued to feed the monster inside her and while some may see it as incredibly morbid. How she handled her dad and what she did to her uncle in the same day had me wanting to fall to my knees and praise her for becoming a bigger monster then the ones who hurt her. To have a heroine truly take back control of her life and actually extract revenge! She deserves a standing ovation. Ugh chefs kiss. I hated the cliff hanger because while we were stabbed in the heart repeatedly and then skinned alive just to have salt poured on the open wounds Sarah left us on one of the biggest cliffhangers I’ve ever witnessed.

I’m leaving this book with Stockholm syndrome because my heart, my nose, eyes, and emotions were pummeled to a pulp throughout the whole book like a cat playing with dinner (aka were the mouse) to then leave the biggest bomb imaginable that had me questioning my sanity.. and you know what I’m coming back asking for more and I will be reading the fourth book the minute it’s dropped because I am hooked and can’t get enough and I’m willingly going to put myself through it again to get a glimpse at what’s next in the story.

If you’ve read this and still aren’t convinced to read the book/series then idk what to say. Not everyone has good taste 🤷🏼‍♀️ lol and if you did, I’ll see you on the dark side. We’ve got cookies and milk 😉😂

Make sure to read the trigger warnings!

This book was everything. This whole series with Abbey and Ringo has been a rollercoaster. There has been heartbreak, death, tears and so much love that this series forever has my heart. There has been a lot of doubt that love was strong enough to make it through all hurdles.

The family secrets are 🤯 Abbey navigates through her new life learning of her family’s dark past which in turns unleashes the demon inside her.

Revenge tastes sweet when the sweet Angel gets her chance!

Thanks for the cliff hanger ending Sarah JD, please hurry on book four❤️

⚠️CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS ‼️

Another absolutely brilliant book by Sarah!!

She had me in an emotional roller coaster. One minute my heart has shattered then I’m laughing at the banter with Abbey and Smitty. Then crying. Then gasping at OMG events. Then laughing again. And on and on like that. Yea up and down round and round emotional roller coaster.

Abbey was brilliantly unstable but she was so good at it.

Ringo became book husband worthy in book two and kept that going into this book

And yes you DO HAVE TO READ IN ORDER

Smut was definitely a pepper and half.

I’m left a bit speechless after reading this.
So many emotions have risen throughout the book.
It is a great telling of Ab’s story and to see how much she grows in this book through her ordeals.
You are given more insight into the church her family is part of but also Abbie’s journey through her turmoil and life.
This is not for the faint hearted. Please read the triggers. There is no HEA in this book and you are left with a wth at the end.

Beautifully Shattered is heartbreaking and heartwarming. I cried as often as I smiled while reading it because Sarah JD has this wonderful way of making you feel what her characters are feeling at any given moment. Abbey and Cameron, Angel and Ringo, Abs and Cam--whatever you want to call them, they made me feel everything. Their story is full of angst and conflict and danger and grief and violence, but it also has so many beautiful and hilarious and intimate moments between not only Abbey and Cameron but also other members of their found family.

I absolutely loved "watching" Abbey become closer to her new friends, including JD and Jols (who are so cute and funny). I also loved "watching" her become a total badass while her husband and friends watched her with equal parts concern and fascination before helping her face her demons and start to heal from her devastating loss. Abbey and Cameron are so good for and to each other, and I admire their deepening connection, their determination to protect (and avenge) their loved ones, and their remarkable strength of character.

Sarah is so good at balancing the darkness in her stories with heart, heat, and humor. She's also a little too good at writing cliffhangers and leaving us readers hanging! But I love her anyway because she's a damn good storyteller and continues to give us memorable and relatable characters we can't help but fall in love with. I cannot wait to read the last book in the Secrets & Scars series, even though I'll be sad to see it end. I look forward to "seeing" Abbey's tormentors finally get what they deserve and Abbey and Cameron (along with the rest of the Southern Sadists) get their well-deserved HEA.

Where do I start
I’ll be honest, I needed a minute to write my review

First off CHECK the TRIGGERS LIST
It’s there for a reason
This book is very emotional, and has bits that may trigger someone, so do please check the triggers first

These characters are just absolute perfection after every book, every cliff hanger, the Author has had me on the edge of my seat waiting and desperately needing the next book.

I absolutely love Ringo and Abbey and my gawd do these characters go through it, it’s very rare I cry and I sobbed when I read bits of this story with tears running down my face. Trying my hardest to write this without spoilers as I hate that.

They have been tested and pushed to limits that’s beyond comprehension and I love the strength they have, the love they have for one another, Ringo is all alpha biker male and he is pure fire with Abbey I love their chemistry it’s very, very hot.

