This was meant to be a smut palette cleaner before I move on to other books. Two major aspects irritated the shit out of me. Lena rejecting the guys more than once and they'd shown her repeatedly they were there for her and willing to wait for her (I hate the rejected mate trope so bad) and then Lena being woe is me damsel in distress all the time. The flight scene annoyed me so much I was sucking my teeth at the scene because it was so contrived and at the same time she had no concrete plan on how to escape Zorin that didn't involve the guys!

If you're looking for smut, you'll get it galore but for me it got to a point it was irritating because it served as a means to prolong the plot without it necessarily moving forward. Together with a lot of repetition.

Then, book logic abounds. You mean to tell me they were the only people (in the whole town!) who weren't secluded in a house during the tornado, such that they spent the whole weekend fucking in the library? And it was a tornado with no devastation/damage but it was strong enough for them to remain in their seemingly abandoned library bubble? And the public library, which reads to kids etc, was closed for the weekend and opened Monday at 8 AM like a school? Then they had to keep their shifting private/a secret from the public but the guys just transformed, again, in the library with how many witnesses present? And this library has no security cameras or a night watchman/guard? And the guys can shift but she can't (with no explanation given)? And because we know the 4 babies were for each person to have a baby to their name; they kept going to the normal human doctor and the basic blood work didn't show that these babies didn't all have the same DNA? 🗣️ Uwongo mingi!

In conclusion, not completely bad, not that great. Started off strong, dwindled in the middle, too much damsel in distressing, plot holes abound and not a great finish.

Tried giving this author another chance because I do like omegaverse RH books and she has a lot of them, and I thought maybe she’d get better as she writes more books. Man, was I wrong. This author writes like she’s writing a bad fan fiction and she has no intention of improving her work. She has so many books with mediocre ratings, shouldn’t that be a sign that maybe she should pick up a few new pointers to make her writing better? Everything about this felt like a cringy, cheesy love story written by a tween with repetitive dialogue and cliche plots. And even the spice didn’t salvage the book. Was this a waste of my time? Yes. But at least I now know not to pick up another Layla Sparks book again, even as a smutty palette cleanser, because I would just be sorely disappointed.

This book was a tough read, even by kindle unlimited standards. The plot was so tangled and messy and never-ending and repetitive. I swear there were at least 3 different climactic scenes because the author just couldn't decide where she wanted the story to end. They kill the bad guy? Awesome you could've ended it there with a nice little epilogue. They kill 2 other bad guys and she has *quadruplets* in the same scene? Perfect! The end! Oh cool another massive time skip and they're getting married?? At this point I'm half-convinced that it's never going to be over. The honeymoon scene? I have never been so relieved to reach the end of a book.

There were some elements of the story that had some potential, it just felt like the author wrote a first draft and published it without a single proof read or an editor.

DNF just under 50%.....I wanted to like this story. I mean I like werewolf kink as much as the next girl but this was just GROSS. 🤢 It was just WAY, WAY too much of the dripping all over the floor female body fluids that ruined this for me. I mean that poor library where kids go?! Just a sloppy, gross mess that was just a huge turn off and not even remotely sexy imo.
I couldn't finish it and the storyline wasn't strong enough to keep me on the line.

I enjoy a good reverse harem. This one, could use a lot of editing. I’m not talking grammar, I’m talking writing coaching. I totally understand that the whole omegaverse genre is about heats and knots. This book doesn’t even give the characters a chance to become…anything. It’s so choppy and unnatural - yeah, yeah like omegaverses are natural.

The writing style reminds me of a 14 year old fanfiction writer. Someone who hasn’t quite found their own voice despite having a good plot to write about. This book is 330 pages long and by page 63 they’re already talking with hearts in their eyes. It’s…rushed.

I have to remind myself not to read more from this author because I tend to not finish these books.

