This isn't usually my thing, but I love stories about hope. A hope for a better life. A hope that despite the past and devastating mistakes, you can always move forward. It's a nice little story, and so close to home in so many ways.

Reading the blurb of WRATH the final statement seemed like a pretty brave one - "A novel about a mistake we could all make and redemption". Especially when you know that the inspiration of the book is the real-life story of a 24-year-old Tennessee man who was executed for murdering his mother and stepfather when he was 13.

Even allowing for a position that implacably rejects the concept of capital punishment, that's, you can't help but feel, a bit more than a mistake on many levels.

A fantastic read, written in the first person, so you feel like you're having an intimate conversation with this guy.
A great book for teenage boys who may be reluctant to read because they think it's 'for girls'.

The injustice in this book was powerful. Adults decisions affect how young children's lives are lived, and they don't have any say in the matter.