Also enjoyed reading about the other characters in this world especially JD and Jols
Those two need to be an item, cos they’re amazing
But with Jols being the club presidents step daughter
Not sure if that will happen. But I’m hoping haha

Smitty the clubs president, would love to see more of him and what his deal is.

I also like how the Marx family are in here too and the world’s kind of cross over. Sinning for Santa will forever be one of my favourite reads, how could it not be with a character like Devon the Devil man lol

Okayyyy I’m ready for book four I’ll get tissues next time haha, this series will definitely have a space on my bookcase. I can’t wait to have them on my shelf

*** PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS***

The first two chapters I read through tears. The rest of the book it just a full roller coaster of emotions.

We are continuing on with Ringo and Abbey's love story, we are learning more about side characters and getting to know more on the cult. And there is some WTF stuff we find out!

I will say I personally has a struggle with Abbey sometimes just with her vengeance, I understood it but I was a bit surprise at this journey. I will say when a point hits the book I saw the Abbey I liked and how she went about vengeance.

I love Ringo through this whole book, I loved seeing a different side to him and watching him grow. He is such an amazing man.

The ending I was not expecting another twist :)

So if you ready to cry, laugh and go WTF it's a must read!

I honestly have no words for how good this was!

Did it make me cry? Yes
Did it make me laugh? Yes
Did it make me blush? Yes
Did the cliffhanger send for a loop? Also yes!

Sarah’s writing is incredible and she really knows how to make you feel every emotion possible! Everything flows so perfectly through this series, the plot twists you don’t see coming are incredible and the raw emotion you feel whilst reading is unreal

This book is definitely on the heavier side so those trigger warnings do need to be checked!
I can’t wait for book four!

Beautifully Shattered

The title says it all. What a fantastic story that left me completely emotionally raw. This author out does herself with this series and this book alone made me an emotional wreck. The journey she took me on, had me feeling things so deeply that it was hard to get a grip sometimes.

This is a definitely must read and prepare yourself for twists and turns you will never see coming. I’m usually not a crier but with this book I had tears streaming down my face. It’s that impactful.

Book 3 in the series !! Please read them all. This one is darker and more intense so please check author notes for content awareness. Age-gap, MC dark romance Ringo and Abbeys story is so intense and there’s so much trauma in this book but I am here for it. I am a dark romance girly and this is precisely what I need. I won’t tell you the story but I HIGHLY recommend this book for like minded to myself people … you need to follow this author !!

I wish I could give this book, this series more than 5 stars, but what I can do is to recommend this book, because it was so good even with what happened.

Holy moley there's alot to unpack. I don't wish to give thing's away, but I will say this check the triggers and warnings in this book, because mercy was it rough & I have no triggers and it was rough for me. These character's feel like family and what Abbey and everyone went through it'll break your heart, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Definitely recommend just read those triggers and warnings first before going in. I think this book was the hardest one I've read from this author as she is so worth it.

We pick right up where book 2 let off. We are hit with horrible news for our girl Abbey. Now she and Ringo have to figure out life after this huge change. Abbey is out for blood. Her whole personality changes. Gone is the quiet little girl, now is a strong woman. Her and Ringo together are stronger. Abbey will get her revenge… one person at a time. This book does end on another HUGE cliffhanger. I’ll be waiting not so patiently!!

Heart shattering, yet beautiful

⛔TRIGGER WARNINGS ARE THERE FOR A REASON ... READ THEM⛔

⛔DO NOT PROCEED IF YOU HAVEN'T READ BOOKS 1 OR 2⛔

Sarah JD certainly knows how to deliver a raw, brutal, devastating, emotional, yet empowering and uplifting story, and she's done it again with BEAUTIFULLY SHATTERED, book #3 in the Secrets & Scars series. This installment was intense, gripping, heart shattering, soul destroying, it had me sobbing, raging with fury, and yes, even laughing as Sarah took me on another emotional rollercoaster ride.

Grief is a harrowing emotion to experience, we all deal with it in our own way, and Abbey definitely has her own way of confronting it. Revenge. It was raw, devastating, she raged against the world determined to ruin those who had ruined her. Yet, she also became empowered with a strength she never knew she had. Was she crazy? Definitely, but this young woman had me cheering her every decision and action. Standing beside her, offering all the love and support she needed was Ringo. He was her strength, her home, her fighter. A man who was confident enough to allow his vulnerabilities to be seen. Even when he feared what Abbey's emotions were turning her into, he was there calming, soothing, and encouraging. Their chemistry continued to sizzle, their banter was still amazing, and their love for each other remained unbreakable.

