There’s no easy way to put it as guitarist Jake Collins confesses to the band that an old fling – one who almost ruined the band – is now pregnant with his child. Fallen Tuesday is weeks away from an album launch and tour, and it leaves Jake looking for an exit… from everything.
Mel Burhden just wants to find her father and ask him why he left. Working two jobs and fighting her emotions on a daily basis, the last thing she expects to find is a sexy, half-naked rock star in a hotel room she’s there to clean.
As Jake and Mel begin to confide in each other, their affection grows to depths beyond just physical. But will she be able to accept another woman in his life while Jake becomes the rock star the world wants and the man Mel needs?
This is Jake and Melanie’s story of finding their way together through their dark pasts. “Don’t let me fall,” she warned. “Never,” Jake said. “Just trust me.”
Five stars for the characters and the story. Minus two stars for all the errors, bad grammar, weird sentences, and missing words. Enough errors that it just about ruined the reading experience. Please, please, please get an editor or make the corrections reported by your ARC readers. This is a problem I've had with just about every book I've read by Karolyn James.
Such a good story. I just sucked it all up. Jake's story was so good and I am so glad he found his match. I am so glad that his life was not changed with unwanted fatherhood, or a crippling crazy relationship. I was kind of skeptic of the PI, but was glad that my fears were not an issue :? I can't wait for the next book
I love this series. Finally Chloe is dealt with in this book. I did not like her, so glad Jake finally wakes up and finds Mel. He realizes what love should really feel like and Mel finds the person that helps her feel like she belongs and gets the answers she needs.mack's story is next can't wait!
Awesome story about finding the live that is real and worth the fight, Jake and Mel together help each other discover that life will always have storms n it and if you have the love of your life that all storms are worth the pain you may go through to find the love if your life. A must read!
It was just a stereotyped book. False pregnancy, confused rockstar, lost and lonely not forgetting broke heroine....unneccessary drama. Reminds me of my mills and boon days...so horribly predictable.