Skimmed the last 20% of this book real hard. It started out okay enough. A couple of things kinda drove me crazy throughout the entirety of this. First, generally in a RH, I prefer if each guy sticks to one specific pet name instead of calling the FMC a bunch of different ones — if I miss the name of the POV or whatever, being called a specific pet name is usually enough to clue me into who’s speaking and/or whose POV I’m reading. Second, I didn’t really like the pack dynamic in this. It very much felt like the pack leader (Damon) dominated the relationship with Lena and that his relationship was prioritized over the other two pack members. I really didn’t like this. Third, the dirty/sexy talk was just not it for me. It felt like things were worded awkwardly and it didn’t feel like natural dialogue. Fourth, I feel like I was lured into this under false pretenses. There was absolutely nothing secret about this “secret pregnancy”. And I wish it had been a bit more of a focal point — like we’d get to see more of her pregnancy progression. Also, the timeline on her pregnancy didn’t track. Like I was confused on when she said she felt the baby move, and then it was sixteen weeks later and they go to the doctor, and then it was another 4 months later and she’s only 8 and a half months along…like it just wasn’t making sense to me.

Was für eine Enttäuschung …..
Ich habe mir dem Titel nach wirklich viel von diesem Buch versprochen und wurde mega enttäuscht.
Lena kann fast von Glück sagen, dass ihr altes und gewalttätiges Pack rund um Zorina sie verstoßen hat. Trotzdem beschließt sie aus Angst ihr Leben zukünftig versteckt unter Menschen zu führen. Ihr beschaulicher Alltag als Bibliothekarin wird allerdings plötzlich auf den Kopf gestellt, als ein Pack von Alphas in ihre Bibliothek stolpert und mit ihnen alte und längst verdrängte Ängste und Bedürfnisse in Lena wieder in Erscheinung treten. Leider führen diese neuen Alphas auch die Schatten aus Lena’s Vergangenheit auf ihre Spur und somit sieht Lena als einzigen Auswege die erneute Flucht …..

Auch wenn die Grundidee der Story nicht uninteressant scheint, ist die Geschichte selbst total plump erzählt. Den Charakteren fehlt jegliche Art an Persönlichkeit und Tiefe. Ich wollte Lena wirklich mögen, aber ihre Handlungsweise ist vollkommen irrational und unnachvollziehbar. Als Leser erleidet man ein kleines Schleudertrauma, vor lauter hin und her und Pros und Contras für und gegen das neue Alpha Pack. Die drei Alphas selbst, Damon, Max und Gunnar, kommen leider nur in ihrer körperlichen Rolle als große, starke und sehr potente Alphas zum Einsatz. Befindet man sich mit ihnen nicht gerade in einer „Liebesszene“, dann regnet es Angst und Gewalt. Die Story ist so oberflächlich, dass sie für mich Stellenweise auch total unschlüssig ist und lässt mich mit so vielen offenen Fragen zurück, dass ich das Buch mit einem wirklich frustrierten Gefühl geschlossen habe.
Dieser Story mangelt es einfach an Gefühl und jeglicher Emotion. Schade um die Zeit, die ich diesem Buch gewidmet habe. Ich bin wohl noch mehr enttäuscht, weil mir das letzte Buch, das ich von dieser Autorin gelesen habe (Denied by the Alphas), wirklich gut gefallen hat und sie mit diesem hier in keinster Weise daran anknüpfen konnte.
So leid es mit tut, aber die Geschichte hat mich Szenenweise so vor den Kopf gestoßen und ist für mich so lückenhaft und oberflächlich, dass es hier tatsächlich nur 1 Stern von mir gibt.

So that was a um omegaverse book.

This plot was all over the place. Why is the pack that abused her and left her to die and literally abandoned her, stalking her. And why would she run from alphas offering her protection thus making her escape from 2x the amount of people?

The library setting was only for their one night stand orgy. So don't let that be a big setting or main contention for u to read this book. There's also book murder?? Idk why they rip up a bunch of books to make a nest like they're birds or something LOL

Ok what's with the lowkey assault while she's literally asleep alone in her home and the not letting go of her when she says to go? She was abused before too so how is this group any better? They also drop the can I bite u question on her when they hadn't even kissed yet. Of course she would run! Then they wait months after that to ask again?? Lmao make it make sense

Obviously she gets pregnant, that's like one of the main advertisements for the book but TW it's quadruplets??? Disgusting. And yes they were banging it out all the way to the end. Those babies were fully marinated and came out with a layer of cum on them I bet. And a healthy dose of shaken baby syndrome from the way they were swinging that woman around.

