This excellent book presents wide range of topics of study suggested after earning one’s private pilot certificate. The title is a bit of a stretch, as there are really about fifty topics, arranged logically into seven sections. Still, these easily digestible chapters inspire further learning in various areas, and Cook’s style balances lecture with humor to keep it interesting, and encouragement with caution to foster both confidence and good judgment. Reading this as a private pilot who hasn’t flown in a while, I was constantly reminded of all that I’ve missed, and all the many ways I can get back in.

Read after getting your PPL

The book gives some very good insights as to what to do next after getting your PPL, and how to be a better pilot in general.

I also liked the overwiew of additional ratings and types of aircraft one can licensed for.

Good food for thought and a great starting point in continuing your aviation journey!

Not bad if you haven't flown in a long while but otherwise most of this you should be very familiar with by the end of your private pilot training.
