This short yet deliciously good novella tells the tale of tiger shifter Samira “Sam” Anderson and his journey to adulthood as she attends college away from her Pack. She is chosen to be a rare female sentinel for her pack. She’s never backed down from a challenge and she’s not about to let college be her breaking point. What she didn’t expect to face is finding her mate. Not only is her mate very unexpectedly human, but he’s also exactly the kind of man she’d want. Yet, Gavin has his own trepidations about this budding relationship. He’s been burned before and he’s not about to go through that kind of relationship again with Sam. He knows something is different about her. Yet, can he handle the knowledge that Sam’s about to bestow on him or will be himself buckle under the pressure?
To put this simply, I really enjoyed this novella. It has all the makings of a great shifter story. You’ve got your supernaturals, humans, taboo romance, steamy love scenes, drama, and much more. I honestly love the shift on shifter mates and their lifetimes in this novel. Davis has made it possible for her characters to have a happy ending when in other novels you are left with wonder as to how their lives will end as they grow older together. All in all, Davis has knocked it out of the park in terms of a great novella. I hope to learn more about Sam and her pride in future books
To put this simply, I really enjoyed this novella. It has all the makings of a great shifter story. You’ve got your supernaturals, humans, taboo romance, steamy love scenes, drama, and much more. This tiger has bite!
Loving this new series about shifters going off on their own for the first time. In many of the books I read the shifters are well known in their communities and do not have to attempt to hide from humans. So I really enjoyed seeing this different perspective. Our heroine is a dominant female which is awesome, of course, but there are all sorts of characters to meet - geeks, weasels (and not the shifting type), and submissives. And now a bit about the story...
Sam is heading for Harmony University to complete her degree outside of her pride. This is a big step for her and even though her cousin is already there she is still nervous. Her first night there is a large party at their house and she meets Gavin. As with any college party you never know how things will end...
Favorite passages:
- The urge to taste her had been too strong, an unseen force drawing them together like polar opposites.
- "If you touch another female on this campus, it'll be the last thing you do."

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot captivates readers with suspense, excitement and romance. The well written scenes and details bring the story to life and the characters are strong, compelling and draw the reader deep into the story.
The attraction between Samira and Gavin flare hot upon first meeting and only gets hotter as the story progresses. The reader can’t help but get caught up in the story and all the emotional life altering things that Sam and Gavin go through…as if college isn’t hard enough, right?
The is a charming quick read that focuses on new adults dealing with college and the first time away from home…oh they are shifters as well which adds a whole new perspective from both views and though I wish it had been longer, I can’t wait to read the next one.

I think Sam and Gavin are perfect for each other, with him she shows so much tenderness and love, "yea. I'm a dominant female. It's in my blood." God, it felt good to be open with him. Cupping one cheek, she studied him. "Are you sure you're okay with all of this?" I liked when these two were together they're were totally cute:
He kissed the top of her breast. "Do you want to bite me?"
"Oh, yes. And I will, multiple times and in multiple places."
There were other characters that caught my eye in the book as well like Camille, Dev, and Jesse, I'm really hoping they get a book, because I enjoyed this one. Looks like another Lia wrote another series that I'm obsessed with.

Like the others in the R.O.A.R. series this is a short but powerful story of a young woman who has left all she knows for the first time in her life to go away to University. She is smart and gifted and a tiger shifter. When she falls fast for a human she deals but when another human is preying on young women on campus the protector she is trained to be comes out but will it cost her the human that is meant to be her mate? This story sucks you in and grabs you from the first page to the last. I look forward to future visits to Harmony Springs.

This is the first time I am reading one of novels from this line so I chose a author I know and enjoy reading. Being a older person I sometimes shy away from novels that have characters college bound but will if story is intriguing enough. This novel centers around Sam who is off to a university not far from home,something she feels will bring balance and a experience she feels that is needed for herself. She also will not be like many that will be attending the school because she also has a side to her that most will not know about. Even though at the school she will be around some such as she some will be human. When there one of her dorm mates mentions a party which they go to. That party will be also the beginning of a different road than she imagined when coming to school. She would meet her mate but oh he is human. Gavin also is no stranger to her world which will make for telling a whole lot easier to swallow. The tale contained in this novel is short and sweet and quite delicious but does contain a event that will take them up against a guy who will be one bad taste. Thank goodness for her training also or this story could have gone in a different direction all together. Needless to say this was not your typical story on characters who go away from home to college but one that has more meat to it paranormal style. It also has a ending that will melt your insides too. When finished with this one it will also intrigue a person to read the others that this line has to offer too.

Great book. Fast easy read. Well written. Great character's you can fall in love with. Samaria was very strong dominate female. I read few books with dominate female's this is first one I loved with female in charge. Gavin is awesome and trying to play the dominante male roll for male human had no clue at first Samaria is. And taking really good that his girlfriend is tiger. Loved it and thank you awesome read.

Great book. Fast easy read. Well written. Great character's you can fall in love with. Samaria was very strong dominate female. Lia Davis has done another amazing book. Her Paranormals are strong and dominate with a real need to protect others. I have enjoyed every series she has written and look forward to reading many more in her ROAR series.

He is immediately drawn to her and the chemistry is hell yes hot. Wait till he finds out about her big kitty and the shifter world.

If you look up New Adult Paranormal romance book this book cover could be cited as the perfect example of this genre. And if you haven’t taken the plunge with either a new paranormal series or Lia Davis, then this is a wonderful addition to both. Ms Davis just knocked this one out of the park with her first foray into the New Adult genre. Well Done. Now I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for the next book.

To be young again! Loved Sam, she was dominant, aggressive but protective of her new friends! I loved that she was strong but sweet! Her and Gavin were so perfect for each other and when they were together..there was definite heat! Will they become mates or will in outside danger put Sam's life on the line? Also, what will happen when Gavin, who is human, finds out his girlfriend is a shifter? Loved it!