Speaking of which, the math ain't mathing! How is she 8 and a half months then it's ONE MONTH LATER? Nine and a half months WITH QUADRUPLETS!? Literally take me out back and shoot me. If I was this woman I would've suppuku'd them out myself.

This is the second book of Layla Spark’s I’ve read and it felt very much the same. I don’t understand why the Alpha’s fell for Lena other than she’s hot, attractive, whatever. I did love Lena���s librarian representation though. This book is only about 5% plot but I enjoyed it for what it is. It feels like the author wanted to have a plot but got too caught up in the alpha-omega antics. I wouldn’t say it’s a good book but it’s enjoyable for what it is, which is an omega-verse book, do with that what you will. 🙂‍↔️

Her new pack finds her in the middle of a raging storm while she goes into heat. After finding out she’s pregnant, her former pack finds her and tries to kidnap her and destroy her.
The smut is bountiful and good. There’s also plenty of it. As it is an Omegasverse read, there’s lots of knotting.

Lots of spicy scenes

I thought the book started off strong with an interesting plot. I kept reading to see how the FMC was going to solve her problems. The initial scenes where the FMC goes into heat were good. About halfway through the book, all of the spicy scenes just seemed repetitive. A problem pops up, let's have an intimate scene. :( It got very distracting to the main plotline that was happening.

Great bones of a story, poor execution

I stuck with this longer than I should have because of the library primal scene. Pacing was rushed with multiple large time jumps that were jarring. Details were just omitted or not considered. For one example: Werewolves are a secret but how the heck did they handle what happened in the library at the end? It all just felt haphazard. Some dubcon scenes left me a little uneasy. TLDR: the smut parts were decent but the story needed a lot of work.

The only people who are going to truly enjoy this book are ones who are 100% in it for the smut. If that’s what you’re looking for, then this book delivers. If you want a plot that makes sense, a heroine who isn’t TSTL, or a relationship you can get invested in, then look elsewhere.


The story opens with the heroine, Lena, in an abusive relationship with her pack of four alphas. The leader of that pack, Zorin, and the other three, had all courted Lena, showering her with gifts and compliments until she was quite smitten with them. This love-bombing convinced Lena to accept their offer to become their Omega, even though Lena’s mother had tried to tell her they weren’t right for her. But Lena had a very contentious relationship with her mother and had been desperate to get out of her house, so she paid no heed to her mother’s warning.

Some undefined number of “years” later, the book opens with Zorin taking Lena to a werewolf masked ball of some kind. Right from the start, Lena’s inner monologue tells us that this is the first time Zorin has let her out of the house in years. But as he’s escorting her into the ball, he’s cruelly digging his fingers into her hip, harsh enough to cause her pain. Then he leaves her standing alone and goes off with the rest of his pack.

A masked stranger soon strikes up conversation with Lena and asks her to dance. She soon finds herself admitting to the stranger that her pack is not happy with her because she has failed to get pregnant. Then Zorin comes back and drags her away, snapping at her for “embarrassing” him. Then they drive her into the middle of the woods, beat her, and leave her for dead. Saying she’s a useless failure as an Omega, no one ever cared about her, and if she manages to survive the beating then she’d better never show her face around them ever again. Then they leave and Lena is eventually found by another stranger who carries her to the hospital

Okay, couple of things about this opening that I really wish we’d gotten more development on. First of all, what’s with Lena and her mother? We’re told several times in the story that the mother was difficult and unsupportive, but never anything specific. What was the deal there? Your guess is as good as mine.

Second, what’s the deal with Lena’s relationship to her pack? Why did she stay with them for years if they were mistreating her? Had she truly been held prisoner all this time? She doesn’t act like it at the ball. If she’d been a prisoner, I’d have expected her to use this opportunity to try to get away from her captors. It seems more like she was a battered wife, beaten down by the years of mental abuse but it never gets explored in enough detail for us to know for sure.

