The Characters
Sienna is a up and coming artist who takes an internship that her friend Harper recommends her for. She is an OCD type of person that does things neat and orderly. Caz, on the other hand, is an eccentric and moody famous artist who works with sugar (So cool). He does things in a crazy out of control way, completely different from how Sienna lived her life. Together Sienna and Caz are perfect. He shows her that the best way to live isn't always neat and orderly a

Sienna and Caz both have their quirks. They both are artist and they both hide things from each other. As the story goes along, they both push each other to be better artists and help each other work out some issues.

The book is about this girl Sienna who goes against her best friend’s wishes and applies for an internship with a locally famous artist Caz, who just so happen to recently fire her friend.

Sienna is instantly intrigued by Caz’s eccentric and mysterious characteristics and the fact that she can see he’s placed this wall up and all Sienna wants to do is break down that wall and see the man behind it.

Harper and Sienna are best friends and nothing can come between them or is there ? When Harper recommends Sienna for an internship, they have dreams of working side by side but what will happen when Harper is fired, the day Sienna is supposed to start work and warns Sienna about going. Casper Mason is the artist and a bit of a recluse and eclectic. He also has a thing for sugar and turned up out of the blue, there is no recollection of his life prior to his art. I haven't read the first book in the Art of Love series, but that didn't seem to hinder this book at all, to me. In Private Internship, we have Sienna who is a digital artist looking for some cash by doing an internship for the famous and reclusive Casper Mason. Sienna really has no idea what she's stepping into. Casper, or Caz, is extremely eccentric. He enjoys 'testing' people. Through the front that Caz puts out, there's a dark a

I was a little apprehensive going into this book. Being the second book, I naturally thought to start off with the first. However, I am a sappy romantic and am always in favor of a solid happily ever after. So, I chose not to read the first book as it revolves around another relationship. I don’t want to end a romance novel thinking that my HEA was a temporary situation. IN the end, I was glad I made that choice. I get very attached to the characters I read about and I would have had a much hard ...more

I was pleasantly surprised by Private Internship by Kitsy Clare and would recommend it as a quick romantic read with some genuine, serious moments. It is the second book in a series, and even though I had not read the first, I found this book easy to follow. I would recommend however, reading the first book first, as I believe the first book could be better enjoyed being read first, rather than after the second book. To be honest, the beginning few pages set off some of some alarms and

I really loved the first book Model Position. If you’ve read my review you’ll know that I found this to be one of the better New Adult books in the market.

And in similar fashion, Private Internship does not disappoint.

When I first started Private Internship, I wasn’t sure if I was going to love it. I fell in love with Model Position and Sienna’s relationship with Erik. So when things began blossoming between Sienna and her boss, I wanted so badly to

Private Internship is the second novel In An Art of Love. This is an incredible story about love finding you when you weren't even looking, secrets from the past, forgiveness, friendships, second chances and of course Art.
Harper recommended Sienna for an internship with the infamous artist Casper Mason. Harper is terminated. Why did Casper give her the slip?
Casper is a surprisingly, unique, eccentric character. He is constantly playing games with his intern Sienna.

I did not read the first book in the series "model position" but will get to it in December. Luckily you don't have to read the first one to understand this one so it is a perfect stand alone.

Wonderful read. Caz acts like a jackass to save himself from the guilt and pain from the past. He keeps people away so that he doesn’t have to burden them with himself. Sienna is trying to figure out where she stands in the art world and her own. The two meet and are attracted. Sienna his new intern becomes enthralled and aggravated by him. Yet they are attracted like moths to flame.

Each with problems, each trying to navigate their way. When around Sienna, Caz finds himself to be a better person

Sienna's best friend warned her not to take the internship with Casper Mason. He might be a famous artist, but he's beyond eccentric. Sienna needs the money, though, and surely the gorgeous Caz can't be that bad. His games test her right away, but she doesn't frighten off easily. Sienna's not only determined to make the internship work, she finds she's falling hard for her hot boss. The problem is Caz has a dark secret locked away. One that could destroy everything between them.

I was told you didn't have to read Model Position first to understand Private Internship and you don't. Model Position is a short read so I decided to read it first. 3.5 stars. This was a mostly fun read, with an unexpectedly serious twist towards the end. Sienna’s an interesting enough heroine as she tries to get to grips with Caz’s frequent personality shifts. I liked that she wouldn’t stand for his stupid tests and wasn’t afraid to stand up to him. As for Caz, I couldn’t decide whether I liked him or not. He’s too capricious for me, bouncing from one extreme to the other. And yet, towards the end, I liked him more and more, while Sienna was the one I star ...more

I read Model Position, also by Kitsy Clare, and loved it. So it wasn't a tough decision to read this book also. The reader is totally immersed in the world of art and New York. I love when an author sweeps me into the setting. The MC, Sienna, is awesome! She is strong, independent, and speaks her mind - sometimes. This book was steamy - that, of course, was no surprise. The connection between the MC and love interest developed at a natural, normal pace and didn't feel rushed by the author. I kno ...more

I didn't know what to expect from this book because I had never read anything by Kitsy Clare before. This was a really quick read for me, took about a night and a half to finish it. And, I honestly really enjoyed it.

I liked Sienna instantly, she went after what she wanted even though it was not something her best friend approved of. I also loved how she didn't take any crap from Caz. I liked how the author made you feel what they were feeling, and I loved that Sienna wasn't a weak female lead.

“Private Internship” and its prequel “Model Position” are both upbeat romance books with artsy flair. “Private Internship” can certainly be read as a standalone. As I love art, I particularly enjoyed the many looks into the art world though it may seem a little “out there” to those who are familiar with it. Sienna is relatable character and Caz is the enigma to be figured out. Throughout the book, we see their relationship bloom as they navigate twist and turns working through their pasts. Overa ...more

Sienna takes an internship working with Casper Mason. Caz is a well known artist who works with sugar. He has made his mark on the art world much like Sienna hopes to do. When she starts to work with him Caz constantly tests her. When she not only passes his test but gives him hell for his constant games he finds himself attracted to her. The more time they spend together the more they are drawn to each other. The problem is they are both keeping secrets from each other.

Private Internship (Art of Love #2) by Kitsy Clare

Private Internship by Kitsy Clare is her full-length sequel to Model Positions (see my review). Unlike some sequels, this one doesn't disappoint. Clare ratchets up the fun when fledgling artist Sienna starts interning for famous bad-boy artist Caz Mason in his gigantic, crumbling, sugar factory studio/home/den of secrets. With layered characters, great hooks and enough tension to keep the pages turning, Private Internship adds up to an edgy, romantic read. I loved it!

This story is about a girl, Sienna who goes to work for the supposedly mysterious, mean, and rude artist, Caz. The story line was a good way. I love how the author correlated the art factor in with their own individual personality traits.

I can't say I loved this book but I didn't hate it either. It was just okay for me. I didn't really feel a connection between them until about 80% into the book but maybe it was written that way so I would sympathize with Sienna wanting to feel a deeper connection as she did. After finding Caz's secret, the story starts to pick up but it never leaves me breathless or yearning. Even the sex scenes were a little stale. So, great idea just not great execution.

Will it all be uncovered, who will it hurt the most, what comes out of the dark into the light?
