Christmas Wedding at the Gingerbread Cafe' by Rebecca Raisin is a 2014 Carina UK press publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I am so sad this is the last book in this deliciously sweet series. The author really knows how to write wonderful heartwarming and touching stories. Despite the fact I would love to see the series continue there couldn't have been a better ending.

When Lily and Damon first met a year ago, things got

An absolutely gorgeous Christmas read. It's the third in the Gingerbread Cafe- but the first one I've read. I didn't feel that I'd missed the back story as it all flowed so well. But I will definately go back and get the other books and any more by Rebecca Raisin.

Lily runs an adorable 'Gingerbread' cafe- where all the locals pop in for cosy chats and tasty treats. She's due to marry her fiance in a matter of days and all the plans and preparations are well under way. Her dress is being made loca

Wow, what a fantastic way to wrap up Lily and Damon's story.

Its Christmas one year on, from when Lily and Damon met in the first book. And they are getting married on their first anniversary of being together.

This book is about the run up to the wedding, and the wedding day, and of course Christmas.

The storyline of CeeCee and Janey had tears in my eyes, as it was so emotional. There are plenty of new characters introduced, including both sets of parents, and mentions of a character that I beli

I don’t know how Rebecca Raisin manages to infuse her stories with love, warmth and friendship, but every story she writes places the reader in an almost tangible world. I was very happy to see character favourites such as CeeCee and Charlie appear again in the third book in the Gingerbread Café series, this time culminating in the wedding of Damon and Lil, who met in the first book. If you haven’t read the series in order, it’s no issue, but there will be spoilers for earlier books if you start ...more

Christmas Wedding at the Gingerbread Cafe is the third book of the Gingerbread Cafe trilogy. Lily and Damon are planning their Christmas Eve wedding. There are only a few more days before the big day. Unfortunately nothing goes as planned. This will be Lily's second wedding and she can't wait to marry the man of her dreams, who is the love of her life. She hasn't had the chance to meet her mother-in-law yet and Lily is looking forward to meeting Damon's parents. They arrive earlier to spend a f ...more

Wow! I absolutely devoured this book in no time at all. What a perfect and beautiful ending to such a dreamy story.
Christmas wedding takes us to a year after Lil and Damon first got together. They met the Christmas before when Damon moved to Ashford to open his shop, which sold a lot of similar items to Lil's Gingerbread Cafe across the road. After Lil initially decided to start a war on Damon, she found herself unable to keep it up when his charm took over. That was a year ago, and after some u

Firstly, I really have to give some appreciation to that cover. Each book in the series has a beautiful cover, but this one takes the crown; it’s simply stunning.

We’re back in Ashford following Lil and Damon in the run up to their Christmas Eve wedding, and it was so lovely to see them as adorably loved up as ever. I loved catching up with every one, particularly the familiar faces of Cee Cee, Sarah, Missy and Chalrie; all of whom I’ve fallen in love

Now I am really annoyed with myself - I have finished this festive read which would have been perfect to read over Christmas! I didn't want it to end, this story is so cosy and feel-good.
Lil and Damon are engaged to be married and the Christmas wedding is looming - but will his conniving, stand-offish mother mess up plans? This is a real page-turner and written in Raisin's easy-to-read style. so full of appealing images. Her descriptions of cake are mouthwatering and had me yearning to raid the

I was given an ecopy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review, which I'm more than happy to do.

I make no secret of the fact that from reading the very first 'gingerbread' book Christmas at the Gingerbread Cafe I was hooked. Rebecca has a beautiful way of writing that you feel like you're reading about real friends and places. Every book is a drool a minute and not just from the delicious offerings in the cafe!

This latest book sees Lily preparing for 'the wedding of the year'.

Finally we get to be able to spend more time in Ashford with book 3 – a full length title. By now if you’ve read the first two books you will be familiar with the characters, but this is still a standalone book if not.
I found the plot intriguing and was rushing to read the next chapter to find out if the pre-wedding mishaps were going to spoil the dream. Ashford seems such a lovely place that I found it hard to believe anything bad happening but all came ok in the end and there was also a lovely

How would I sum up Christmas Wedding at the Gingerbread Cafe? Irresistible, delicious perfection! I cannot tell you just how much I loved this, and the other books in the Gingerbread Cafe series. They are simply magical and once I picked them up I was unable to put them back down again.

Part of me has been dreading reading this book, but purely because I know it is the final book in the series and I don't want it to end. Rebecca has written such great characters who don't feel like works of fict

I'm feeling a teensy bit sad writing this, knowing it's the last in the Gingerbread Café series. Lil, Damon and CeeCee are like old friends to me, the kind you don't see regularly but when you do get together it's like time and distance are immaterial. Basically, these characters took me on a journey (I know that sounds a bit X-Factor, but still...). Without giving away too much to anyone who hasn't read the previous two books (where have you been? At the very start of book one in Rebecca Raisin's Gingerbread Cafe series. She stated she aims to write characters you can see yourself being friends with. I can honestly say that she has succeeded in doing so. I fell in love with Lil, CeeCee, Missy and Damon from the start of book one and have enjoyed being part of their lives over the past year and three books.

Merry Christmas in May! This is another wonderful treat from Rebecca Raisin! I absolutely devoured it. It is the story of Lil and Damon's Christmas wedding and it was another fun read! I don't want to give anything away, but mayhem is involved and so is a town full of wonderful big-hearted people who I have grown to love! It is a great, fun read even if it's not Christmas - yet.

What a beautiful heart-warming Christmas treat! You don't need to have read all the series as this story is delicious on it's own but you'll definitely want to when you meet these characters. There is so much warmth between Lil, Cee Cee, Missy and Sarah you actually feel you're among them and part of their delightful friendship. It made me laugh, it made me cry (just a little bit at the end)!

I fell in love with this little town when I read the first in the Gingerbread Café series. It's filled with people you can't help be friends with, the kind that rally around and help when things are down, make you laugh when you want to cry and just make a small town what it really is. Rebecca Raisin's writing brings this little down to life and you can smell the delicious yummy treats coming from Lily & CeeCee's Gingerbread Caf

A year has passed since Christmas at the Gingerbread Cafe and wedding plans are underway for Lily and Damon. (Don't dare get on my case over spoilers since you knew it was going to happen as soon as you knew the titles of the books.) All of our favorite Ashford friends and neighbors are here, including CeeCee, Charlie, Sarah and Missy. This book is the third book in The Gingerbread Cafe series, but the first that I had read. I certainly do not think it is absolutely necessary that you need to have read the first two to enjoy this book, although (as always) it probably helps with the character development and as the story does heavily follow on, perhaps it would have been useful.

I found this book to be extremely "american" which was the main negative for me, but that is an entirely personal preference and you should not let tha

Wow, this is the first Rebecca Raisin book that I have read and let me just say it will not be the last. When I got to about 75% into reading this book, I knew it was coming to an end...and I was sad. Because sometimes you read a book where you fall in love with all the characters and you don't want it to end. There have been times I have stopped reading a book so that I could save it for just a bit longer and be in the fictional world. Even though I didn't want this one to end, I was happy to k ...more