And why did she never get pregnant by them? If she was with them for YEARS, they must have been through dozens of heats together. Why didn’t she get pregnant? We know it’s not a fertility issue on her side, because she gets pregnant after only one round of sex with our heroes. But can it even be possible for ALL FOUR of the men in Zorin’s pack to have been sterile? Doesn’t sound very likely. but we’ll never know, because it was never discussed.

The story picks up four years later. Lena is working in a library and pretending to be human. She wears scent blockers and takes medicine which blocks her Omega hormones, thus making it so she doesn’t go into heat. She’s still terrified of the idea of seeing Zorin or his pack again. She’s also never gotten back in touch with her family. But there’s no explanation for this either.

Then Gunnar walks into Lena’s library. She can tell he’s an alpha right away and she’s highly attracted to him, but keeps up the ruse that she’s human. Gunnar, for his part, is immediately attracted to her back, but can’t figure out why. Her scent blockers are making her register as human to him, which is against his personal rules for bedmates, but he can tell that there’s something…off about her scent. Still, he walks away without doing anything.

Fast forward to the inciting incident and Lena somehow allows herself to get trapped in the library over a long weekend because of a tornado. Gunnar and the rest of his pack, Damon and Max, are out hunting a psycho killer. Somehow they’ve gotten a tip-off about a werewolf who is a serial killer and since they know the human police don’t stand a chance against him, Damon’s pack take it upon themselves to kill the guy. They’ve just finished doing that when the worst of the tornado hits and they just HAPPEN to be near the library. So they take refuge there too.

Once inside with Lena, they soon realize she’s an Omega and because she’s neglected to bring her heat-blocking medication, she swiftly goes into heat. Nature proceeds to take its course and the four of them spend the whole weekend having sex all over the library. Afterward, Damon’s pack is keen to carry on their relationship with her but Lena insists she’s not interested.

This is another part of the book that was just way too underdeveloped. The entire book we have the heroes being unbelievably kind to Lena. They’re gentle and protective. They let her call the shots with regards to how fast or slow the relationship moves, etc. And Lena just keeps rejecting them over and over…but she never tells us WHY. There was just nothing there.

About a week after their weekend shagfest, Lena comes home to her apartment to find Zorin in her kitchen. She’s terrified and runs away, managing to trip on the stairs in the process. Lucky for her, one of Damon’s pack had been following her, to make sure she was safe. So they swiftly rescue her but when they go to investigate the intruder, he’s gone and there’s no scent left behind? For some reason? This is never explained and just ends up being a plot hole. Lame.

Lena gets taken to the doctor and there she learns she’s pregnant. The doctor, in a shocking HIPAA violation, immediately spills the news to Damon, who is there with her. Now, you’d think this would make it so that Lena HAS to stay with his pack. She’s carrying their baby, after all. But she acts like this doesn’t change anything in her mind. She still doesn’t want to be with them. And that just left me with so many questions about how this world works. Are there Omega single mothers out there raising the kids of packs they’d rejected? Are Omegas even ALLOWED to keep the kids away from their alpha fathers? What are the rules here?

And why doesn’t Lena have any kind of reaction to the news that she’s pregnant? She’d tried for YEARS with her old pack to get pregnant. And Zorin had told her over and over that the problem was with her. That she was useless as an Omega. And yet, here she is, getting pregnant the first time she sleeps with another pack. Shouldn’t that have a major, paradigm shifting impact on her? No, apparently it doesn’t. She skips right over this news as if it’s of no consequence whatsoever.

Lena stays with the men for a while because it’s not safe for her to be on her own. They have lots and lots of sex and it’s amazing for all of them. She does explain about her old pack and the men realize that the reason Zorin must be back now is because the psycho killer guy they’d killed had actually been a member of Zorin’s pack. One of Lena’s former lovers, in fact. Yuck.

Time moves on and we get to a night where they take Lena to a special dinner. Gunnar spends the whole dessert course fingering her under the table but not QUITE allowing her to orgasm. Then they all hustle her upstairs to a hotel room that they’ve had strewn out in rose petals. Despite how hot and bothered Lena was prior to this, the scene hits her like a bucket of ice water because she suspects the men are about to ask her to accept their mark. Which is apparently on the same level as a marriage proposal. And she still insists she doesn’t want that because….something, something, vague reasons.