Sarah continued the heart stopping action and drama which she magnificently delivered in the previous two books. The chaos, mayhem, twists and turns, the tension, they all began on page one and never let up. Sarah held me thoroughly spellbound, tears were constant (tissues are a definite must have), laughter rippled, and nails were bitten. I became so immersed in her story, in the characters, that I was oblivious to the world around me. Then as if she thought my heart could take more she threw in an almighty cliffhanger, one which left me utterly speechless. How could she do that! The tears I thought had finished started again. I NEED BOOK FOUR NOW!!!!

A heart shattering, tear inducing read, but so worth the ride.

TL:DR
• RTFTW - read the fcking trigger warnings! Your mental health matters! Recognising something triggers you, is about making an informed decision of whether you still challenge it or not (Me personally.... I challenge them every step of the way, but I also have a therapist who unravels me later 😉)
• Gut wrenching story - buckle up & grab your tissues
• Lots of cheeky banter & sassiness
• Check your k1nk biases at the door
• Karma has a new demonic face
• Brutal, raw, sexy, empowering and definitely not sugar coated
• Fcking brilliant!

All the trigger warnings in the world still won't prepare you for a story crafted in such a way, that it immerses you deep beneath the psyche of its characters, fracturing your very heart and soul along with theirs.

I knew it would be in there... my personal gut wrencher. A trigger I still look in the eyes and face head on.... tissues in hand, blanket at the ready and by the end, find the catharsis of the characters own journey for retribution, satisfying my own need for vengeance in their name.

There's a certain sass in the character of Abbey that had me cheering, breaking and laughing through. There's times when you feel her maniacal laugh breaking out of your own mouth and you just know you're backing the right side, when it is impossible not to get swept along with the ride.

Don't even get me started on Ringo. Abbey's dream man, I dare say would be the dream man of a lot of women; beneath the rough exterior is a man who is as vulnerable as he is powerful, and as much a lover as he is a fighter.

Spice is definitely graphic, but good graphic. Filled with a rawness and vulnerability that opens up conversations about so many of the little fears, shames & taboos that go through the minds of new lovers. It's so .... refreshing, to see this realness in the dialogue and I wouldn't doubt that many could relate.

Overall, Beautifully Shattered is as much heart-breaking as it is uplifting, soul shattering and empowering, raw and divine.

And I can't f*cking wait for Book Four.

This series is heavy on triggers, so please make sure to check them before diving in.

OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS!This book completely wrecked me—in the absolute best way. From the very first chapter, I was in tears. Sarah JD delivers yet again with a story that is raw, emotional, heartbreaking, and yet somehow filled with hope, inspiration, and that delicious kind of rage we can’t get enough of.

Abbey’s journey in this installment absolutely gutted me. She has been through hell, and I felt every ounce of her pain, fury, and resilience deep in my soul. The growth in her character was flawless—she’s no longer the timid girl we first met. She’s strong. Fearless. Ruthless. Watching her transformation was both devastating and empowering.

And then there’s Ringo. Sigh. He is perfection from start to finish. Even when he doesn’t know exactly how to help Abbey, he tries—every single time. He bends over backwards to be what she needs, even when she’s teetering on the edge of chaos. For a big, bad biker, he’s a total teddy bear, and the bond between him and Abbey in this book is everything.

If you can navigate the triggers, I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Sarah JD has written one of the most tragically beautiful love stories I’ve ever read. It’s packed with danger, action, heartbreak, revenge, and so much love. The tension, the twists, the crossover moments, and yes—the spice—make it unforgettable.

And that ending. Sarah, how do you keep doing this to us!? Another cliffhanger that left me gasping, desperate for the final installment. My heart was shattered in the earlier books, pieced back together in this one—only to be ripped apart again.

You’re going to need tissues (and maybe a stiff drink), but trust me, it’s worth every single tear. Beautifully Shattered is an emotional rollercoaster I never wanted to get off, and I’m counting down the days until BOOK 4!!!

First up—please make sure you read the trigger warnings and author’s note before diving into this one. This book is dark. It deals with unalivings, torture, and very heavy themes including child loss. Sarah JD does not shy away from the gritty and the painful, so take care of yourself going in.
Now… you know that feeling when you know a cliffhanger is coming but you still can’t stop racing ahead at 100ks per hour because it’s just too good? That was me the entire way through this third installment of the Secrets and Scars series. The title couldn’t be more perfect because I closed the last page feeling beautifully shattered.
I cried. I sobbed. I smiled. I even giggled. The plot was action-packed, the twists had my jaw literally on the floor, and the characters—God, the characters…completely consumed me. Abby shocked me. She has grown into such a badass, but those fleeting glimpses of her softer side hit me right in the heart. I’m praying she finds her way back to that sweet, wholesome Angel she once was, because I miss her too.
And Ringo… Mr. Cameron… sigh. He is pure deliciousness. The way he melts for Abby is divine, and I loved getting his POV on her changes. His protectiveness over her softness made me swoon, and I can’t wait to see where their relationship heads after that brutal cliffhanger.
Sarah JD, you’ve done it again—torn me apart and left me desperate for the finale.