So they ask to mark her and she turns them down. This really hurts Damon most of all. He doesn’t understand why they’re not enough for her. They take care of her, protect her, love her, AND she’s carrying their pup. But she keeps pushing them away and can’t even articulate why. This lack of explanation goes for us as the reader too. We know that she’s planning to run away from Damon’s pack the very next morning. She insists that it’s “safer.” That she’ll go somewhere with her baby and that doing this will protect them both from…..something, something vague consequences.

It was so frustrating to read. Like, Bitch, your abusive ex was literally IN YOUR HOUSE just a few days ago. He beat you nearly to death and left you in the woods to bleed out. And here you’ve got these three unbelievably kind, strong, and devoted alphas who are bending over backwards to take care of you and who have vowed to protect you and their baby with their very lives….and you think it’s somehow “safer” to run away from that protection and go live on your own? HOW? There’s literally no logic to her thought process. Zorin represents a very clear and present threat to her. He’s already tried to kill her once and is actively stalking her. He found her in her current home LESS THAN A WEEK after he started looking for her. So there’s every reason to think he’d be able to find her again if she ran away. So all that running will do is to separate her and her baby from the only people who stand half a chance of protecting her from this psycho. But she still does it because….reasons.

Anyway, getting back to the hotel room, the men swallow their disappointment at her rejection and they all have sex all night long. Then somehow Lena is able to sneak out of the room without any of the men waking up. Which I call bullshit on since they’re supposed to be on red alert because of the threat from Zorin. But this is the story we’re given. All three of these highly trained alpha wolves slept through their woman getting dressed and leaving the room. Then she gets an uber and goes straight to the airport.

On the plane, just as it’s about to take off, who should sit down next to her but Zorin. Lena tries to call for the flight attendant and ask to get off the plane but she’s told she can’t get off. She’s also not allowed to change seats because the plane is full. What a shocking miracle it is, then, that Zorin managed to not only book a last-minute ticket, but also the seat right next to Lena just happened to be available! What nonsense. Also, if Lena really wanted to get off the plane, she could have just kicked up an almighty ruckus and they’d have thrown her off. So it’s lame that she just meekly sat there next to her abuser because…rules? I guess.

But it’s also very odd that Zorin chose to fly to Little Rock with Lena? Wouldn’t his goal be to take her back to his pack? Who live in the city they’re currently departing from? Why didn’t he just walk up and inject Lena with a sedative or something? Why leave her awake and able to run her mouth?

Zorin’s plan falls even further apart when they land. All Lena has to do is tell him that she needs to pee and he lets her go into the ladies room BY HERSELF AND WITH HER CELL PHONE! What the fuck is even happening here? Does this guy want to kidnap her or not? Why wouldn’t he have taken her phone? Why would he even let her out of his sight? This is just stupid.

So Lena calls Damon and explains what’s up. The men are, of course, a plane ride away, so they can’t physically get there to help her right now, but they come up with the genius idea of calling the airport and having them page Zorin. AND THAT TOTALLY WORKS. He seriously walks away from the bathroom to take the phone call. This guy has completely lost all credibility as a threat.

Once Zorin walks away, Lena runs out to a cab and races off. The men quickly take “the helicopter” to go pick her up. And it was at this point that I realized we knew NOTHING about Damon, Max, and Gunnar. We don’t know what they do for a living, if anything. We don’t know if they have family. If they have their own tragic backstories. Nothing. The only thing we were told is that they killed that guy from Zorin’s pack, and they’d previously been rejected by a different Omega. That’s it. Where does this helicopter come from? That’s not something most people have access to. So are they rich? If so, from what? None of them have even so much as mentioned a job the whole book, let alone gone into the office, so they can’t be business tycoons. Did they just inherit their money? Did they win the lottery? Your guess is as good as mine.

Anyway, Lena apologizes for running out on them and they all go back to the men’s house. There they have lots more sex. After a few months of happy bliss, Zorin manages to break into the house and grab Lena. He says he’s going to mark her before her men have a chance to, thereby hurting them the way they’ve hurt him by killing his pack member. Zorin also plans to take Lena’s baby as his since now she’s no longer “useless” as a broodmare. The men folk show up and fight Zorin, which you’d think would be an easy thing to do since it’s 3 on 1, but though they do manage to kill Zorin, he stabs Damon with a silver knife in the process, poisoning him. He takes a few months to heal but is fine.

The brush with death is enough to get Lena to profess her love for the men, though, and they all take turns marking her. Fast forward another couple of months and Lena is on the verge of giving birth to quadruplets. She’s at the library finishing a few last minute things when the last 2 members of Zorin’s pack break in and hold everyone hostage. Lena’s men arrive and a fight ensues. And, of course, Lena goes into labor while the fight is going on and just pops those babies out one after the other like it’s nothing. The two bad guys are defeated and it’s a HEA, even though I was left with some serious questions.

First of all, there were about a dozen humans in the library when all this went down. They all saw the men shape shift. It’s not made clear whether the humans know about werewolves or not, but what little we get about it lands more on the “not” side. For example, Lena let her coworkers think that Gunnar alone was her husband because they “wouldn’t understand” the Alpha pack / Omega dynamic. Likewise, everyone, including Lena’s doctors, are baffled that she’s managed to incubate four babies all the way to nearly full term when most women would have had to have been induced earlier. Once again, Lena says in her inner monologue that she simply couldn’t explain that her Omega body was evolutionarily designed to bring big litters of pups into the world.

So it seems like the humans do NOT know about werewolves. And yet a whole bunch of them just witnessed five of them shape-shifting and fighting to the death. I feel like the human authorities would have a few questions after this event. I mean, Damon, Gunnar, and Max just murdered two guys in a room full of witnesses. Wouldn’t that spark an investigation of some kind? Apparently we’re just not supposed to think about that because literally nothing is ever said about it.

The story wraps up with our four MCs happily taking care of their babies. The end.

Just so many unanswered questions in this one. Why didn’t Lena get pregnant with her old pack? Why did Zorin decide to beat her and leave her for dead instead of just breaking up with her? And why did he do it that specific night? Why would he take her to a masked ball so she could be seen in public before trying to kill her? Why not just do it at their house since he’d apparently been keeping her locked in there for years and no one had cared? And why beat her up instead of, say, cutting her throat so he could be sure she was dead?

What purpose did it serve in the narrative for the two strangers Lena talked to that night to turn out to be Max and Damon? And why didn’t either one of them recognize her scent when they met her again? For that matter, why didn’t they recognize her as their fated mate that very night? Why did Damon just take her to the hospital that night and leave her there? If he’s such a good guy who is so drawn to her, shouldn’t he have felt compelled to stay with her while she was recuperating? Shouldn’t he have been inexplicably angry that she’d been hurt in that way?

Why didn’t Lena contact her sisters after she got clear of Zorin? For that matter, what happened in her past with her mother? It’s mentioned a few times, but never explained. Why did she let herself get trapped at the library of all places during a tornado? And how come this tornado was soooo bad that she and her men just HAD to stay there all weekend having sex, but there’s never any mention of there being any damage to the world outside. How can a tornado sit right in their town for an entire weekend but not even so much as cause a power outage?

Why does Lena keep pushing the men away? My only guess is that it’s supposed to be because she’s afraid of being abused again, but she doesn’t ACT afraid at any point when she’s with them. She has no qualms whatsoever about standing up for herself. Even going so far as to reject their marriage pproposal when she’s in a room alone with them. That’s not the act of someone who fears the men might turn nasty if she displeases them. That’s the act of a woman who is 100% confident that she’s completely safe with these men…but she still wants to run away from them because…?? There is no because. It’s never explained.

How did Zorin find her so easily once he had a score to settle with Damon’s pack? Did he know where she was the whole time and not care? Or did he just trace Damon’s pack and it was a complete coincidence that they’d happened to shack up with Lena so he quickly decided to use her as part of his revenge? If so, then what would his plan have been if she wasn’t there? To just attack the three of them all by himself? And for that matter, why WAS he there by himself instead of bringing the rest of his pack to avenge their fallen brother?