So I didn’t think a book could emotionally damage me but this series has broken me and stitched me back together so many times already. When I think I can’t hate and yes I do mean hate Abbeys abusers anymore than I do, they somehow make that hatred fuel with an even brighter, hotter flame.

While we get so many answers in this book, we also get more questions and those questions make you want to burn the world down beside Abbey and Ringo. Even though Abbey may be able to do that one her own now with all that feminine rage. “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” well Abbey has been scorned, broken and rebuilt herself into a killing machine!!!

I have cried, laughed, screamed hell yes girl and now I sit silent cause that is what this ending did to me. I can’t wait to see how Abbey and her new MC, husband, bodyguards and friends take on this new info. I hope she rips them from limp to limp very slowly!!!! Hush is about to teach her some tricks and I can’t wait!!!

Thank you The Novel Assistant and Sarah for letting me read this third book in the series. My first one I read on my flight on vacay to NYC with my daughter and that one was hard to keep quiet reading. This one I am glad I read at home alone. The way you bring the feelings and emotions to the pages is truly amazing and I am in awe.

WARNING....Have a box of tissues handy, some pillows to scream into or to throw in frustration, and have your emotional support contact or group on speed dial.
You’re about to be completely Shattered!

Sarah JD once again (with a death grip) happily plays with our hearts and emotions. If you’ve read this series from the beginning, you think we’d be used to it by now...haha yeah right...NOT! Sarah JD enjoys torturing her characters and us.... it’s in her blood!
So, if you are an emotional reader be prepared, stock up on tissues. You’ll need them. I’m not an emotional reader, but this book actually got me in the feels.

This time around we get to see a glimpse of other relationships either forming or coming to light.
But true to form, Sarah JD throws us another cliff-hanger.
This one is a heart stuck in your throat shocking
WTF doozy!?!?!

Was Beautifully Shattered worth it?
ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A SHATTER OF A DOUBT!!
Will you survive? Debatable, only one way to find out.
Abbey and Ringo's story continues ....book 4 has yet to come. Will you be ready?
You’ll have no choice if you want answers to your unspoken questions!!

🤯🤯

I genuinely don’t think there will ever be a time when Sarah doesn’t completely blow my mind. Beautifully Shattered proves that this series isn’t just getting better—it’s getting bolder, darker, and so much hotter, in ways I didn’t even realise I needed.

The betrayal hurts, the growth (in every delicious sense 😏) is next-level, and the emotional intensity is downright feral. The tension? Unreal. The chemistry? Off-the-charts. Every charged glance, every moment of closeness, every explosion of feeling is written with so much heat and depth that you feel it in your bones.

Watching Abby step into her power—learning not just how to love, but how to fight for herself, her body, and her heart—is incredibly satisfying. Yes, parts of this story are painful and confronting, but that rawness is exactly what makes it hit so hard. Healing isn’t pretty, desire isn’t tidy, and love doesn’t come without scars—and Sarah captures all of it with brutal honesty and unapologetic passion.

This book doesn’t just make you feel things—it wrecks you, rebuilds you, and leaves you wanting more.

✨ Beautifully Shattered is proof that broken things don’t lose their fire—they burn hotter. 🔥

Sarah JD did it again, She wrote an amazing story that will rip your heart out emotionally. I was ugly crying so many times, the realistic feeling and emotions that the characters went through broke my heart and tore it out. Abby is a strong character and has been through so much but one traumatic trauma undoes her. Grief is a living thing it destroys a person from the inside out and she holds her grief to take her revenge to try and hold herself together. Ringo is an amazing character he has been through so much himself but he is determined to help Abby with whatever she needs. He is her rock, the person she can fall in front of. She has lost a part of herself that will forever change her. This story is a rollercoaster ride, emotionally you will feel so many things. It is action packed and so many obstacles Abby and Ringo need to figure out. I loved how so many people stood behind them. Once again we are left with a cliff hager and I am waiting not so patiently for the next book. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

I am absolutely LOVING this series! Once again, there was never a dull moment in this book! I was hooked from beginning to end and am already needy for the next one!
This book may have ripped my heart out, and I may have sobbed several times throughout, but gahhh! I still loved everything about it!