Why does Lena feel like she can just walk away from Damon’s pack while carrying their babies? Doesn’t she think they have a right to be part of the kids’ lives? And how was she planning to support 4 pups on a librarian’s salary? And what does werewolf society’s rules say about this kind of thing? Is she allowed to just walk off with them? Do the dads have to pay werewolf child support if she does? How would something like that even get enforced since the humans apparently don’t know about them?

I seriously could go on and on, but you get the idea. Nothing about this story hangs together if you think about it for more than a second. But there is lots of steamy sex so if you can enjoy that while ignoring the story, you might like this one.

Se tirar o sexo deste livro, não sobre NADA.

Bora lá. O livro tem uma escrita ok, é fluído e você se envolve bem rápido na história. E qualquer coisa boa termina aí.

Eu vou começar dizendo que entendo o que alguns leitores dizem sobre livros com hot serem os pornôs para mulheres, pq isso aqui, esse livro não conta uma história, ele conta uma vez após a outra diferentes formas de transar. E é esse tipo de livro que mancha a reputação dos romances.

Acho que nunca li tanto, em toda a minha vida de leitora, a palavra ânus. Eu juro, se tiver de 10-12 % de história propriamente dito nesse livro, sem ser infinitas cenas de sexo, eu ainda vou achar muito. E essas cenas são longas, cansativas, desconfortáveis e repetitivas ao extremo.

Depois da segunda vez eu já não estava nenhum pouco interessada em ler e só passava o olho por cima pra ver se tinha alguma coisa da história.

E falando em história, absolutamente tudo de importante é deixado de lado pra que possamos acompanhar a Lena transando indefinidamente. A parte da antiga matilha e da agressão são deixadas de lado até que a autora é obrigada a abordar o tema, e trabalha isso muito porcamente.
A família da Lena tão esquecida quanto olho de sogra em festa infantil.

Umas discrepancias na história tão absurdas sendo relevadas convenientemente para que a narrativa conseguisse avançar.
Um verdadeiro trabalho de preguiçoso.

Os três homens não conseguem compor um homem inteiro. Parece que tem sido recorrente essa minha queixa, mas o minimo que se espera de uma autora que se propõe a escrever romances de harem reverso é que ela consiga dar personalidades distintas para cada um, torna-los únicos. Esse claramente não é o caso da Layla.
São alfas shifters genéricos, que só conseguem "brilhar" quando estão transando.

Não sei o critério que essas gringas usam pra avaliar os livros lá, mas parecem não ter padrão nenhum sobre nada... Qualquer coisa ganha 5 estrelas e é aplaudido.

Nos últimso 10% eu já não aguentava mais, só queria que esse inferno terminasse. E é obvio que a autora tinha que concluir tudo com mais uma cena de sexo infinita.
Meu Deus mona, muda esse disco pq ele tá arranhadíssimo.

A Lena tá no meio dos humanos e lá eles ficam.
A gravidez dela sendo cuidada por médicos humanos?

Os médicos deles?
Como eles se conhecem se vivem no meio dos humanos?
Como encontram seus parceiros?
Você sabe dizer? Bom...a autora também não soube.
Mas ela é a autora né? Deveria saber alguma coisa além de digitar palavras em um arquivo word.

A superficialidade beira o ridículo, e nenhuma narrativa fluída consegue concertar a total falta de personalidade do livro.
E ainda tenho um adendo a fazer que me chocou bastante.
Em uma das cenas na biblioteca a Lena está na sua forma humana e o Gunnar está na forma de lobo. Só isso que tenho a dizer mesmo, não consegui ler a cena toda e só voltei a ler quando ele voltou a ser humano, mas caramba...nojento hein.

Não recomendo.
Se você quer bons livros sobre omegaverso vá ler os livros da Hannah Haze que escreve MUITO bem e sabe compor personagens e histórias únicos.
Isso aqui não dá nem pra chamar de fanfic.