I love what a baddie Abbey is becoming! She’s grown so much from the meek, submissive girl she once was, into a strong, take-charge woman, and I am here for it! And then there’s Ringo. *sigh* Could he be any more perfect for her?! He’s exactly the kind of man Abbey needs to love and protect and care for her, but also to stand beside her while she seeks her vengeance on everyone who’s wronged her. I’m rooting for this couple so hard and can’t wait for them to get their HEA!

I never in a million years could have predicted the way this book would end, and now I’m vibrating with need for the next one! The countdown is officially on!! Haha

She did it again. Book 3 of this series doesn’t hold back. PLEASE TEAD THE TRIGGER WARNINGS! This one tore me apart. Abbie goes through it, and she is a whole new little demon. Cam’s love for Abbie is what dreams are made of. He’s amazing and will do anything for her. He struggles because he wants her safe but also wanting to support her. At several points I wondered what kind of brain the author has to be able to think up some of the details of this book. Especially the scrapbook scene. No words. The cliffhanger…I literally GASPED OUT LOUD and can’t believe it never even crossed my mind. My goodness the spark of hope it ignited in my heart for Abbie and Cam. But now I can see it. See how the “kink” becomes even more of what she really wanted it to be. Ifyky. Trying not to give spoilers. Just read this book! Have a box of tissues though. You’re going to need it but then you’ll be cheering Abbie on.

If I could rate this book a million stars I would.

Beautifully Shattered, I am completely shattered. This series had me in a chokehold and Abbey’s story is one that will never leave me.

I beg you to check all content warning before jumping in as this is a HEAVY book emotionally. But to feel the full impact of these characters we need to understand how important this is the story and healing for Abbey and Ringo.

The character development over the three books when it’s comes to Abbey is phenomenal, the things she has been though and is still dealing with, in my mind it is completely valid the way she has flipped and is reacting.
The found family is everything in this story and I need NEED the final instalment, I need her HEA.

Wow, just wow, my kind is blown, Sarah’s writing and her brain are just incredible, this is a hard story at times, and I wouldn’t change it for anything.

Bring tissues and a strong heart when starting this journey.

'ABSOLUTELY SHATTERED

'I could easily forget there might be people watching and let him devour me again right here, but things haven't settled down there yet and well, if we can't get lost in sex, we may as well go on a killing spree…right?' - Abbey.

Sarah JD absolutely knocks it out the park with this book and this series. While she brought me to tears multiple times, there was a balance in the light moments and in the dark, soul shattering heartbreak. Beautifully written, there was nothing in this book I could fault, well maybe the ending! If you have come this far in the series, you will want to read this book, don't give up, embrace the monster within and join Abbey and Ringo on their journey for vengeance. If you haven't started, well add this to your TBR. Now about that ending, another cliffhanger that the author promises will leave you with hope, I just beg she doesn't rip my heart out as Authors are want to do!!

Book 3 picks up right where the previous book ended, which I loved because there was no “wait what happened at the end of book2” moment. I didn’t read any triggers or content warning because I like going in blind, but I have to warn you, CHECK THE TW/CW!! Because this book is rough and mental health matters.
My heart was in a vice for majority of this book, so tragic what happens to the FMC only to get to the end and be given THAT ending!?! Wtaf SJD!!!

This book was amazing. Let me tell you I cried like a baby reading chapter 20 and many more after it. It was an emotional roller coaster. Gave me all the feels. Abby is bloody awesome in this book she tells it like it is and the banter and no f”#% given was hilarious at times. Ringo is my hero I love him. He is just amazing with Abby and the situation. He handles everything like a pro. He’s rough around the edges but soft where he needs to be. I want my own Ringo I just bloody adore him. He handles the many Abby personality changes like a champ and embraces it. This book had me laughing one minute then balling the next. True genius of Sarah JD. I can’t wait to see what she does with the last book. I hope my heart can take it. So many twists in this story you get blindsided. Sneaky sneaky Sarah.

I waited patiently for this book and let me say it has
shattered my heart. This was not the book to start
reading in the carpool drive through waiting for your
littles to get out of school. I was bawling my head off.

Abbey grew into her own voice in this book. I just
love her character. I love Ringo for being so patient
with her and giving her the love she needs to heal.

“She’ll always be with you, Abbey. So now you need
to live fiercely and show her there can be beauty in
this world.”

This book has loss, pain, vengeance, lust and found
new family with the MC. I want so much more JD and
Jols story. Those two are hot! We do find more
information on this cult Abbys mom and dad are in.
Be prepared, it leaves you with a cliffhanger. Abbey
and Ringo are my favorite, and I love this series
